Ever since he'd talked to Aang and watched the guy swimming around with an imaginary dolphin, Marco had been kinda missing his dolphin morph. The dolphin morph was, without fail, always fun. And hey, Marco was definitely a fan of fun.

So he'd called up the pier over the ocean again, jumped into the water, and morphed dolphin. Marco clicked happily as the dolphin's bubbly personality rose up. He needed to play a game!

Angling his fins, Marco started swimming around underneath the pier, swerving inbetween the poles. He needed to go faster!
Sofia didn't want to venture outside of her room. She'd stayed inside and cried on and off for days but she had more than just herself to worry about. Spot, the dog she and Laurie had adopted, needed exercise so Sofia brought him to Hydroponics. After wandering aimlessly for a bit she sat down under a tree and watched as the purple and green dog ran around.

You didn't have to be an expert to see that Sofia's normal cheer was gone.

[[OOC: This is closed to Aang but if you really want your character to run into a depressed Sofia you can poke me then comment.]]
3rd-Mar-2011 06:53 pm - Flights of Meh-ncy [Open]
Pixie darted around the skyline of the city, quite honestly bored with herself. She supposed that she could have gone to the media library, but really wasn't something she was feeling all that moment, and one could only groove to so many Dazzler tunes in the Sensoriums before getting bored of that as well.

Exhausting all of her resources (and convincing herself that it would be improper to sell people her hallucinogenic pixie dust), Pixie had instead decided to play Tinkerbell. Sure, it was immature, but she had wings, and what better thing to do than circle around this castle or that, pretending to be the famous fairy that Walt Disney had made his mascot so many years ago?

A lot, actually, Megan, Pixie thought to herself as she circled around the Gotham Clocktower before coming down in the statuary.

She hadn't actually seen this place before either, now that she came to think of it. Hopefully, none of the statues here would show her things she would rather not know. She'd had enough of that upstairs.

She landed in front of Luke Skywalker and flipped a switch at its base. Nothing. She flipped it again. Still nothing. Pixie then backed away and sprinkled sparkly pixie dust on the statue. Still nothing, but at least it looked pretty?

Pixie sighed.

She needed something...adventurous.
25th-Feb-2011 07:28 pm - Come fly with me [OPEN]
Sofia rose above the city, riding on the wind. Even though a lot of the city was a mess, there was something calming about seeing everything from the air. It brought her a sense of peace and perspective. But mostly she liked using her powers, especially after thinking she would never be able to use them again.

[[OOC: If your character can't fly they can just say hi after she's settled on the ground.]]
7th-Feb-2011 09:45 pm - The Sacred City
After the crew finished up with the Rituals of Judgement and Joining, they were permitted to enter the city proper.

Orongo was even more impressive than it appeared from outside the wall. Despite the primitive seeming architecture, the city was alive with lights and sounds and colors. The numerous stone buildings were covered in bright paints in beautiful swirling designs, each one a unique piece of art. People milled about the city in droves, many of them various examples of random alien species, though there were quite a few Moai and knee-high Rapa Nui moving about.

The priests that directed them into the city indicated to them to the Consummation Huts, where they would be spending the night, regardless of whether they chose to use them to their...eh hem...full potential, or not.

As they entered the city, each of them got the same message from Stacy.

||You will be spending the night in the city as per the Moai's instructions. Arrangements have been made to meet with the Moai Elders in the morning. For now, you are given leave to explore the city as you wish. I have transferred each of you an allowance of credits to purchase supplies or entertainment tonight.||

||Do try to have fun.||

[ooc: And they're off! Feel free to have them explore. You can also start doing open posts on-planet now, if you want. Have fun!]

7th-Feb-2011 05:31 pm - Till Death (or Liftoff) Do Us Part
Once Domalai made sure the crew was fully informed of what was expected of them in the upcoming rituals, he showed them over to where the Rituals of Judgement and Joining would be performed.

