Stacy's voice came over the comm, blaring across the entire ship.

The mouth in the main sculpture on Obs Deck opened, revealing a screen with the image of a mottled blue and purple planet, rotating slowly.

Time for another mission, then.

Medic looked up at the big structures of the amusement park apparently called Awesome World. What good does having something like this around on a space ship anyway? What with the whole 'take out those big bad aliens that go around destroying places'-thing? Was an amusement park of any use for such a task?

No. It wasn't.

And yet, there it was. Taking up space. Being useless.

Rolling his eyes, Medic turned away to check for the Pyromaniac. Agreeing with his teammate's absurd story wasn't easy, but in order to keep himself from coming up with one weird theory after another, Medic had decided to just go with it until something actually more coherent popped up. So, yes. He totally was on a living space ship right now that would hit him on the head with its tentacles the very moment he dared to aim his weapons at any of those morons around. And he hated it. He really, really hated it! When was the last time he cut apart something that wasn't just a mere holographic projection? When? When?!

Producing an unhappy sound, the German simply sat down in the ground and resumed his waiting while staring at the ground in front of him.
[[OOC: This right here is required reading if you're going to tag. OOC organization is here

For too long the firstborn son of Satan's demonic soul had been trapped, denied his rightful control over Daimon's body. Now, thanks to Mei-Xing, he was finally free. The next course of action was obvious- he would have to take control of one of the beings on this ship. He could start with the vulnerable and move on to the more powerful. He had to act fast before that fool recovered. Fortunately he needn't go very far. The city was full of potential victims.

Now, now. Who to possess first?

13th-Jan-2011 07:45 pm - A safe place... Maybe.
It was a white, unwelcoming room. No windows to let any light in, but a couple of blindingly bright lights directly under the ceiling to make up for the lack of natural light. In most bases the infirmary was located underground to ensure at least a certain safety for the wounded. It was a place no one really wanted to go to willingly, and due to this quickly became the Medic's favorite place to stay at. It was a quiet place to retreat and think. To make up his mind and just work things over. But without a base to defend and without an infirmary to call his own, the sensoriums had to do.

About half of the room's walls were lined with cupboards, different cabinets and a counter to work on. Medical supplies of all kinds could be found there, but clearly were of little use here. More cupboards with different kinds of books and folders filled with paperwork were closer to the desk and equally useless. But they all added to the atmosphere. As did the cold examination table located in a mostly empty area, as it sometimes had to double as operation table. Never anything truly critical, though. Respawn usually took care of those.

The table currently was unoccupied. Safe for the blood it was covered with and which was lazily dripping down to the floor. Also: Fake. As had been the body it had come from. A nice touch, but not nearly as entertaining as the real thing.

More of the red liquid could be found on the Medic sitting behind the desk, scowl right in place as his head rested on his hands and he simply stared off into space, trying to make sense of it all somehow. This used to be the place where he could think best. Made sense out of things. Figure out stuff. But he just couldn't figure this out. Nothing of this made any sense at all, and those weird little theories he had cooked up himself and tossed right at the Pyro a few days ago weren't really that much better than the story the Pyromaniac had offered.

He had avoided the other RED since then. And spending DAYS on his own and with nothing to do even managed to unsettle the German. The man's head dropped down onto the desk unceremonically and he murmured one single word to himself to sum up the entirety of the situation as well as his current mood and how optimistic he was to find any solution at all, aside from simply accepting what he had been told.

"...scheiße."

[[ooc: Okay. So Medic is being his stubborn disbelieving self. Feel free to bother him, but keep in mind: You're doing it at your own risk.]]
Don't tell anyone, but Pyro was actually quite excited to be hanging out with one of his teammates again. Even if that teammate was a bit of a wreck right now. Not that he could blame him! Pyro had been pretty weirded out at first, too, but the sheer coolness that was being in space on a spaceship seemed to outweigh the feeling of being more out of his element than that time he got lost in the BLU base. Thus, he and Medic found themselves at the Drunken Dragon. Even though it looked like it came straight out of King Arthur's court (it most likely did, for all Pyro knew), it was probably still preferable to the alien snot and the tentacles everywhere.

"And here we are!" He said with a flourish. "Decor's a little outdated, but the beer's good, and that's all that matters! So hey, let's grab a drink."
1st-Jan-2011 02:54 pm - Podpop!
[ooc: Newbie Helpers List | Instructions: Post your character with one post establishing them as being podpopped. Tag each other in groups of 2's, 3's, and 4's, to get some interaction to start with. If a thread doesn't already have 2 or 3 people tagged in, tag it with your character's podpop popping near the other people, rather than making a new subthread. If you would like to play out them talking to the AI, please send an email to the mods making the request--we do this only by request. Then move onto the big Newbie Meeting. Once your character has gotten the rundown from the old crew, you may start posting entrance posts and freely tagging.]

||Pod Release Protocols Initating|| Stacy's familiar voice sounds out to all the podmates through the ship.

In the Pod Caverns, there are the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.

There is condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slide out onto the floors, covered in slime.

1st-Jan-2011 02:54 pm - Meat n' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]
