Somewhere in the hallways, a chute opened up in the wall, and unceremoniously deposited Clark Kent flat on his back before promptly closing up.

Clark picked himself up, rubbing the back of his neck out of reflex rather than any sort of pain.

"Y'know, ONE of these days someone's not gonna take so kindly to you lying about that cake GlaDOS." he said, glaring at the spot the exit had disappeared from.

Time didn't stop. It didn't stop for grievers, and it wasn't going to stop now. But finding herself at the Daily Planet building in the City was unexpected. She felt a little weird as she pushed to door open. The lobby was empty and darkened, Tana was fairly sure the elevator was out, so she took the flights of emergency stairs up to the floor she recalled her interview had been in.

"A bake sale. I'm glad I didn't take up the job," Tana almost smiled, ignoring the pang in her chest of only slightly better, considerably less adventurous times. "But here I am anyway, right?" Someone had been up here recently, but there was still a fine layer of dust across desks. Typewriters and computers had gone still in the absence of their users.

To be fair, it was a little creepy. Sitting down at a desk to soothe her tired legs, Tana looked around and thumbed her lip. "Alright, Moon. There's a reason we're up here, and it's not just to talk to myself."

She picked up a discarded pencil and tested the edge. It seemed sturdy enough, and once she found a bit of paper, the former KONA-TV reporter started writing.

It's The Final Countdown

This was it. Endgame. The crux of the battle, the turning point, those crucial moments that would decide if the crew won or lost, that would decide if the Ohm would reign victorious or go running with their chitinous tails between their legs.

Did the crew have enough grit to win? Could they defeat a full Ohm fighting force?

With the flagging confidence of the GIA forces, it'd be up to the crew to turn the tide.

And one of the crew would pay the ultimate price to make sure the others walked away alive.

Lirath - Space Battle

NPCS: Everyone

The battlefield in the space above Lirath was a tumultuous mess. being both inviting targets for barrage in and of themselves, and also forcing the GIA ships to stay in close to protect them instead of allowing for more maneuvering room. The ice ring around Lirath had been blasted apart, resulting in giant chunks of ice drifting through fire- and sight-lines, providing opportunities for both cover and ambush as well as destruction for the dog-fighting ships weaving in and out of their treacherous paths. The wreckage of GIA and Ohm ships made movement through the battlefield downright hazardous -- who knew if there were still live weapons aboard any of them, just waiting to be tripped by an unwary pilot? The gravitational forces of the nearby planet Kehoe were an unwelcome addition to an already chaotic battlefield, making navigation difficult.

Ohm shrikes strafed the bare handful of GIA capital ships present, causing soundless explosions in the vacuum of space and killing who-knew-how-many allies of Transmigration 9's crew in the process.The GIA fighters seemed barely able to dent the massive Ohm Leviathans that brooded over the planet like bloated, predatory spiders, and those that were still flying were massively damaged, hulls scorched by plasma fire, some barely held together with parts of them vented into space. In some places there were things that looked like clouds of specks-- groups of dead GIA crewman, lost to the void.

Before long, new Ohm bioforms would enter the fray, ones created to compensate for the ship's mecha.

In this scattered and scorched battleground, Starfighter Command would have to fight Ohm ships side by side with the exhausted forces of the GIA, braving massive chunks of ice, wreckage, and of course, the seemingly never-ending forces of the Ohm.

And the tide of battle was already turned against them.

Bendy-timed to before clone plot

While Clark counted himself lucky that his Earth, at least at this point, had no supervillains, there was a minor downside to living in a world without a Luthor. Namely, Clark didn't even have an educated guess as to what his limits were. Something, as it became more and more obvious he was here for the long haul, he should probably figure out.

"More." He said, calling to the sensorium to add even more weight to the already massive object he was currently lifting. He was starting to feel some strain, but not enough to quit.

The Toy That Would Not Die [Open, Silliness]

"Wee-tah-kah-loo-loo..."

Howard was too young to catch the Furby craze in 1999, but he sure knows about them from Youtube videos of them being used in prank calls. What he didn't realize was that the off-switch was either impossible to find or non-existent. So it was with mild curiosity and, as is turns out, crushing naivete that he picked it up out of the box of toys in the Med Bay and gave it a shake. He has never regretted a decision so much in his life.

"I love you...doo?"

"Oh God, would you just shut up?"

