Starfire had done her best (rather unfairly) to ignore Jinx's presence thus far, perhaps unfairly. She had no desire to fight her formal rival, and she never had, but why cross paths and cause tension?
Now, however, the situation was different. Her only friend from home was gone, and many of her other friendships forged here had ended in repoddings as well. There were very few people left that she counted as friends, and the situation had taken its toll. A warrior whose powers rely on their ability to feel joy and confidence is hindered in a negative state like this.
So, rather unusually, she walks to her destination rather than flying. Perhaps it is worth it to approach a rival after all. When she arrives, she knocks.
"Jinx? Are you here?" | |

That was very strange. No sooner he was catching up on the latest business with the Dalgig, and the Council that he found himself dumped into the Mazes. It didn't make any sense unless something was affecting the AI. It would hardly being surprising with all the changes aboard the ship. Still he was finally back in the city, and had a great deal to catch up on. Again.
He glanced upward, and shot into the air with a sonic boom to investigate the City, and look for anybody familiar to receive updates.

While Diana was never one for overly exercising, usually doing just enough to keep herself in her wonderful curved shape, she did see that the whole ‘clears your mind’ thing was somewhat accurate. And her mind felt very crowded. Plus, she couldn’t argue the disadvantages of being in top physical condition when the ship went to heck for the millionth time. So, she deck out the sensorium into her own gym. A bit of running, then maybe some swimming with Jinx if she texted her to come over. True, by the end of this day she’d most likely be over worked, sore and far too tired, but that almost meant she’d want nothing more than to drift into a dreamless sleep without any weight of past event or futures worries. Provisions had recently discovered the wonders of sky dancing and so spent him time diving and twirling in the air high above Diana’s head, apart from when she was shooting, then he would peck at the ground near her feet to avoid the possibility of stray bullets.

Kleptomania (from Greek: κλέπτειν, kleptein, "to steal", and μανία, "mania"). The irresistible urge to steal items of trivial value.
Well...not always trivial. In fact Jinx preferred they not be that way. But ever since she was a child she found it difficult not to simply take things she had a fondness for. Sparkly things, shiny things, soft comfortable or brightly colored things. So being a thief came naturally to her.
But she wouldn't classify herself as a Kleptomanic. No no. She believed that she was more controlled then that. She had a stronger will.
She also was incredibly greedy.
So when she found a warehouse stocked to the gills with with a wide assortment of items it was impossible to ignore. So many useful things, or things that could potentially be useful. And food! So much food that she hadn't had to eat the slop that Stacy provided in a good long time.
But after awhile the owner of the warehouse became aware of her presence, and had begun systematically upgrading security around the warehouse. Booby traps, locks. Even trying to change locations. But that just enticed the pink haired thief more. How could she resist driving him nuts? And once she found out that it was Howard who owned the warehouse it became a game to her.
And so while Howard and Diana were both away on mission Jinx decided now was the perfect time to restock her supplies and thwart whatever new trick he had devised to keep her out. The last one had been his friend who appeared to be made out of stone, but when Jinx arrived he'd been passed out drunk.
A bit of hex magic popped the lock on the door and she slid in silently eager to see what treasure awaited her tonight.

|| Medical personnel, please report to the Observation Deck. ||
The shuttle from 'Eden' returns to Stacy, carrying the rescue crew and the original crew members that went down to answer the first distress signal. The returning people are bloodied, battered, some grievously injured. Maxine, Diana and Clef are dehydrated and haven't eaten in days. Karis is missing her entire lower half.
But at least she's better off than the corpse and the wand hastily wrapped in sheets and clothing and lying in the back of the return shuttle. Howard Bassem and Cedric Diggory, one laid cold and still by death and the other not even in enough pieces to be scraped up and taken back, never made it home alive. The official causes of death will be respiratory failure and spontaneous combustion, respectively, as if to to provide a clinical, accurate excuse in lieu of questioning a ship that sends children on dangerous missions.
Stacy quickly determines that she is the most qualified to deal with Karis' case and whisks her away to a secluded section of the Medical Bay. The rest of the survivors and the tragedy are left for the crew to deal with.