As they neared the gate that led into the city of Orongo, they could see many other people milling about, waiting for their turn to undergo the rituals themselves. The crew, of course, being a special case, are moved to the front of the line. Thankfully, everyone seems to be in a good enough mood that no one puts up a fuss about it.

The first area they were brought to had a simple stone circle, around which were three smaller circles. Two Moai priests were waiting there as they approached, and Domalai moved over to join them before speaking up.

[ooc: wait for subthreads to go up]

11th-Jan-2011 09:14 pm - Cascade [Open party time!]
Billy had just launched another portal in that maze of mazes, exhaustion setting in. Surely this time he would land on another moving platform of death?

Nope, just the exterior of the finished bathhouses. All polished, systems running, and just about ready to open! Given how sore and exhausted he was, that sounded like an excellent idea at the moment.

With a quick message to the rest of the crew, he set out the 'Open' sign for the first time and took advantage of his owner status---the prime waterfall spot could be his!

((ooc: The bathhouses are now open! Feel free to mingle around, relax, and have a party. Or cause trouble, but that might invite more trouble. Just start a subthread with your character's location and have fun. For reference there are individual showers in front, followed by hot tubs centrally located, saunas further back, and private baths along the side. The showers, tubs, and saunas have smaller sex-segregated units along with a central group unit that's larger.))

10th-Jan-2011 12:01 pm - Don't Play That Song [Open]
Sofia had gone to one of the Sensorium rooms to try out several ideas for prom. She still needed to call everyone together to organize the event, but she wanted to try things out by herself just so she'd have an idea.

She'd all ready gone through several versions with different themes. From elaborate and intricately decorated ballrooms to simpler ideas. Right now she was done to the bare bones of the room, clearing it before going to the next idea. There some tables in the corner, a buffet (with no food at the moment), and balloons scattered around the place.

Sofia looked around, her expression blank at first but then hardening. The air around her swirled, picking up speed until it could be heard. And then she lashed out. The balloons were tossed around, soon joined by the tables and chairs, and then the buffet itself. There were loud popping sounds as the balloons collided against the chairs and tables. Then the wind ripped the furniture apart. The storm didn't stop until everything was ripped into pieces. Sofia let it all fall to the ground. She stood in the middle of the wreckage. Silent.

Alone again.
[OOC: This is for Hiccup and Miku but if your character needs to have a demonstration of what prom is like rather than having it be explained they can show up. Just try to give me a poke beforehand to let me know.]

Sofia had readied the Sensorium. She had Stacy bring up a dance hall, complete with balloon decorations, refreshments, and a band. There were all ready people on the dance floor, dressed for prom. Now she just waited outside so she could wave Hiccup and Miku over.

She was all ready swaying to the music, even though she wasn't dressed for it. It was hard to resist, at least for someone like her. Any excuse to dance was welcome.
28th-Oct-2010 08:38 pm - Halloween Party
Who knows why the ship was doing this. Maybe it was some kind of social experiment. Maybe Stacy was feeling festive and somewhere, out there, it was Halloween. Maybe the players just wanted to have Halloween fun. No one would ever know, would they.

In any case, what better place for a Halloween dance than a graveyard? In an area in the center, clear of headstones, there was a dance floor, and there were seats and tables with skeletal frames. Somehow grisly carved torches and jack-o-lanterns of varying sizes and shapes, cast enough eerie light to light up the place, despite the fact it was night. There were places to bob for apples, popcorn balls on strings strung up for people to try to eat for games involving that. The food tables will full of Halloweeny snacks and candy.

Far off, there was a haunted house, decrepit and foreboding. It seemed people could look into it if they dared sent down the dark trail to where it was. [ooc: Haunted house post link forthcoming].

Creepy--but danceable music was playing, from nowhere.

