22nd-May-2012 10:11 pm - Anybody lose a Captain? [Open/Active]
That was very strange. No sooner he was catching up on the latest business with the Dalgig, and the Council that he found himself dumped into the Mazes. It didn't make any sense unless something was affecting the AI. It would hardly being surprising with all the changes aboard the ship. Still he was finally back in the city, and had a great deal to catch up on. Again.

He glanced upward, and shot into the air with a sonic boom to investigate the City, and look for anybody familiar to receive updates.

Archite Rekkti, unlike Archon Yavek, does believe that a rule of force is best imposed when you know the habits of the people you are opposing. After the Punishment, with its unexpected resistance, she's realized that the Daligig have misjudged the crew of this ship. Another miscalculation could be fatal, either to them or the crew or both, so she will go through the typical methods that politicians use to ameliorate their opposition.

Rekkti communicates with Stacy, although she no longer trusts the AI, about finding Nathan Petrelli's office. Once she's located it, she steals her way through the city at an odd night hour, so as not to be caught by potentially hostile crew.

She waits in his office after letting herself in, helping herself to the seat behind his desk. Curious, this set-up. How very restrictive, desks and chairs arranged in such a fashion. She also looks into the papers on his desk as she waits

Reviewing any mission is a critical step. Its important to note what went right and what went wrong so that adjustments could be made in the future. But the initial mission reports from Galilee seemed to indicate that everything went ridiculously sideways.

Granted, everyone came back alive, and with the technology they had been seeking. But this mission had clearly gone pear-shaped.

So after giving everyone on the away team a day to recover, say hi to the new arrivals, and get a few tattoos removed, it was time to get some more detailed answers. Leon started, privately, with the Command members on the mission: Nightwing, Fate, and Lash. The three of them were ordered to meet him and Nathan in one of the conference rooms in the Precinct. Kon would have been ordered to attend as well, but he was still in the Medbay, recovering from losing his hand.

When everyone arrived and got settled, Leon only had one question for the group.

"What the hell happened down there?"

1st-Jul-2011 12:04 am - Meat n' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

4th-Jun-2011 10:40 am - Mission: the Time Dragons
||Attention, Attention. The following crew members must report to the Observation Deck...||

All over the ship, Stacy's voice continues to repeat the announcement until the summoned crew members have reported to the Orbs Deck. 8th-May-2011 02:11 pm - Melting Clock: Speaking with Stacy
At the Obs Deck, a small group of crewmembers had gathered for one purpose - to ask Stacy what she knew about the strange melting clock that they now knew had caused some of the crew to starting losing their time.

16th-Apr-2011 11:24 pm - Vacation's over [Closed]
Not long after the crew left XaXing, the ship had received a communication from the GIA, directed for Leon. In it was a new set of orders, ones that weren't part of Stacy's mission list, it seemed. After reviewing the orders, Leon put them into Stacy, which prompted an abrupt change of course.

While they were given more time than Stacy's usual routine of giving them their orders five minutes before dumping them off the ship, they still didn't have a lot of time to prepare, forcing Leon to call a meeting of some of his senior staff.

He was waiting for them in the briefing room that was just off the main bridge, a hologram of the world they were now headed to displayed over the conference table.

13th-Feb-2011 04:05 pm - The Final Test
Eventually, morning came. For those inside the city, it had been a quiet, pleasant night. For those outside...well. At least no one was hurt.

As the sun rose, the sky took on an amazingly beautiful violet hue. As the crew began to awaken, they'd receive a message from Stacy, stating that those intending to attend the meeting with the Moai Elders were to gather near the massive stone stairway that led to the top of the plateau the city of Orongo surrounded.

It was time for the real mission to begin.

7th-Feb-2011 05:31 pm - Till Death (or Liftoff) Do Us Part
Once Domalai made sure the crew was fully informed of what was expected of them in the upcoming rituals, he showed them over to where the Rituals of Judgement and Joining would be performed.

As they neared the gate that led into the city of Orongo, they could see many other people milling about, waiting for their turn to undergo the rituals themselves. The crew, of course, being a special case, are moved to the front of the line. Thankfully, everyone seems to be in a good enough mood that no one puts up a fuss about it.

The first area they were brought to had a simple stone circle, around which were three smaller circles. Two Moai priests were waiting there as they approached, and Domalai moved over to join them before speaking up.

