Strange Visitors
||Mission complete,|| Stacy's voice rang out through the ship. ||Obs deck returning.||
The mission was a success, and so the away team returned, and the Obs Deck was back in it's proper place.
But, this time, they came back with a few more visitors.
Among the returning crew members stood three strange aliens. There was the ever-dour Revus Lod, the energetic Ippli, and the stoic Commander Rahk.
The Lensmen commander looked around at his surroundings, his expression rather inscrutable at the moment.
Anyone want to say hi to the new arrivals?

"The crew are a varied people, but they're all here for the same reason, however strange they might seem to you. Just treat them with respect, and they'll do the same...mostly."
She couldn't speak of all of them. They were bound to be suspicious of the new visitors.
"Welcome to Stacy."

"Be nice, Revus," Ippli said. "Even some AIs have feelings too."

"Greetings, and welcome aboard," she began, meeting each of their eyes with her own, keeping her smile warm and welcoming.

Revus rolled his eyes with a sigh, while Commander Rahk gave her a polite nod.
"Greetings," the Commander said.

Interesting. Best to let the Captain handle it for now, since they were obviously military. He could wait until he was introduced.

Commander Rahk, however, was more inscrutable. He stood quietly, keeping still most of the time unless necessary.
After a while though, the Commander noticed Kang standing there, and walked over.
"Oh, sorry," he said simply. "For a moment you looked like someone from my world. Didn't notice the wings."

Though, since they were fascinating aliens, Luis still found himself having to avoid staring too much. "Mucho gusto, amigos. Dr. Luis Sera, Chief Science Officer aboard the ship."

"Quiet, Revus," Rahk said to his subordinate. "I'm Commander Rahk of the Lensmen. These are Revus and Ippli."

He, clearly, had elected to take on the role of suspicious person, and in doing so, had elected to stay on the outskirts of the gathering -- watching, listening, waiting.

So he waited quietly, checking on the status of the friends who had been on the mission and observing the interactions from a distance. When the other department leaders began introducing themselves, he figured that it would be prudent to take a turn.
"Greetings, sirs," said one of the younger group members. "I'm Billy Cranston, the current chief engineer. We're ready if our services are needed."
Yes, it's true. They currently employ a male teenager. Given the shining example set by Julian and the aversion to teens on the ship in general, reactions of disbelief or derision from their guests are entirely expected by Billy.

Revus sighed heavily at the thought of working with a Pre-Bleed, but orders were orders.
"You heard him," Revus said to Billy. "Give me the full run down. What have you got?"

Curiosity's Colour
Crawling on all fours at first, Renne then stands up and trails carefully. At a point roughly halfway to what he thinks is the door to which these visitors come through, he squares off. First thing? An inner check to be sure of his Bondeds. And then?
His dark skin flashes like mad, reeking with living curiosity.

One of them looked like an annoyed, shaved cat, now that she thought about it, and she gave Revus a very, very long look. "Hello," she said, after her staring contest.

"What."
He's a bit of an asshole.

She paused for a moment before approaching them. Diplomacy was nothing new to her, but this was an alien race. Naturals and Coordinators were never that different, and she hoped there were things that could tie these two groups together as well.
Hello!" she began, pleasant as always. "I hope your visit here will be rewarding. My name is Lacus Clyne."

"I know I'm not the first to tell you but welcome. I'm the Scarlet Witch, or Wanda Maximoff if you prefer. I am one of the council members." Though she was fairly sure that wouldn't impress them, if indeed they cared, it was best to introduce herself properly from the start.

Jono was still looking a bit pale and drawn. He hadn't been around much since the day of Punishment. But the new people had drawn him out, piquing his interest. Different from what I'm used t' when it comes t' aliens, though. Mos'ly met Shi'ar an' Kree back home. Skrulls if you were real unlucky.

"Hello," She said, offering the trio a smile. If she was surprised at their strange appearances, she certainly wasn't showing it. "I know you must have heard this a lot already, but welcome to the ship. I'm Lieutenant Fate T. Harlaown. It's nice to meet you all."
no subject
"Greetings," Rahk added.
Revus, on the other hand, looked like he'd rather be anywhere but here.

Instead, she sent a double, silver matted down so as not to attract undue attention. And if she was doing a bit of scanning of the visitors herself? Surely that could be understood.
no subject
In a matter of moments, he had a full scan of the double. His expression while reading it seemed to say "How quaint."

"General Trudy Chacon, Starfighter Command," she said, keeping her hands in her pockets for now. She had no idea if these aliens shook hands. "It's not often we get visitors. Sorry about the mob." She nodded to the hovering crowd.

She would not actively go over to them and greet them, they had enough on that side of things as it was, rather she settled in to analyze, mentally recording those conversations she took in, curious as to the way they interacted and any hints that may be gained from such.
