Get you Gone

The meeting is over, the teams have been assigned, the plans have been laid out. It's time to get weapons.

It's time to wish each other luck, and say goodbyes--with the hope that they're only "good bye for now"s.

It's about to get very hairy from here on out.

Allen already has his colts, but he needs more ammo - and frankly, the revolvers are slow to reload.

Usually, this is why he likes them. This time, though, he suspects a little overkill might not be overkill. So he picks up an extra set of semiautomatics, rooting pickily through the stash to find the kinds he knows are least prone to jamming, still refilling his supply of ammo for the colts. Semiautos jam, but the revolvers have never let him down.

All the while, he looks skeptically at the people around him - a lot of them young, which is not really something he thinks denotes fallibility, but a lot of them he also knows aren't from gun-heavy worlds - or gun-toting families. He's not totally comfortable with this.