6th-Feb-2011 01:36 pm - Welcome to Orongo
Once those who decided to go along on the mission were gathered on the Obs Deck and had time to go over the mission briefing, the detachment procedures began.

As with the missions before, the doors to the Obs Deck closed before it detached itself from Stacy, tethered by a massive umbilical cord. Those who had been on missions before would find the experience familiar if still somewhat unpleasant, but for those of whom this was their first mission, the sudden lack of gravity and lurching feeling as they entered the atmosphere would come as a surprise.

Thankfully though, the ride was quickly over as they landed safely on the planet below, the gravitational dampeners of the Obs Deck gently dropping the crew members back on their feet. One of the walls opened up, forming a ramp to the ground below. There was a sudden, slight gust of air as the door opened as the thick air rushed in. Even so, the air felt quite warm and refreshing.

Looking outside, the crew would see the bright yellow sun looming overhead, quite close in comparison to the sun on most planets. A handful of small, silver clouds dotted the blueish purple sky.

Ahead of them stood a rather impressive looking plateau, surrounded by a tall, ornate stone wall which was covered in tribal markings. Directly ahead was a large gate through the wall, with several small stone buildings in front of it. Beyond the gates, a larger settlement could be seen. Surrounding the plateau and covering the surrounding region were numerous strange, blue and purplish trees and plants.

29th-Nov-2010 08:56 pm - Strange Visitors
||Mission complete,|| Stacy's voice rang out through the ship. ||Obs deck returning.||

The mission was a success, and so the away team returned, and the Obs Deck was back in it's proper place.

But, this time, they came back with a few more visitors.

Among the returning crew members stood three strange aliens. There was the ever-dour Revus Lod, the energetic Ippli, and the stoic Commander Rahk.

The Lensmen commander looked around at his surroundings, his expression rather inscrutable at the moment.

Anyone want to say hi to the new arrivals?

11th-Nov-2010 10:45 pm - Punishment [Warning: Graphic Imagery]
As the ship was going about its normal business of the day, everything is interrupted when Stacy broadcasts a message to the crew.

||Attention, crew. Your crew mate, Big Zero, has acquired 15 Violations. Therefore, she will now be given Punishment. According to the guidelines in place for Punishment, you are hereby requested to report to the Observation Deck to view the procedure. Though it is not mandatory, it is suggested you attend anyway.||

||It will serve as a reminder that there are consequences to breaking the rules.||

For those brave souls who decide to attend, they'd find Big Zero strung up, dangling from the ceiling of the Obs Deck by her hands, surrounded by a spherical force field.

It was to prevent anyone from...interfering.

[ooc: Warning, this post will contain some rather graphic imagery. Obviously, you don't have to participate in this thread if you don't want to. If your character would ICly go but you personally don't want to know all the nasty details, ping one of the mods and we'll give you the watered down version for your pup to work with.]

Nathan was exiting his office, clearly troubled as he walked along. Sometimes he unconsciously rubbed his neck, as if to make sure there was no scar or blood. He glanced at some of the recent reports after the matter of Steve was straightened out. There were some still in Contagion, and they couldn't quite lock down everyone from being attacked. Locked down for their own good. How bitter it was that he realized what a truly poor decision that was, especially to have the effort spearheaded by someone who not only doesn't have abilities but opposes them to the point of wanting to wipe them out. Danko was a mistake, and he took Noah's warning too late. And because of those mistakes, Sylar got that stronger and took him down. He just prayed Stacy didn't pick that psychopath as one of her 'Chosen.' At least he now knew his brother was one of them even if he's been sent back to the pods.

It put a new perspective on some recent developments around the ship to think about those given abilities. He can't do that again with limiting or promoting fear. It's not us vs. them, or it shouldn't be. Pity it took a second death to truly accept what he was. His steps took him into the city again, and he glanced up in the air. He itched for some true flying again, but not right now. So he continued to walk through the city instead.
27th-Oct-2010 11:56 pm - A Commander's work is never done
Nathan had finally slogged through the latest backlog about the virus, and the Council's recent decisions. He wasn't entirely surprised about clones, it was a questionable topic back home, and it made him wonder if Primatech would ever have tried such actions. He really wouldn't have been surprised if there was an attempt.

