13th-Aug-2011 01:24 am - Lirath - Space Battle
Run by: Tetra
NPCS: Everyone

The battlefield in the space above Lirath was a tumultuous mess. being both inviting targets for barrage in and of themselves, and also forcing the GIA ships to stay in close to protect them instead of allowing for more maneuvering room. The ice ring around Lirath had been blasted apart, resulting in giant chunks of ice drifting through fire- and sight-lines, providing opportunities for both cover and ambush as well as destruction for the dog-fighting ships weaving in and out of their treacherous paths. The wreckage of GIA and Ohm ships made movement through the battlefield downright hazardous -- who knew if there were still live weapons aboard any of them, just waiting to be tripped by an unwary pilot? The gravitational forces of the nearby planet Kehoe were an unwelcome addition to an already chaotic battlefield, making navigation difficult.

Ohm shrikes strafed the bare handful of GIA capital ships present, causing soundless explosions in the vacuum of space and killing who-knew-how-many allies of Transmigration 9's crew in the process. The GIA fighters seemed barely able to dent the massive Ohm Leviathans that brooded over the planet like bloated, predatory spiders, and those that were still flying were massively damaged, hulls scorched by plasma fire, some barely held together with parts of them vented into space. In some places there were things that looked like clouds of specks-- groups of dead GIA crewman, lost to the void.

Before long, new Ohm bioforms would enter the fray, ones created to compensate for the ship's mecha.

In this scattered and scorched battleground, Starfighter Command would have to fight Ohm ships side by side with the exhausted forces of the GIA, braving massive chunks of ice, wreckage, and of course, the seemingly never-ending forces of the Ohm.

And the tide of battle was already turned against them.

12th-Aug-2011 09:19 pm - Lirath - The Coming Storm
After receiving the warning the Tapestry had provided them, along the order to begin preparations from Councillor Kang, the crew had been getting ready for upcoming combat with the Ohm.

Unfortunately, the rather vague nature of the warning they received meant they had no particular way of knowing exactly when this battle would occur. Understandably, this put some of the crew on edge, but at the very least they had some prior warning that they would be facing the Ohm, rather than being thrown blind into such a dangerous situation. Combat drills, vehicle maintenance and armory inspections seemed to be regular sights for the week or so following Kang's message. Not much time to prepare, but the crew worked with what was given to them.

Eventually, however, the call came.

||Alert, Alert,|| Stacy called out throughout the ship, ||Priority One message from GIA High Command. All crew members please report to the Obs Deck. Repeat, Priority One message from GIA High Command, All crew members please report to the Obs Deck...||

Stacy kept repeating the message over and over until the crew began making their way towards the Obs Deck to receive the message.

[ooc: As implied by the post, we're assuming the crew's ICly had a one-to-two week heads-up about the battle. It was supposed to be played out, but RL timing prevented this from working out. Feel free to come up with the details of your character's preparations on your own

Also, as usual, please wait for subthreads to go up before tagging in.

Edit: It's up! Feel free to start tagging in!]

Having free time again had remained a novel concept for a little while - not worrying about the next mission, or if they were all going to die tomorrow, or any of those things. But after a few days, the old worries started to seep back in. The old guilt. So it was throw herself into work, or into drinking, and there wasn't quite enough privacy to do the latter. Not enough alcohol, either.

Which meant work - analysis, tactics, all of it. Learning what she could to keep more people from being killed. Setsuna's report had been informative, certainly, but the file she'd been sent - ah, that was gold. Which is why she stood in the Sensorium, watching a battle play out in miniature in front of her, as she scribbled notes on paper she'd brought in. That felt a bit odd - but she didn't have a computer rig to back her up right now, and sometimes it was easier to think in handwriting.

2nd-Aug-2011 04:08 pm - Dearly Beloved...
The City didn't have weather as most people knew it, but it was nonetheless a beautiful day - warm weather with a nice breeze, Stacy's sun-equivalent shining in the sky... almost as if it was reflecting the emotions of at least one of the ship's crew. In the middle of the Park, someone had set up a little white lattice archway amongst the hedgerows, decorated with ivy and roses and lilies that looked remarkably real (if they were, in fact, synthetic). In front of the arch were several rows of white chairs, more than enough for anyone who cared to show up.