Perhaps most notable was the fact that the moment someone entered the Sensorium, they would find themselves in a costume. Sometimes these costumes would be what the character themselves would choose, but sometimes they'd be dressed as something strange, embarrassing, or just something they wouldn't even recognize. Leaving and coming back wouldn't fix the problem, in most cases. The costumes wouldn't change, and if they did, it wasn't guaranteed that they'd change to something better.

Whatever the case, party hard, Meatship. Somebody's got to teach the Vikings, draconians, aliens, and other sundry people to Thriller dance.
cityship: (Meanwhile...)
It was the night of the ball, and Nanashi was in high spirits. She had recreated her castle in it's entirety, though it was devoid of residents. Instead there were several servants, half of them vampires and the other half human. Some of them had the sole purpose of escorting the arriving guests into a sort of small cocktail room. The walls were lined with tables with various dishes- and room for the guests to think up more if they so desired- and plenty of drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Once some people arrived, the double doors were opened to reveal the Grand Hall.

The hall itself was spectacular, rising several stories high with silk tapestries depicting dragons and legendary battles decorating the walls. Every so often along the wall one could find a sculpture, many of them busts of apparently famous people from long ago, others showed more dragons, while some were full-sized and somewhat resembled the great statues of Greece.  Paintings both in oils and in inks could also be found where there were no tapestries. There were large oak tables with intricately carved legs and borders so it almost seemed as if the carved leaves had grown naturally. The tables were, like the ones earlier, covered in finger foods and drinks, while smaller tables were off to the side with more servants standing at wait where one could sit and be served a meal if they so wished. The room was softly lit by a great multitude of blue-flamed candles lining the walls and hanging from crystal and stone chandeliers above. A full orchestra played behind a partition, though clearly it was just a formality, as they somehow played some of the music she heard while wandering Zokez II as well. Another servant sat by the partition and was taking song requests. Above them was a balcony with a staircase that sloped down in such a way that the side closer to the hall curved away from the wall.

Normally, Nanashi would enter from the balcony, but she instead slipped in among the guests, wearing  a white dress with the hem just brushing the ground and a pair of angel wings that looked a lot more realistic with the help of the sensoriums than they would look in her world. She also wore a silver mask to match her wings and dress.

Above even the balcony there was a giant clock that quietly ticked away the minutes. A chime would sound when the hands struck midnight, but hopefully no one would be losing a glass slipper tonight.
11th-Sep-2010 11:25 pm - We Need To Talk [Closed]
Julian almost never visited Hydroponics. He'd stop in every now and again, mostly to pick a few bottles from the beer tree, but never for an extended stay. He wasn't much of a nature lover, and its not as if the air there was any less recycled than anywhere else on the ship.

Still, he chose this place to talk to Sofia. And they needed to talk. At some point, they were going to have to make sense of this relationship of theirs.

At least Hydroponics was a relatively relaxed environment, it was visited by so few people that they could talk quietly in private, but public enough that they'd have to think twice before doing anything other than talking. Unless they got creative. Which caused him to take a second look around while he waited for Sofia.

Julian tiredly groaned in pain, as the throbbing in his head started to wake him up. He wasn't sure what happened last night, but it obviously involved having a couple too many drinks. He rolled over and--

He opened one eye and squinted at the person next to him.

Oh... oooooooh.

So. That's what he did last night. Hopefully this won't be awkward.

28th-Jul-2010 08:50 pm - Master of the Pielements [open]
The Person: Aang, the Avatar, master of all four elements, truly an individual to be reckoned with.

The Place: The Lounge. Right now, he was in the kitchen practicing his Airbending via the highly deadly art of--

Making fruit pies. What? It took some very precise Airbending to get the fruit fluff all fluffy on top. Good practice.

And eating the fruits of his labor was, uh...exercise for his jaw, yeah. And stomach.

Okay, so he was just hankering for cake after all that time with GLaDoS. It was still good Airbending practice, though.

And he brought the rest out to be served to whoever had a hankering for confectioneries.

"Hey, do you want a piece of fruit pie?"

