4th-Apr-2012 04:41 pm - Meet and Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicomms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicomm. New crewmates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that), a large afro attached to a smaller girl, and talking ponies among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in. But thankfully this time, there's a system that was set up to aid the new crew members with a few more experienced ones.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. Big brother/sister, there will be a thread for you as well!]

4th-Apr-2012 04:39 pm - Podpop
[Instructions: Post your character with one post establishing them as being podpopped. Tag each other in groups of 2's, 3's, and 4's, to get some interaction to start with. If a thread doesn't already have 2 or 3 people tagged in, tag it with your character's podpop popping near the other people, rather than making a new subthread. If you would like to play out them talking to the AI, please send an email to the mods making the request--we do this only by request. Then move onto the big Newbie Meeting. Once your character has gotten the rundown from the old crew, you may start posting entrance posts and freely tagging.]

||Pod Release Protocols Initating|| Stacy's familiar voice sounds out to all the podmates through the ship.

In the Pod Caverns, there are the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.

There is condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slide out onto the floors, covered in slime.

15th-Jul-2011 06:13 pm - [open]
Jade was pretty sure that hydroponics was her favorite spot on the ship. There were weird animals, but... in a way, it reminded her of her island! Kinda, at least. She loved all of the plants she saw. At the moment, she was taking a break from wandering through the area and sitting on the grass, taking in the sights and sounds of the animals around her. It seemed like it might be a good place to sleep, too-- the grass was comfortable, just like the grass back home had been, and she was more than happy to relax on the grass. If she closed her eyes, she could imagine that she was back on the island and that she'd have a chance to talk to her friends through pesterchum like always.

She was pretty tired-- she had spent a lot of time searching the ship in an attempt to find Dave or the trolls in case they hadn't seen her message, but... no luck. It made her a little sad! And that's why she had gone to hydroponics. It gave her a chance to relax for a little while, and because of how tired she was, she fell asleep pretty quickly.

She hadn't meant to - there was still a lot to explore - but she couldn't help it. And when she had fallen asleep, she hadn't realized that she had fallen asleep on what was a commonly walked path through the area.
12th-Jul-2011 06:00 pm - Cleaning Up. [open]
It had been a while since Hoshi first discovered the beystadium here on Stacy and she knew it had to be cleaned out of all the things strewn about inside. She did want to get it at least working the way it was supposed to be so that she could begin the beyblading lessons she continually talked about since she first woke up here.

And, so, she had her hair tied up in a ponytail to keep it out of her eyes, as well as dressed in her usual white t-shirt and black shorts that she used for training. There was already a small pile of garbage outside the stadium, mostly items she deemed to be useless for the stadium itself, but it could always benefit the crew in some way, but there were trash bags from the teams' locker rooms in with the other items.

She wondered what else she could potentially find in here, since the possibilities were endless!

( OOC: Here's what the various rooms look like in the stadium:

Main Area/Stadium, hallway with a lavatory, television screen announcing which teams are up (currently turned off), the entrance, another hallway. Just ignore emo!Takao and entrance where the teams would come in.

Hoshi will also be working on repairing a few things here and there with the arena itself so that there's more electricity around than there is at the current moment. )
12th-Jul-2011 12:22 pm - Suddenly, Princess Celestia! [Open]
Celestia had lived a long life, but the past few days were the strangest she had ever experienced. She had awoken from a pod in a strange chamber, only to find herself whisked away to a strange maze soon after.

This maze had had her most concerned - as Princess of all Equestria, she had duties and responsibilities, after all. She could only hope that her sister Luna was managing on her own, and do her best to escape this maze and return to her beloved subjects.

Escape came unexpectedly though, when Celestia found herself suddenly dropped from the mess hall ceiling, where she landed on top of one of the tables with a thud, her hooves sending plates and trays and cutlery flying in all directions. Have a rather elegant pony - or perhaps a horse? - with a long horn on her forehead, graceful wings adorning her back, and a mane and tail that was a multicolour and gravity-defying sight standing on your table, diners, looking rather bewildered.

"Oh! I'm sorry. I hope I didn't ruin your meal," she said, with a chuckle. Then she looked around at her surroundings, her expression turning concerned. "Now this doesn't look at all like Equestria..."

This was going to be the sweetest party ever. As if it could be anything else, considering who was putting it on.

The Sensoriums were pretty much exactly like that one “bonny lad” –a phrase Dave was seriously thinking about incorporating into his ironic repertoire- had described. A big room that responded to thoughts…it was like he’d been handed a big blank canvas and told to make his life’s masterpiece. Like he was on the mount, about to make his sermon that would bring in his flock and lead them to the path of awesomeness.

Had to do this right.

First, it needed music. The sort that pounded straight into the brain and overrode the senses. This was some zombie shit, a memetic virus that overtook the nervous system and forced the infected into party mode, forced into a perpetual dance party activated by only the sickest beats.

Dave took a moment to wonder if this thing was taking him literally, and then decided that it didn’t really matter.

Now it needed lights, but not just any lights. All the lights. There were going to be strobes and laser light shows, displays and…hell, why not throw in a giant LCD display on one entire wall? Why the hell not?

A giant LCD screen playing Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff-themed stuff. Hell yes.

Again, Dave spared a half-second to think about things. He wondered if this would be the first rave that ever needed seizure paramedics right out of the gate. And then decided in the other half to leave that up to the ship. It probably could summon medics or whatever it did without his help. Really, Dave thought, he ought to just quit worrying about all this stuff. It was like time travel, in that way. Just roll with it.

Still, he might as well make sure that there were provisions. Water and energy drinks, candy and granola bars. Something to keep dancers going until they finally collapsed. Glowsticks for those into that kind of stuff.

All that was left was to change into something more suitable for a rave. The Puppet Tux, he figured, should be a nice ironic counterpart to the causal nature of a rave. Undeniably cool, not too dressy, but just dressy enough to hold a superior air of cool over those who'd come in. This shit was like fine wine, and Dave was the snooty villa owner to guide party-goers through it.

Time to get this party started. Dave snapped his fingers, he music started up. Perfect.
