Bendy-timed to before clone plot
While Clark counted himself lucky that his Earth, at least at this point, had no supervillains, there was a minor downside to living in a world without a Luthor. Namely, Clark didn't even have an educated guess as to what his limits were. Something, as it became more and more obvious he was here for the long haul, he should probably figure out.
"More." He said, calling to the sensorium to add even more weight to the already massive object he was currently lifting. He was starting to feel some strain, but not enough to quit.

"As in... you know..."
Was this a version that was a young Kal?
"From Kansas, Clark Kent?"

"If...you're not the Clark I'm thinking of, how do you know which Clark I'm thinking of?"
no subject
Which was, well, exactly like Superboy Prime, although Clark had no idea who that was.

Was it him? He wasn't sure because this guy was a little younger and looked a tiny bit different, but that could've been age.
This could be Prime, before...before everything. Spouting off all his crazy crap about them being comics and knowing their lives...

Could it change things? Knowing now?
Then again, how could he know this was the same Superboy for sure?
"I don't know if I should even tell you this, and...I'm not sure if you're him. I don't know. If you are, maybe it's better you know when you're less...crazy. But we--we had this enemy, Superboy Prime, who totally freaked the hell out on us and he came from a world that was destroyed that had us all as comic books or something--he was always spouting weird crap in battle."
He gestured to Clark.
"Thing is, you lost your world like the rest of us and you're not flipping out over it. So if you're a younger him, why not? Or it means you aren't. Or..."
He was confused.

"Look" he said, sighing, "I don't think I'm this Superboy Prime guy you're talking about. If only because of that fact that if I do end up deciding to put on tights and fly around helping people? I'm fairly sure I won't call myself Superboy."

"If you don't read about us, you can't be him. He knew like everything about our lives. It was creepy. So...so you're just...another dude from a world that has us with comics in it, you're named after... and you have powers? Where'd you get the powers? Natural-born meta, homo magi, what?"

It was the way his world was. Powers were part of it, metas, aliens, half-aliens like him. The concept of other worlds not being that way naturally was sometimes hard to grok.

Wow.
"At least tell me you don't have a ton of supervillains yet because it'd suck facing them all alone."

Interesting.
"What else can you do besides the superstrength? Can you fly?"
no subject
no subject
Interesting. Very very interesting.
"So somehow, you got named after Superman, randomly developed powers, and now you're not just a meta, you're a super."

Yes, Clark, Superboy just adopted you. "We could show you how to use your powers better. And that whole truth, justice, and apple pie thing, if you're into that."

He nudged Clark's shoulder in a friendly fashion.
"I'll tell Kal about you and we can get you trained up in no time."
He shrugged.
"You shouldn't have had to spend so much time on your own in the first place."
