The Precinct was in bad shape. No question, that AI bitch did a number on a lot of places. That wasn't the worse part however. The worse is the increased casualties in the pods that were slaughtered. If he wasn't so busy taking down robots and trying to keep safe the crew that they could...

Well. At least swinging a hammer made a better use for diffusing rage as opposed to other methods. He couldn't afford to curl up in a bottle this time either. Tempting as it was. Still he felt he couldn't even keep his damn promise to Leon a long time ago to protect the ship and the crew.

He grimaced before hammering another board to shore up one of the windows for the time being.

Nearby, Xander was also hammering. Dean had called him to bring some tools over to the Precinct, and he could see why. He was going to be busy for months at this rate with all the mess SHODAN left behind. He was still upset with what happened in the pods, but there was only so much that could be done. Still if they had such a hard time with this, it was a big blow of morale for taking out the Ohm. Still he didn't point it out to the Security co-head. Guy clearly had enough on his plate, and looked like he needed the distraction of re-building as much as the construction worker did.

(ooc: Two-fer post, talk to Dean or Xander. Just indicate preference at top of post or subject if available.)
Following you awakening and talking with a few of the members through the communication systems by way of the three kind people who had awakened her, Nezaitben realized how the crew was stuck in a terrible mess.

So many of them felt sad and depressed. Considering the entire ship, it wasn't too hard to see why. The next day, there had been an unusual amount of magical flowers spreading all over the ship. Nothing that damaged the controls (she might be naive in the way humanoids were, but Nezaitben was no fool either) but they were found in the most unexpected of places. Her own awakening area was now blooming in a flower paradise, the wooden palace standing proudly on top, the smell and pink cherry blossom strong enough to carry through most of the central city area where most people resided.

Yet the ship was still sad.

This would not do.

That night, or what passed as a night for in the ship, Nezaitben took to the 'sky', letting pieces of her own essence fall on top of the sleeping populace, or those that were not sleeping finding themselves feeling the need too. Enveloping the ship into a peaceful slumber, she searched their dreams. The powers granted to her by the pantheon of gods in her homeworld allowed Nezaitben to weave a series of dreamcatchers giving her the ability to see those whose hearts connected true.

These noble souls would do. Lead by example had always been her philosophy. She would give them a great gift - communication with each other in a single body, allowing them to share everything together. Their two soulcatchers were woven together that night into a single, grand ones, hanging in the garden's trees.

A few minutes later, the empty husks of the bodies that weren't being used showed up at her palace. With a smile, she welcomed them like her own children and began to dress them for their task.

That morning, some of the crewmen would wake up to a strange surprise...and that would just be the beginning of a long, strange misunderstanding and young gods trying too much to please everyone.

[OOC - Just a few rules. Keep in mind the listed rules. You can all start your own threads of waking up in the bodies of others. If you feel like leaving a 2nd post for other people to intact with them, start a reply to your own first post with OPEN header. That way everyone else will know where to post and if you don't feel like having an open interaction post right away, you won't have to!

There will also be another post for all the soulless characters to go around spreading joy and love, so look forward to that too!]

31st-Oct-2011 08:37 pm - Working for a living
Which is what Xander was trying to do in his shop at the moment. Recent shore leaves helped him shore up even more supplies. Which was a great thing since it seemed like he was getting orders all the time from people for furniture or help in their homes in the city. Some of the rides on the last one weren't bad. But he had to admit the western themed world was even better. He even got some spurs.

Uh not that he had special plans with those or anything. It's just part of the outfit. Right.
Nervous? Why should he be nervous? They talked before (kind of), they even married (though only for a mission mostly), and slept together( weirdest night EVER). Everything should be great. Full of song and dance... wait no, that's bad because that way leads to people burning up and he already apologized a million times for that demon.

Right, so it's sort of a date. Kind of. Maybe. Well it's just the two of them walking around and talking, it's harder to do the traditional dinner and a movie on the ship. There's not a Bronze-like place to hang out or a coffee place for coffee. Sooo ok, maybe this isn't a great idea, but Sam seemed to like it. He definitely liked it, so it's good.

Good.

Now about the knocking on the door part. He should really do something about that.

(OOC: After Sam's thread, gawkers, popcorn eaters, and the like are welcome to be peanut gallery to comment or run into them.)
Really he isn't. It's not like he was necessarily avoiding places like the Media Library or the Winchester House. Just crazy people who are clearly following him way too closely would suggest such an idea.

So Sam knows, and well while it wasn't an out and out no.... It wasn't a yes either. Just a maybe. Maybe was still iffy, he'd been in the maybe category before. For a long time, he wanted to think Buffy considered him a maybe until Cordelia came along and for a while that didn't matter. Though even Anya thought he still kept an old flame for the Slayer.

Man, what would she say now? Would she think Willow corrupted him with her gayness, or figure it was probably always a possibility. (And not like Will really 'gayed' him up like he asked her too? Then again maybe he should have guessed something with how Larry spoke with him, and how he never could really correct the poor guy. Even Andrew made a few comments here and there how he probably batted for both teams.) Great, he's yammering in his head. Again. He should go for a walk. In the City.