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicomms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicomm. New crewmates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that), a large afro attached to a smaller girl, and talking ponies among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves. There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in. The Daligig are still, for the most part, keeping to themselves on the ship. However, in one part of the ship, Stacy's managed to take down some of her restrictions. The Daligig may believe themselves safe, but they can, in fact, be followed and spied on.
Stacy seeks out a few select crew members to collude against her masters. She finds Alendian, Splicer and Jinx each get personal visits from the AI.
|| If you are interested i learning more about the Daligig, report to this location and be discreet. ||
They will find themselves in a slimey tunnel, ceiling lower than is comfortable for any of them standing, the sounds of the Daligig echoing above them.

Diana was walking through hydroponics. With Jinx. And Provisions. Like some kind of warped, family outing. ( Why? )
|
Less than an hour after the ship leaves Agrestic's orbit, an announcement is broadcast throughout Stacy.
|| Attention, crew. Your crewmates, Howard Bassem and Charles Merriman, have been apprehended attempting to desert. They will now be given Punishment. According to established guidelines, you are all requested to report to the Observation to witness the Punishment. Attendance is not mandatory, but highly suggested. This will serve as a reminder of the consequences of treason and desertion. ||
On the observation deck, Archon Yavek, Archite Rekkti, two other Daligig and a handful of Kessek soldiers stand outside a spherical force field. Inside the bubble, Orc and Howard are suspended by tentacles looping around their wrists. Orc's ceased thrashing around and struggling against his restraints; rust-colored fissures have developed around his shoulders and forearms from the strain, but now he simply hangs there, looking defeated. Howard's nose is bleeding, and every time a drop falls to the bottom of the forcefield there's a small sizzle. He's weeping and begging the Daligig with every plea possible, but they act as if they aren't listening. Instead, they wait for an audience. - Tags:!location: obs deck, !status: open, allenby beardsley, azula, barbara wright, beastboy, cedric diggory, clef, diana ladris, elisa maza, faiza hussain, goliath, hana asakura, hiccup, hit girl, hououji fuu, howard bassem, jamie mccrimmon, jinx, kanoe zouichi, kaya, kon-el, lash, lord zetta, mordin solus, morgan knight, n'tho 'sraom, nightwing, orc, ranulf, ruffnut thorston, sakura haruno, sandy marko, sarah kerrigan, sensor, simon, sirius black, stature, the tenth doctor, tim drake/red robin, zuko

Jinx hadn't been to this cafe yet, she was aware of it as much as anything else on the ship but so far it was one of the few places she hadn't explored first hand. But Diana was a perfect excuse to see if it was worth the price of admission (free).
She had spent a fair amount of time in cafe's and diners back on her own world in her own universe. It was a peaceful escape from her own team mates where she could have some coffee or a soda, a slice of pie and just people watch. Sometimes she would draw, sometimes she would listen to music and marvel at how easy it was for a girl with pink hair and eyes to blend into the back round of other peoples lives.
It was a necessity as well. Jinx's powers as wonderful and helpful as they were for most of her life seemed to have one major flaw. Any time she tried to cook something more complicated then a bowl of cereal or a sandwich something went horribly wrong. She'd been thrown out of her Home Ec. Class at Hive Academy because of one particularly messy incident involving an automatic mixer and the instructors ponytail.
So making other people cook for her was much easier and more satisfying. A life of petty crime afforded her more then enough to live off the culinary skills of other people.
Back in the moment Jinx scanned the entrance way to see if she should seat herself, or wait to be seated.