It was a beautiful day for a wedding.

And frankly, Nanoha needed it. After the chaos and confusion; the rage and terror on Galilee... she didn't think she could ever forget that horrible sense of loss and emptiness when she'd thought that Fate was gone, if only for a day or so. But this would go a long way toward exorcising those demons - a day that she'd dreamed of for years.

Of course, she couldn't go greet anyone yet. She was in her wedding dress, after all! These things needed to be proper.

30th-Jul-2011 01:30 pm - Post Mission Party At The Bar
Its time to unwind, relax and receive news of home. A pod pop occurred while some were on a mission and it's time to meet up with new friends, drink well with old, and relax. The Drunken Dragon has opened its doors and stands ready and willing to assist in forgetting the trials those on the mission experienced.

OOC: If you want a specific barmaid, just put their name in the subject. Otherwise, enjoy, intermingle and do as you like.
12th-Jul-2011 12:42 pm - Welcome to Clean Street [Open!]
Down on the city level, right by the Kohaku River and near the imposing castle, a modern-looking white building welcomed one and all to its promise of running water and warmth. Maybe even a little socializing was in order.

The ramp led up to the heated roof level, where one and all could sit down and relax in an almost sauna-like environment. Below, corridors contained plenty of towels, places to leave clothes, quick showers, and the baths, a number of them sized for any and all comers.

The private areas were accessed through separate corridors on the outside, but the busier communal baths were just as warm and welcoming. Anyone of any size or species was welcome here, so long as they behaved themselves.

[ooc: it's mingling party post time! Just start a thread or hop in one, and note if your character's in a single sex bath, co-ed, or the sauna level upstairs. My characters will be here to meet some people too.]

7th-Jul-2011 12:23 am - The King Is Back, Long Live The King
Grif was back, and he was back with a vengeance.

Or at least, he was lounging on the Obs Deck. It was kind of difficult to pick up the vengeance with which he was doing this, but he was almost making a point out of it.

Grif was on a couch, chilling, and any ceiling voices that had a problem with that could go...

go...

go do something that was insulting to ceiling voice computers with psychological problems, anyway.

Congrats, crew, one (or the only) of your (least?) favorite pieces of orange-armored furniture has returned from the test chambers. Rejoice! (Or not.)

Sakura had scoped out the Drunken Dragon before, if she'd never spent time in the tavern, even with Kang making a point of letting it be known alcohol wasn't the only thing offered at the tavern. Sakura hadn't been too inclined toward fruit juices in the last few whatever units of time since she glooped out of a pod and got felt up in the cleaning chamber. In fact, the ship as a whole made her relationship to odd (and familiar) viscous liquids rather chancy altogether.

None of this was on her mind tonight. This morning. This afternoon. No, whatever actual time this was, the Melting Clock was destroyed, the last few missions that had been chancy for crew were over and no casualties were reported to depress everyone, the Ohm weren't currently about to be directly engaged, Sakura and most of MedBay staff that could afford to be off shift were off shift (if Henderson didn't show himself, she'd be sad, and by all means Rory better be here after his last few "weeks"), and most importantly?

She would never have to talk or hear from Analog again.

"Here's to surviving the last few," she trailed off, "Last few crises, and whatever else is coming! Cheers!" She held up her clay mug to anyone in the general vicinity, tacking on a silent, Wish you were here, everyone. And I hope you cough up a cog or two, Analog!

11th-Jun-2011 09:46 am - The Return of Time
As the Clock was destroyed, all of the stolen time rushed back to it's original owners, causing them to rapidly age back to normal. But as the crew would soon notice, it seemed that the stolen time didn't always go back to exactly the right place...

[[ooc: Time to get back to normal guys! This is basically a case of very rapid ageing - they'll basically speed through the years through about a couple of minutes or so. Of course, everyone won't get back to exactly the right time - most will only be out by a pretty insignificant amount of time (such as a few minutes, or hours, or days, etc - depends how close significant events are to the point they're from.) For those who are using this to change canon point, they're going to end up at a different point, obviously]]

25th-May-2011 10:23 pm - Best Sleepover Ever
A good number of those affected by the clock had reached childhood, and required supervision. Several of the adults had offered to help, and no one was quite sure anymore who had first suggested it, but it was decided that one night, there should be a sleepover, something fun for the children. The idea had grown; Eva had offered Cassie's house, after getting permission from the other non-deaged resident, Aximili.