The matter of the Yeerks, he was decidedly mixed on. He could still remember what happened with the attack from the previous Sam Winchester, and the trial. But the law felt they had their rights as well, and he wasn't about to argue on the idea. And this particular one did do much to ensure the casualty count wasn't higher.

He sent out a notice of welcome to the newer crew members, with an offer to stop by his office with any questions and concerns.

Though after his office hours, he stepped out of his office in the city, rocking back and forth on his heels. He then tensed and shot into the sky overhead with a sounding boom across the buildings as he took flight overhead again.

(ooc: Catch him in his office or flying over the city.)
2nd-Sep-2010 01:33 am - The End
[[OOC: Read this before tagging.]]

Shiva was about to scream some more at the council’s representatives when he heart the sound of his devices powering down. The force field flickered and shut down, which meant the power dampener was also inactive. The “god” had suddenly become very much a mortal, very much vulnerable…

And oh so very screwed.

“DO NOT COME ANY CLOSER!” This time when he yelled he was not smug or disdainful. He was terrified. “I WILL KILL THEM! I WILL—”

It wasn’t clear if it was planned. With the way Kawalsky’s body was twitching, with the way the sweat poured down his face, it could have been a mistake. Or it could have been intentional, if misguided. However it happened, it was a profound mistake, one the goa’uld would pay for with his life.

He pressed the trigger for the bombs. He had no way of knowing they had all been deactivated. All but one.

And though he was voiceless, though no one could hear him save for two telepaths, Kawalsky screamed. He had tried to help the crew. Communicating to the engineers any advice that could help them disable the devices. They wouldn’t have been able to deactivate them without him, not for a while. So many months after he had broken, he thought he could stop the goa’uld from killing.

He was wrong.
There were four people grumbling with various levels of irritation.

Kate frowned, as she made a beeline to the Sensoriums. "I swear, how many of these stupid experiments does she have to run?"

Dean was scowling as well, and already checking his Omnicomm to get updates.

"Sammy? Cas? Kaylee? Dammit, where the hell is everybody?"

Nathan just shook his head, and flew to his office to check with Sasami and his messages.

Peter meanwhile just stopped and rubbed his eyes, "What the heck was that? And where's the cake already?"

(ooc: Somebody want to bring the poor mun and her people up to speed please?)
10th-Aug-2010 09:33 pm - Comfortably Numb [Sensoriums, Open]
"Another," Hawkeye mumbled as he shook his empty cocktail glass at the bartender. Almost before he set the glass down the bartender was pouring the new drink. "Thank you," he said as he raised the glass to his lips, and took a sip. It was perfect, absolutely perfect. It had only taken him the last two days to teach the idiot...whatever this machine was, to make a martini just right. Well worth the effort in the end, and it wasn't like the drinks that had failed to meet the standard went to waste. Call it an unhealthy way to deal with the news he'd received, he didn't care. There was only one proper way to celebrate being drafted again, and this was it.

It was also the only way he knew to mourn everyone that was gone. He hadn't expected to see any of them again, but not like this. Not all of them being killed in some war they had nothing to do with. BJ, and Rader...just gone, forever. Quietly he drank, and tried to push those thoughts out of his mind. It wasn't working.  Before he knew it his glass was empty again. "Oh bartender!"
29th-Jul-2010 11:28 pm - Swallowing One's Pride [Closed]
It was always hard for anyone to admit that, deep down, they were wrong in anything. This was just one of those moments.

Just a few "days" ago, Sasami had sought one of the coveted positions of the Council. When she found out she lost, she took it hard - to the point where she was subbing everyone who was an adult. However, after a few words with some of her friends (as well as spotting Sensor's message), she realized that she was going about this all wrong. Despite her position in the past and what she wanted to do, she just proved that she was just that: a child.

After taking some time to think, she decided to swallow her pride and go to the one person who was offering alternatives before and after: now-First Officer Nathan Petrelli. Letting out a deep breath as she approached his office, she knocked on his door, hoping that he was in there... and probably hoping he wasn't.
27th-Jul-2010 11:46 pm - PARTY ON!
Hisk is throwing a party in the Drunken Dragon.

She just hasn't told Kang about it.

It's a general purpose party for the election, for winners and losers (and voters!) alike. EVERYONE is invited! There's beer and real food for all, what more could you ask for?

(OOC: If your character wants to help waiting on people/cooking/what have you, go for it. :D And this is a mingle post so feel free to thread about!)