Within a school, despite the bad reputation for what is actually served there, cafeterias are a popular gathering place for almost all students, for Transmigration Nine however, this is not the case. In fact, this cafeteria had an even worse reputation for what was dispensed here and due the the fact the crew was not contained to a school and had other places they could freely be, they felt no need to force themselves to sit infront of a pile of grey, unidentifiable slop and chat when they had their own rooms, or better yet, a bar to kill their free time at. Yet, this was where Diana could be found, sat on an empty table (though, to be fair, the vast majority of the tables were empty), with a trey of the glop sat infront of her, with two spoons sticking out of it. Her table seemed to have been picked at random, yes, it was close to the food dispenser, but not as close as it could be, and neither in the center or right at the sides. Despite this, it would not be her singularity (which she seemed rather at ease with) that would draw your attention to her, nor her very attractive appearance. No. Instead it would be that strange, croaking noise coming from her hands that are resting upon the table. Diana takes one of her hands away to pick up one of the spoons, and sheltered underneath the remaining hand there's very young baby bird. Just hatched it seems. Rather ugly looking thing to be honest. All pink and skinny, with a neck that seems like it'll snap any second, and with no feathers whatsoever, just stubby little fleshy appendages that are supposed to grow into wings someday. Its eyes aren't open, there's just these grey slabs where the eyes should be and lined with yellow beak is a gaping red mouth (the only colourful part of the creature really) which opens and shut periodically as it makes the croaking cry for food. The only break between those cries is when Diana spoons some of the gray slop and presses it into the raw read hole, forcing the tiny creature to gulp down the strange sustenance before resuming its demands. It's rather jarring, seeing this gross but fragile looking creature manhandled by such a pretty young girl. And just to add to the oddness of it all, piled next to the hatchling are some perfectly beautiful looking shards of an egg, that catch the light in just the most amazing way. Diana was no fool.
The moment that horrid voice had echoed through the ship she'd thrown herself into survival mode.
She'd scrambled about her make shift 'apartment', ignoring the small bags she'd hidden all over the place and packing whatever else was left into two large pillow cases, especially her food. Her food and water. The first things she'd grabbed. The first things after her stomach had clenched painfully as the threat of taking away their resources rang in her ears. Anything that wouldn't fit went into little extra bags, which this time, she did take with her.
There was no double checking. No handy little checklist. Diana knew what she needed. She grabbed it all and went out the door. Leaving it swinging on its hinges. Closing it was a waste of time.
She strode with purpose. The bags suppressing and difficult to carry, but she pushed on. Dragging the pillow cases, drawstrings and straps of bags wrapped around her like a pack mule.
With panicked breath she walked a long winding path towards Howards warehouse, careful to avoid alleys where she could be trapped in. Keeping behind cover. No running. She was an obvious target already with so much stuff, running would just draw extra attention.
Her load become lighter over time, as she shoved small supply bags into the nooks and corners along the path. No markers. Markers were too obvious. She just had to remember where she put them. And if she couldn't, well, that's what the one's back in the apartment were for.
Hugging the mounds of Howards discarded 'projects' she finally found her way to where the spare key was hidden and went inside.
Throwing the pillowcases down onto the floor she began digging through Howard's stash of supplies before pulling out two massive black bin bags. Shoving them down her blouse, she left the warehouse, locking and stuffing the key back into its hiding place.
She allowed herself one moment to take a deep breath, then she set off in a brisk jog towards the cafeteria, wrenching a lead pipe from one of the haphazard mounds, it was heavy and unwieldly, but it was something.
Time to see if she could avoid robots.

( The trek towards a mind at peace... )"I come here to honor those who have fallen, and for those who will still fall during this war. Allies and enemies alike. I bear the burden of thousands of lives and if fate deems it, there will be countless more until I fall... It's the way of my trade, of my people, the ways of a world where war is never ending and it seems as if those ways will follow me wherever I go. As such, I pledge my blade once more to keep those I care for safe, those that are unable to fend for themselves, those that are caught in between the warring sides even as I do my duty for my own.
I see my foes as equals. Souls intertwined in this on-going war, same coin, different sides. They deserve as much honor as those who fight beside me for it is them who my blade is meant to cut down just as it is theirs that is meant to end my journey.
I see my allies as my wards, meant to be protected and defended against those that mean to harm them. They deserve my protection no matter how different we my be for it is them who are at my side and my back, protecting me just as well.
I see my friends and loved ones as my strength. They deserve my everything for without them I'd be lost, alone, and caught in the void that is inside. They are the ones who I fear for the most, they are my life line, they are my driving force and I'll do anything for them.
It is for all of them that I will continue to carry on the burden bestowed upon me when I pledged my life to this until I fall and cannot get up no more.
Today I reinforce my pledge, my promise, my dedication, my word given when I first became a warrior. In honor of the fallen the past, and the future."With that, she gripped the cold, burning Shadowmourne once more and strapped the massive axe to her back once more before standing up and staring at the large stained glass image of the bearer of the Ashbringer. One of the many heroes she admired.