In the end, it turned out to be a packed house. There were about twenty children running around, and thankfully, there were five adults and two teenagers supervising. Luckily for Eva, she had made sure to childproof the house the best she could beforehand.

It was going to be needed.

[Planning post is here. HAVE AT. A description of Cassie's house is here, and if you have any questions about it, you can ask Lisa (Eva), Blue (Marco), Cait (Rachel) and Kaylin (Ax). Start up subthreads for stuff, and try not to wreck the place. :D; ]

21st-Apr-2011 10:24 pm - Open, Bathhouse, 2 years younger
Cagalli in the bathhouse isn't an odd sight at all. It's pretty much her favorite place to relax alone, even if the 'alone' part ends up not working out for all that long, depending on the day.

If you don't really look closely, there's nothing out of the usual here, but beyond that... she's a bit smaller, her face just a little more youthful. She also looks like she's ready to slip into the water, just that little bit, and take a nice deep breath. Not that she's considering it, but she really wears her emotions out in the open.

"Father..."
If anyone could see Sasami at the moment? They'd be utterly jealous of her. Thanks to the unprecedented event of having two sets of memories, ranging in over 700 years worth of events, Sasami was a rich little 708-year-old girl. Her mind ran rampant at all the stuff she could get with her money, but stopped as something else took priority - she needed equipment and food for her store in the City.

About an hour or so later, Sasami's main mission was complete - dishes, utensils, special stoves and enough food to fully stock both her store and her recently-discovered home. But, even with all this, Sasami still had plenty of money to burn.

"Now, what do I do?"
4th-Apr-2011 09:37 pm - It's five o'clock somewhere!
It was easy to find the Drunken Dragon Tavern, due to the train, and the fact that a good portion of the crew was familiar with the establishment and could point the way. Kang knew that there were a few already planning on stopping by, and that Kaylee could use the help. He also wanted to get more information on the new people, see who was likely to cause problems (Farseer Ildraniath already had) and who wasn't. There were a few he hoped would show up, as well.

Feeling a little happier than usual, despite the Farseer, he took care of business as usual, being sociable and refilling drinks.

[Open post is very open. Feel free to talk to either Kang or Kaylee, or both, or to threadjack (with permission, of course)!]

Hana had been doing this since the early hours of the morning. Well, it might have been morning. His internal clock was still all screwy from this ships' sense of time so it would be more accurate to say that he'd been doing this since he'd woken up.

Details aside, he wandered up and down the many halls of the ship (effectively getting himself pretty lost but he didn't mind), a determined look on his face and a purpose in his stride. Sure, he eventually had to stop for some food because he was never in a good mood when he was hungry, but after that he immediately set about on his mission once again.

His mission was that he would traverse as much of the ship as he possibly could, as many times as he could, periodically placing a hand near his mouth to amplify his voice and calling out to the many inhabitants of the ship.

"HEY! ARE THERE ANY OTHER TEENS OR KIDS HERE!? I'M LOOKING FOR ANY OF THE OTHER KIDS ON THIS SHIP!"

Thankfully, Hana was nice enough to stop and talk to anyone who wanted to question his new odd pass-time, be they child or not.

"YAAAAAHoh crap!"

Allenby found herself, somewhat unexpectedly, ten feet above the ground. Trust that damn computer lady to spit her out in a position like this! After a millisecond of mid-air flailing, she managed to land unceremoniously on her backside.

No sooner had she touched down than Allenby was back on her feet and launching herself towards the wall she'd just hurtled out of. "No you don't!--dammit!" She pounded her fist on the spot where the portal had been a moment ago. "Yeah well, you better keep that thing shut if ya know what's good for you! If I get back in there I'll find you this time and pound you into circuits, got it?!"

At the moment, figuring out where she was (which happened to be crew quarters) or how long she'd been running mazes was secondary to giving GLaDOS a piece of her mind.
26th-Feb-2011 05:00 am - Free ice cream! [open]
Alex sat beneath the shade of a large tree in a decent sized park. Those familiar with New York might recognize the sky scrapers in the distance, even if they didn't recognize the park itself.  Parked on a small service road was an ice cream truck with a merry vendor, who claimed that it was customer appreciation day, and was thus giving ice cream away for free.