Come and let me bake you the pie of my people.
27th-Jul-2010 11:46 pm - PARTY ON!
Hisk is throwing a party in the Drunken Dragon.

She just hasn't told Kang about it.

It's a general purpose party for the election, for winners and losers (and voters!) alike. EVERYONE is invited! There's beer and real food for all, what more could you ask for?

(OOC: If your character wants to help waiting on people/cooking/what have you, go for it. :D And this is a mingle post so feel free to thread about!)
13th-Jul-2010 11:46 pm - Cue The Spice Girls' song...
Laurie has done everything possible to make tonight Girls Night-riffic, with a bowl of popcorn, blankets, and the yellow pajammas she'd bought on shore leave, complete with little bunny slippers that smile cheerfully up at her, and her blonde hair in low pigtails. Despite how childish it is, it bringsLaurie a semblance of comfort.

Spot has long taken her sunflower-patterned blanket and made it into his little nest to curl up, and drift off to sleep in. Of course, he won't continue to lightly snooze for long. Sofia would show up any minute...and dogs do love to bark at new people.

Fluffing the strange meat-things pillows, she tries to imagine what movie it is that Sofia has picked out for tonight. Hopefully, she hasn't decided to exnay on the romantic movies-ay, since romantic movies are Laurie's favorite, despite how eye-roll inducing they are. Yes, she cried when Lianorda DiCaprio died in Titantic. Didn't everybody?

"OK!" she claps her hands together and appraises the room with a quick eye, then looking to the half-dozing Spot who had rolled over onto his belly, kicking his little paws in the air, in the middle of a good dream that probably concerned chasing alien squirells up trees.

Everything look good from where she's standing...
1st-Jul-2010 12:25 pm - Wheelchair Blues [Open]
Ben was in a mood.

he was also periodically shaking but quelled it as he rolled around his haunt, the Mr. Smoothie in the middle of the city district. He hadn't driven there, but instead rolled to it sullenly, needing to get away after being released to the public. In his lap he had carried ingredients and had used the facilities to make himself a strawberry and avocado smoothie. The actions was more or less a cleansing thing for him, and the long roll down to the city was enough time to allow him to think.

"You really blew it this time Tennyson," he grumbled to himself as he sucked on the drink.

So that was the Ohm invasion first hand. They had done well, in his opinion for such a rushed job even if they had lost. Yeah, it was a loss, but they'd learn from it. He just hoped everyone else would think of it as a learning experience.

Ben was a big fan of learning from your mistakes, something that had been drilled into him since his irresponsible days as a ten year old playing with alien tech.

Raising his glass to the artificial sun, he toasted the sky. "Here's to you everyone. Hope the next time we meet the Ohm, we'll be ready for it."

Ben sucked on his smoothie, feeling just a little better.
20th-Jun-2010 06:20 pm - Red Alert
Morale was high, and everyone had their share of fun, but now it was time to part ways with Zokez II.

As everyone made their way back to the spaceport to be picked up, they could see the Obs Deck waiting for them with ramp open, and large tendrils eagerly moving vehicles and cargo back aboard.

It's about time to say goodbye to this planet...but fate, it seems, has other ideas.

[OOC: PLOT BEGINS! Here's how it goes: A handful of techies and a couple fighty people (as escort) will be on the reactor end of this part of the plot, while everyone else can help out with the evacuation.]

[OOC pt 2: Also, sorry, it apparently wasn't clear that they hadn't actually gotten back onto the ship yet. Plot is obviously taking place on the planet.]

14th-Jun-2010 07:03 pm - BEACH BAD, BEACH BAD [OPEN]
To say Vader was out of his element was the understatement of the millennium. He'd taken refuge under a large umbrella and was seated in his his chair as though it were the Emperor's own throne. Under the pretense of meditating, he was keeping a three-foot radius of space around him sand-free.

His beach towel would stay immaculate until he got someone else's blood on it.
