Get you Gone

The meeting is over, the teams have been assigned, the plans have been laid out. It's time to get weapons.

It's time to wish each other luck, and say goodbyes--with the hope that they're only "good bye for now"s.

It's about to get very hairy from here on out.

"Are you going out with the other team?"

Steve was hanging off to the side of the crowd, mostly keeping to himself (as usual.) He had his machine guns on standby at his belt and his arms crossed over his chest (as usual.)

Chris smirked a bit, noting the guns Steve held. "Yea. Gonna be heading out with Leon soon. You take care of yourself, and keep an eye on Claire, Jill, and Sherry for me, alright?"

Steve nodded at him resolutely. Oh, he had no idea of letting anybody get hurt on his watch. Especially not those people.

"You be careful too," he said a little nervously after a minute. "Because Claire is gonna kick your ass if you get hurt."

Chris chuckled a bit. "You think Claire is bad? If I get hurt out there, it had better be damned fatal, or else Jill will put me through Hell."

He gave Steve a playful punch to the shoulder, adding with a bit more seriousness. "I'll be careful. Don't worry about me."

And a punch that nearly sent the kid toppling over. Not like it was hard, but at the same time, Chris was almost literally twice the size of Steve.

He rubbed his arm, but smiled at that. "Hey, I'm just making sure," he said.