The Sensoriums are decorated like the most well-tended and enthusiastically holiday-oriented suburb Southern California could have created. Jack-O-Lanterns grin out from driveways and porches; smoke machines belch out onto the sidewalk; orange-tinted Christmas lights twinkle from the rooftops. A loop of Halloween-themed music, from the Monster Mash to Thriller, plays over the scene.
Eva knows there aren't many children on Stacy, but that doesn't mean that the ones here shouldn't have the occasional holiday. Just because they lack a calendar doesn't mean they lack a festive spirit. Besides, almost all kids like candy and she was able to purchase plenty at the theme park and in Geartopia.
Each house has some hologram families giving out candies and chocolates, as well as small toys and little origami animals. Every hologram is dressed up in a ridiculous costume of some sort.
She flits from house to house, imagining up little details to add, dressed in an orange prison jumpsuit she finds unbearably humorous. After sending out a message on the channels, she waits for guests to arrive.

Feeling revitalized and energized from a successful shore leave Jinx was ready to MOVE! She felt her entire body just humming with energy, begging to get that satisfaction that running and leaping from rooftop to rooftop in the city just couldn't do.
Which is how she found herself in this unfortunate situation. Surrounded on all sides by guards with high tech weapons and her holding a beautiful jeweled necklace. The game was keep away. Fight off the troops while keeping the delicate bauble in tact. With a sly smirk she put the necklace on and assumed a defensive stance asking her opponents to make the first move.
The opened fire aiming low as to not damage the treasure she had stolen which was exactly what she wanted. Springing into the air she flipped and landed on one of them using his shoulders as a perch to shoot higher into the air. She began bouncing and flipping around like a taunting grasshopper as they tried desperately to shoot her out of the air. Boots came crashing down on the helmets and shoulders of burly manshaped beings in suits of riot gear. None of them were hurt too badly until she added her patented hex magic to the mix.
One particularly beautiful move that she was proud of was a leap that put her upside down in the air. She held her hands apart and opened fire with waves of pink magic that made her stop mid flight and spin like a seed on the wind. The magic lashed out knocking her opponents to the ground.
And all the while her glittering prize remained comfortably around her neck.
She nailed the landing and part of her had to pause and wonder if it was her own skill or the Sensorium that was allowing her to perform so well in this little exercise. No matter, she felt great and that was all that mattered.

Hana stood atop the roof of one of the many buildings in the city.
The rain was pelting down, but he’d been outside in it so long it mattered no longer. His clothes were soaked and stuck to his body, his hair weighed down by the water and plastered to his face.
After his argument with Ruffnut, he’d kept to himself. He couldn't face other people right now. After all, he thought Ruffnut was one of the close ones, but now…
There was one person he could talk to.
He’d wanted to go back to his room and talk to Cassandra. She’d have cheered him up. She always cheered him up. Then he’d call her pretty and she’d blush. He liked making her blush. The idea of it even brought a shadow of a smile to his dripping lips.
But she wasn’t there. She’d gone. It wasn’t her fault. Everyone went on missions. And he could send her a message. But that wouldn’t be fair to bother her now. He’d wait for her. Like he’d promised he would.
Hana sighed. Taro, who was taking shelter at Hana’s feet, looked up his owner. He gave a sympathetic croon and rested his slender head on one of the sodden boots.
The young Shaman had his arms folded, resting on the wet railings as he looked out at the landscape. When he’d first gotten here, it was so cool. So undiscovered. So inviting.
Now, it just looked lonely.
He bit his bottom lip and buried his head in his arms, choking on a sob.
How had it turned out like this? He thought things had really started looking up.
In one big swoop, it’d gone wrong. He’d been so stupid. Like Ruffnut said.
Stupid Hana. Stupid, little, lonely Hana.
At least he could pretend the wet on his face was only the rain water.