"Wee-tah-kah-wee-loo..."

"That isn't shutting up! Please shut up!"

"Doo-dah!" the Furby cries as it's thrown against the nearest wall.

Anyone who walks into the Med Bay right now will find a very frazzled teenager looking for a hammer to free him from the piece of fuzzy Tiger Electronics that has been tormenting him for the last hour.

Sandy liked it in the city.

With everything so closed and cramped in the halls and the different areas of the ship nothing felt quite as open and free to her as running through the city.

It seemed to go on forever, and if she wasn't careful she'd find herself lost for who knows how long.

She had figured out a way past that though, between chalk and paint she had picked up on the last planet she was sure she could leave markers in places that would help her find her way back.

And so she traveled, running and jumping, up stairs and jumping from roof to roof or back down through the streets and buildings.

A real Quandry [ Open ]

Jaime had taken the time to wander down into the city, something he did most days as spending a lot of time in a conjured world in the over-crowded Sensoriums didn't really appeal to him. He found himself drawn, at least today, to the Statuary and its baffling array of sculpture and monuments. Fascinating stuff, really. He stood at the base of Superboy's statue, occasionally flicking the switch back and forth.

Nope.

Nothing happening there. He frowned and wrinkled his nose, turning to look over the other statues before moving on to flick at the switch beneath Elfangor.

Still nothing. He moved over again, this time to George Washington. Another futile flickering of the switch.

What did this all mean? And more importantly, what did these switches do?

Melting Clock: Quarantine

After Sam Henderson's announcement, the Contagion Containment and Treatment lab was going to get busy. Anyone suspected of being affected by the mysterious affliction would be brought here, and put into one of the large bubbles that would keep any potential contagious diseases in - and the patients themselves. Once in inside, they wouldn't be able to get out again until the Medical staff had cleared them.

And before they could do that, they needed to find out what was causing this - and why.

They had a lot of hard work ahead of them.

The Change [open]

Neither Rachel nor Marco had any real trust in the medical situation they'd both been forced into. It seemed like they had been tricked and betrayed; and it meant that there were instantly a few more people crossed off their list of who they should trust when they escaped. In fact-- it left them at each other, it seemed, when they did escape from medical, two cockroaches slipping out of sight while medical was distracted from them.

Of course, this was compounded by the fact that several communications posts went up shortly after-- one announcing a Quarantine (thankfully they'd gotten out in time for that) and one announcing their abilities to the crew to warn them. And then things got worse-- Marco's morphing began to get weird, and Rachel... literally split into two.

This wasn't going well.

((ooc: As Blue's OOC post said, we need to make sure that only the people signed up for taking the two 'groups' (Nice Rachel and Marco in one corner, just Mean Rachel in the other) to Quarantine are the ones who actually do that. Clark still needed to think. The world had basically collapsed around him. The Superman family was here and he really had no idea how to react to that. Thousands of thoughts flitted through his head, and, as he had still not found his typewriter and was understandable nervous about putting all his thoughts into the omnicomm, he only had one option. The only thing that could provide enough clarity of mind for him to sort through his thoughts was flying.

Walking down to the city, the Superman-powered non-Kryptonian took a brief look around to see if anyone else was watching, before leaping into the air and taking flight. He looped and twirled a bit, doing aerial maneuvers any hotshot pilot would give his left arm to be able to perform. Stress-relief completed, his mind turned to the subject matter at hand.

Unfortunately, him being preoccupied with his thoughts left him much more open to being discovered than he'd normally want...

Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

There is condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slide out onto the floors, covered in slime.

And who, disguised as... [Open]

There was probably one thing Superman enjoyed and that was returning home every once and awhile. The simple life in Smallville was a great thing to cherish and returning to the Kent farm was something to look forward to.

Even if getting there was as simple as flying in the blink of an eye.

Today was different. This time, getting there was as simple as walking into the Sensoriums. He still couldn't find the farm in the City, but he hoped that it was still there in some capacity. For the moment, though, he opted for the Sensoriums, able to enjoy what he could while he recovered from his injuries he sustained from the Ohm attack.

However, if one were to come in and see him in there, they wouldn't find a man in red and blue, yet a simple, somewhat normal man wearing glasses and regular clothing over his plant suit.

It had been ages since he had just been Clark Kent. It was time to be that way again, even if it didn't matter.