Or maybe he'll stay in his shop. Just a little longer.
Xander found the selling memories guy too creepy. The only memories he would consider selling would be those fake ones from the fake older Xander guy who helped up screw up his first wedding. And he was trying not to think too much about the second wedding, even though he had been helping the Winchesters with the home improvements. Sam was still mostly clueless, and he was getting tired of Dean's glares.

At least there's another shore leave with plenty of housewares shops with supplies for guys who like to build. As long as you got the dough. Still the allowance Stacy offered helped a lot with getting much needed equipment for his shop. There were some fun power tools in one shop that looked promising. Also a socket wrench set that would make the Tool Time guys weep with joy.
21st-Feb-2011 08:57 pm - Freedom (Of A Sort)
To Buffy Anne Summers, it seemed like the only reason she'd been podpopped in the first place was to have been placed in GLaDOS right away, forced to run mazes and the like. It was an experience that had somewhat reminded Buffy of her eighteenth birthday, when Giles had secretly sedated her powers away so that she'd have to fight a vampire all on her lonesome. The Cruciamentum, the Council of Watchers had called it.

Okay, so it wasn't that unfortunate of an experience, but still. Forced testing does not a happy Slayer make.

She brushed back her hair and stared up at the statues in the art hall. As much as she did not want to be, she was mystified by them. Buffy hadn't run across them before, but she was quickly figuring out that they depicted the scenes from one's life. At the moment, it was showing Buffy when she was powerless and running away from some thugs, on the night of her Cruciamentum.

Because that's something I definitely wanted to be reminded of, she thought dryly.

Finally, though, the Slayer forced herself to turn away from the statues. Enough taunting. I need food. Or something.
Not everybody wanted to go to the consummation huts straight off the bat. Which meant if they wanted to get cleaned up, they needed another spot to do so in.

Luckily, the city had just such a place: the great public baths. They were rather immense. And open, since the Moai didn't have much in the way of nudity taboos. There were private stalls around the edges, though, for those who weren't quite so open. Or just wanted to do a little 'private' bathing (wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more). It's traditional for the baths to take a while. After all, pretty much everybody here has just gotten married! Enjoy!

(Oh. And your clothes are going to disappear. Nothing personal, the Rapa Nui just want to make sure you have something clean and dry to change into when you've bathed. Isn't that nice?)

((Yep, there are public baths in the city. Have fun with it! And Jono's still outside the city. I just want to be able to get notifs after I ask for no notifications on the main post.))
6th-Feb-2011 01:36 pm - Welcome to Orongo
Once those who decided to go along on the mission were gathered on the Obs Deck and had time to go over the mission briefing, the detachment procedures began.

As with the missions before, the doors to the Obs Deck closed before it detached itself from Stacy, tethered by a massive umbilical cord. Those who had been on missions before would find the experience familiar if still somewhat unpleasant, but for those of whom this was their first mission, the sudden lack of gravity and lurching feeling as they entered the atmosphere would come as a surprise.

Thankfully though, the ride was quickly over as they landed safely on the planet below, the gravitational dampeners of the Obs Deck gently dropping the crew members back on their feet. One of the walls opened up, forming a ramp to the ground below. There was a sudden, slight gust of air as the door opened as the thick air rushed in. Even so, the air felt quite warm and refreshing.

Looking outside, the crew would see the bright yellow sun looming overhead, quite close in comparison to the sun on most planets. A handful of small, silver clouds dotted the blueish purple sky.

Ahead of them stood a rather impressive looking plateau, surrounded by a tall, ornate stone wall which was covered in tribal markings. Directly ahead was a large gate through the wall, with several small stone buildings in front of it. Beyond the gates, a larger settlement could be seen. Surrounding the plateau and covering the surrounding region were numerous strange, blue and purplish trees and plants.

It was done.

Xander, Kang and Ed had worked on it for several days, and the end result was a fairly decent-sized forge, complete with all the tools of the trade. They'd done a bit of research to make sure that Hiccup had everything he would need.

Having sent the message, the three of them waited for the boy to show up.

It should not be possible, but the Hikari Studio looked worse than it did when Tsukasa started working on it. The door had fallen off of the frame entirely after an attempt at replacing its hinges; there were medium-sized holes in the roof where there had once been small ones, and a large hole in the wall that had some rather poor attempts to put in.

So when he noticed the advertisement on the Omnicomm though, he put in a reply. The amount of work he done was not reflected in the current results, so an attempt at branching out and pulling in an expert made sense.

While he was waiting for Xander to arrive, though...a(nother) section of roof collapsed, making one of the holes even larger. Tsukasa glared at said hole for a bit before announcing to the heavens, "You're enjoying this, aren't you?!"
Down on the surface of the planet Zokez II, Stacy's erstwhile (and hopefully much more relaxed) crew began receiving messages over their comm rings and omnicoms.

||Shore Leave is now over, please return to the site for pick up. I repeat, Shore Leave is now over, please return to the site for pick up. I hope you have enjoyed your stay on Zokez II, but all good things must come to an end. Please return to the site for pick up. If you do not return, you will be left behind.||

She means it, too. Better get your butts back to the ship.