Alex was already enjoying a chocolate and strawberry cone covered in sprinkles and caramel syrup, wondering if anyone would bother showing up to spend time with him, or even be interested in sensorium ice cream in the first place.

Either way, Alice seemed thrilled, as she pulled what appeared to be pink chocolate chips from a jar labelled "Yogis".  Reaching out to pet Alice, Alex laughed a bit, "Don't get used to eating s-so many." sensorium food might not mess with her health, but once they got home, it would be the real thing once again. He figured that she deserved the treat as much as he deserved the ice cream anyway.

[OOC: Post to Alex or to other people if you'd like.]
22nd-Feb-2011 11:24 pm - Exploration... [Open]
There are many places a kid shouldn't wander around in.

One of those places is the hangar.

Sasami had gotten a bit curious about the hangar and what was inside it, prompting her to head in and take a look around. Granted, she wanted to do so long ago, attempting to find her old ship, but things had gotten hectic and she had completely forgotten about it. Did it really matter much now? Probably not, but it would be nice to have something from home.

Wandering around the hangar, she had started to feel a bit intimidated - cars and motorcycles are one thing, but X-Wings and Gundams and Zords and all that? Seeing them larger than life made them awe-inspiring and just a bit scary...
6th-Feb-2011 01:36 pm - Welcome to Orongo
Once those who decided to go along on the mission were gathered on the Obs Deck and had time to go over the mission briefing, the detachment procedures began.

As with the missions before, the doors to the Obs Deck closed before it detached itself from Stacy, tethered by a massive umbilical cord. Those who had been on missions before would find the experience familiar if still somewhat unpleasant, but for those of whom this was their first mission, the sudden lack of gravity and lurching feeling as they entered the atmosphere would come as a surprise.

Thankfully though, the ride was quickly over as they landed safely on the planet below, the gravitational dampeners of the Obs Deck gently dropping the crew members back on their feet. One of the walls opened up, forming a ramp to the ground below. There was a sudden, slight gust of air as the door opened as the thick air rushed in. Even so, the air felt quite warm and refreshing.

Looking outside, the crew would see the bright yellow sun looming overhead, quite close in comparison to the sun on most planets. A handful of small, silver clouds dotted the blueish purple sky.

Ahead of them stood a rather impressive looking plateau, surrounded by a tall, ornate stone wall which was covered in tribal markings. Directly ahead was a large gate through the wall, with several small stone buildings in front of it. Beyond the gates, a larger settlement could be seen. Surrounding the plateau and covering the surrounding region were numerous strange, blue and purplish trees and plants.

The city of Townsville!

Jump City, a great place to live if you want the west coast style but can't afford San Fransisco and are afraid of the more crime ridden areas of L.A.

This Sensorium room had once again been transformed into the sprawling big little city as per Beastboy's memories for the purpose of training...and maybe just having a little fun.

"Be it ever so humble." Beastboy smiled warmly gazing out across the bay to Titan's Tower. He missed it so bad that he sometimes spent entire days flying about the city looking for what might be the remains of his beloved T shaped home. But so far no luck.

But there was always tomorrow.
23rd-Jan-2011 07:38 pm - Long Shots [OPEN]
There were some unusual sounds in the Hangar today. Namely, the sounds of a large particle rifle discharging several rounds, followed by the sound of whatever was on the wrong end of those shots quite violently becoming shards of scrap metal. Occasionally, there were also some loud thump, thump, thumps, as a pair of mobile suits would periodically reposition themselves.

Yep. Mobile suits. Or more specifically, the Gundams known as Dynames and the 00 Raiser.

"Target row cleared. Hit rate: 100%" he spoke over the comms, his voice as emotionless as it always was. "You can commence firing at the next row at your discretion."

Still, while Setsuna's attention might have been focused on Lockon's ability, the fact that there were two giant robots blowing stuff up indoors might draw the attention of others as well.

[Feel free to talk to Setsuna or Lockon or both, or whomever else is around. Thread crashing is encouraged, though you might want to ask first just to be safe]
