The Final Test
Eventually, morning came. For those inside the city, it had been a quiet, pleasant night. For those outside...well. At least no one was hurt.
As the sun rose, the sky took on an amazingly beautiful violet hue. As the crew began to awaken, they'd receive a message from Stacy, stating that those intending to attend the meeting with the Moai Elders were to gather near the massive stone stairway that led to the top of the plateau the city of Orongo surrounded.
It was time for the real mission to begin.

Arrivals
It seemed a shame that their time there was going to end soon.

Re: Arrivals
Besides, she was pretty interested in what they'd been brought here to get in the first place. And there'd be time for all that again later.

"Morning," he said. "Sleep well?"

She decided to wake herself up by doing a few stretches in the meantime just to get the blood flowing.

"How did you sleep?"
Re: Arrivals
Still, when the morning came and the message with it? She was actually pretty relieved. At least the marriages would be over soon, right?

Re: Arrivals
Time to get down to business.

"Setsuna?" she asked quietly. "Are you awake?"

"Affirmative." He didn't bother moving, though. "How long until the next phase?"

Re: Arrivals
Rubbing the last bits of sleep from his eyes, he goes over to join everyone else.
Re: Arrivals
Ahem.
Other than that, he was all cleaned up and ready for this part of the mission, in a sleeveless, bright blue tunic and dark brown leggings he'd bought here on the planet, a thick leather belt around his waist.
Oddly, despite the circles under his eyes, it could be said that there was perhaps a spring to his step, a certain joie de vivre. Something about how he carried himself was different and with the fine clothes, he looked almost...manlier. And he was smiling an awful lot at absolutely nothing.
Whatever it was, he seemed awfully preoccupied with his girlfriend, hovering near her, occasionally whispering things to her with a grin, touching her arm at times, ghosting a hand around her waist.
Mind on the mission, Hiccup! You're getting distracted.
Re: Arrivals
If she knew she would be climbing stairs the next morning, she'd have cut their city adventure shorter, and opted to have more self-control.
His giddiness was so worth it, though.
Astrid lingered next to Hiccup, watching him practically dance around. And whatever he had been whispering got him a playful nudge, or abashed shove.
Fatigued, pleased, and so glad they had water for convenient purposes, and for thinking ahead when she bought spare clothing, Astrid donned her own red, elbow-sleeved feminine tunic, and leggings under knee-high boots. Definitely a lot more practical than the ceremony gear.
At any case, the real mission better start soon, but she had a hunch it can't be as boisterous as the other day.

The Meeting
Once they reached the crew, the center priest bowed and addressed them.
"Greetings," he said. "We are here to escort you to the Temple of the Sacred Mount."
Re: The Meeting
"All right, let's get this -- wait. Temple. There aren't traps or anything, are there? I'm not penitent for anybody and I spell words with J's in them with freaking J's, let's get that clear right now."