14th-Jun-2010 05:53 pm - Shopping for Food [Very Open]
Matt was many things, and budgeting finances was one of them. As such, he found the local equivalent of a No Frills after some searching and had sent people on a mission. Specifically to pick up what they needed, be it clothing, supplies both personal and regular, and devoted a small chunk of money they all set aside to food. Mostly a canned supply, but whatever they wanted personally had to be carefully sorted out.

Matt was determined to make their money last, and he was pushing a cart after calculating the cost mentally. "Not bad. This is about a quarter of the money from my own stock."

He was whistling as he turned onto the local equivalent of a dairy asile. Seriously, it was more like a No Frills combined with a Walmart, the store was so huge and incredibly cheap. It was obviously the go-to building for warehouse level clearance.

(ooc: anyone is allowed to post and mingle! This is primarily for food and personal items rather than the clothing store.)
11th-Jun-2010 08:58 pm - Shore Leave!
Suddenly, the usual relative peace of the ship is disrupted by a rather loud announcement from Stacy.

||Attention, Attention. All personnel please report to the Observation Deck. Attention, Attention. All personnel please report to the Observation Deck. Attention, Attention, all personnel...||

It's entirely likely that she won't stop repeating the announcement until, well, everyone reports to Obs Deck. The mouth in the huge statue on the wall opens, revealing a screen. On it, the dossier for the mission flickers into display, understandable to every person there. Smaller copies of the dossier appear in holographic form in front of everyone.

The planet's stats, right next to a rotating picture of it, blue with thousands of small islands just barely visible, are as follows:

Mission Dossier )

...Waitaminute. That's no mission.

It's a goddamn vacation.

Amidst all the hubub of all the recent additions to the crew, Stacy suddenly stops whatever she was doing at the time across the ship to make an important announcement.

||Warning, general notice to all crew: One of the recently released crew mates, John Connor, has stolen a number of pieces of weaponry from the armory. It also appears he is mentally and emotionally unstable at this point in time. As he is armed and likely dangerous to the crew, it is highly recommended that the crew at large avoid him if at all possible, and that security teams be sent to secure him and the weaponry.||

||It seems he is currently down in the city, but as my sensors down there are still damaged, I cannot track his exact location.||

||Good luck, and be careful.||

27th-Mar-2010 05:03 pm - Points to the glorified bricklayer
Xander was in the city, overlooking the damage. It was odd how he knew things got messed up, but couldn't remember how now. Something to do with the whole Nightmare business. Well no matter, it needed to get straightened up, and see what was possibly salvageable or repairable. Not the best niche around, but a necessary one, and at least it was a good area he was familiar with.

As it was, he got started making his way through some of the rubble to see how to get started.
20th-Mar-2010 12:10 am - Some Beach... [Totally OPEN!]
It was going to be like the much needed vacation stuck on a ship with people from all forms of live in the middle of the Black. What better way to take a quick break than to go to the sensoriums and ask Stacy for the most tropical place that she could think of that was crew friendly? It was perfect. That was all Gwen could say as she stretched out on her beach chair soaking up fake sun resting on the fake sand as the fake crystal blue water lapped at the empty beach.

Okay sure none of it was real but it was as close as the red head could get and she was going to enjoy every single minute of it. The fact that there was plenty of room for others to come and enjoy it was just what she possibly thought everyone needed. So Gwen had sent out a text over the waves for people to come on up and bring their sunscreen for the fun that could be had. There was a wetbar not far up nestled under the large palm trees and tropical plants with their own virtual bar tender, heck there was even a place to rent a surfboard or boogieboard if no one was daring enough to test the waves. Thankfully she had asked Stacy to leave the sharks out. No one wanted to reenact the movie Jaws while they were there.. she hoped. Even an empty volleyball court was just down the way waiting on someone to take up a game or three.

Everything was... perfect.

With a pleased little smile Gwen settled back against her chair only adjusting the large sunglasses once. Yep. This was the life.
16th-Mar-2010 03:00 pm - Urban Restoration Committee is go!
Gauron's set up a conference room in the sensoriums to discuss his plans for the city; true to his word, there is food - pastries, sushi, yakitori, and baozi, for the moment, but it's the sensoriums: it's not like you can't have something else if you want - and several choices of teas and gourmet coffees. One wall is taken up by a massive window, looking out over a partly cloud-shrouded mountainside, but the real focal point of the room is the massive table in the center - more specifically, the three-dimensional map of the city occupying most of its surface, updated to reflect the changes Aang had made to numerous buildings' state of existence.

All that's left is seeing whether anyone actually shows, or whether he'd have to mention that he wanted to pay people for their involvement in this as soon as there was someone in charge of the ship's finances before anyone would be arsed - and probably piss off the command staff in the process, because he hadn't said anything about it to them yet.
