Get you Gone
The meeting is over, the teams have been assigned, the plans have been laid out. It's time to get weapons.
It's time to wish each other luck, and say goodbyes--with the hope that they're only "good bye for now"s.
It's about to get very hairy from here on out.

GUNS!
Same with other weapons and armor and whatnot. The weapons and armor handout is nigh.
It's time to lock and load.
Re: GUNS!
She started by getting herself a light vest for some extra padding against any torso strikes (because internal organs and protecting them had been stressed immensely) and then... well then she went for the weapons stores, finding a handgun of the sort she'd practiced with and then grabbing a pair of tonfas for good measure.
You couldn't go wrong with carrying a big stick...
Re: GUNS!
He grabbed a dracon beam, and a spare of the conventional kind. He also took a vest, finding it fit well over his Andalite torso. It wouldn't protect the lower organs, in the horse-body-section, but the tail blade was there to help with that.

Those are all tucked into the Shadow along with his blades and throwing needles - immediately accessible but unobtrusive.
Re: GUNS!
"Alright, listen up. We now have near full access to all weapons and armor. However, Stacy has certain safties in place, so I can't hand out everything to whomever. That means; if you're not from the same world as the Master Chief, you won't be getting armor like his; and if you aren't from a world that already has lightsabers, you will not be getting one. Do not waste my time asking, begging, demanding, or threatening to get one; the answer will still be no. That having been said, the weapons that do you use best, we can more than likely outfit you with them.
"Most small arms and basic armor is available in the precinct. If you there's a specialized item, weapon, or armor you're familiar with that's not in there, come see me and I'll see if Stacy has it in inventory.
"Anyone on team GTFO, be advised that you'll more than likely have to travel a great distance on foot. Any weapons you take and armor you wear, you'll have to carry that distance. Try to limit the number of heavy arms you take, but load up on ammunition. You will not have much of a chance to resupply en route.
"Lastly, if anyone has any questions about the weapons, or anything else, now is the time to ask."
((OOC: If your character wants to pick up some regular guns, or something, feel free to have them handwave doing so. If your character wants any specialized weapons, they can ask Leon. Just be advised that if your character is asking for an iconic weapon from another canon [ie: a marvel character asking for a lightsaber] he will more than likely have to say no. If you have any questions, ask them here.))

Guns? Guns are for suckers.
...and emptying her pockets, and emptying her pockets... Damn, that's a lot of stuff.
Odd things like little marbles, baseballs, lengths of chain, assorted jewelry, what looks like at least one sheathed sword, and all kinds of random other things.
"... I have some things I could share," she offers.
[If your character might be interested in something from Roxie's grab bag, post here! She will offer something she thinks will fit your character.]

Re: GUNS!
Needless to say, she was very tempted to get something big and crazy that she was never, ever allowed to touch or play with on the General's base, but reason kicked in. She couldn't get something that was sloppy, or had a steep learning curve, or bad reload times, or something with lots of recoil.
Handgun it was, with a many friggin' bullets as she could cram into her new bulletproof vest, and once that was done, she held up her gun and made sure the safety was on.
"The General would be proud," she said to herself. "His little girl is all grown up and taking out something or other. Maybe."
She was going to protect that medbay and those kids with her life.

Deployment
And wish each other good luck. Everyone is going to need it, even though, right now, they have no idea what's to come.
Re: Deployment
Brainiac 5 is balking at the idea of having a weapon. His intelligence isn't exactly something that can be nullified easily, as far as superpowers go, and his shield belt is formidable enough to forsake the need for weapons. He does however take a few that he can configure along the way for other uses. Even he knows the value of the occasional explosive.
There is no one for him to say goodbye too, or so he thinks. After all, Sensor will be joining him, and he's not especially close to many--not enough that he thinks they'd want to wish him luck. So he ignores the people around him as he does the last bit of readying his equipment.
The monkey is on his shoulder. He needs somewhere for Koko to go for the duration. The little monkey is smart enough to know to stay if Brainy tells him to, but he'd much prefer if someone else were to watch him. Especially since he seems to understand his master is leaving him and is making little ook-ing worried noises over it.
"Don't you start. You're used to this. It's no different from back home, and I don't intend to risk your life just because you want to go where the excitement is."
Koko gets a scratch on the head and a fond look for all his plaintive screechy noises, though.

Eventually, it's time to go. Before they do, Jaime hops up on the ledge one more time, and whistles to get everyone's attention again, one last time.
"Team leaders, you have your assignments." Certain people are in charge of their areas in the basilica. "I'm leaving you in Kirk and Leon's more-than-capable hands. You'll have some last minute work to do, to secure the place, but our team won't move until we get the go ahead. The rest of you, get ready to move out."
But is that all?
"And...and it feels like I should say more than that, so I will."
He causes the armor to recede from his face so everyone can see it.
"Some of you are friends and team-mates and colleages I know from back home, and others of you I've only gotten to know here. But some others--I don't you very well, and some of you I've only even just met. That's how it is for a lot of us--we're all strangers, kind of cast adrift here."
He shakes his head. "I also can't promise we'll be able to pull this off, or that we can pull it off right."
Okay, this is sounding kind of depressing.
"Sorry, I'm not trying to be a downer, I swear--the point I'm getting to is that these are not the best circumstances for us. They're not made any easier by the fact that we're all so different. We're from different worlds, different times--we believe different things, hold different ideals to be sacred."
He raises his head.
"But one thing I think we have to remember, that we all have in common is that whatever our own reasons for it, whoever it is we want to protect most, we're still all people that don't want to see the other people here get hurt."
He's something of a pragmatist. He knows a few of them might be in it for their own survival, but the group's survival is conducive to their own survival. And otherwise, most of them...most of them would rather not see anyone else hurt if it can be helped.
"I just have to say, of all the people to get stuck in a spaceship with for what's probably been months and months--just like the rest of you, I've lost track, too--I'm kind of glad it was all of you." A pause. "I'm not going to do the big rallying cheer thing, because, uh, I can't think of one, so go meatship? And to the people we're leaving behind here in the city: take care of each other like I know you all will, and above all else, good luck."
You have been listening to Jaime Reyes, folks: Number One Super-Awesome Public Speaker of the Year. (That was kinda better than usual, at least).
It's the last time in a long time they hear him talk like this, remotely hopeful, largely because of the group going with him, one of them isn't coming back.
