The Change [open]
Neither Rachel nor Marco had any real trust in the medical situation they'd both been forced into. It seemed like they had been tricked and betrayed; and it meant that there were instantly a few more people crossed off their list of who they should trust when they escaped. In fact-- it left them at each other, it seemed, when they did escape from medical, two cockroaches slipping out of sight while medical was distracted from them.
Of course, this was compounded by the fact that several communications posts went up shortly after-- one announcing a Quarantine (thankfully they'd gotten out in time for that) and one announcing their abilities to the crew to warn them. And then things got worse-- Marco's morphing began to get weird, and Rachel... literally split into two.
This wasn't going well.
((ooc: As Blue's OOC post said, we need to make sure that only the people signed up for taking the two 'groups' (Nice Rachel and Marco in one corner, just Mean Rachel in the other) to Quarantine are the ones who actually do that. Other than that, feel free to try and do it! Tag under the header for whoever you want to thread with and feel free set the scene, and ours will enter in. :) ))

Marco + Nice Rachel + Mean Rachel [closed]
Re: Marco + Nice Rachel + Mean Rachel [closed]
What the hell was happening? One minute Rachel was her usual self, the the next minute there was two of her. Except this time, he was pretty sure she hadn't been anywhere near morphing starfish.
"Okay, time to go, let's morph!" he'd said quickly to Nice Rachel, grabbing her hand and trying to move in any direction that was the opposite to Mean Rachel's. He remembered all to well what had happened the last time this had happened (he'd never though he'd have to go through this again), and he knew it wasn't going to be good. Especially since, you know, Mean Rachel had tried to kill him and all.
He started morphing osprey, but instead of the feathers he expected to sprout from he skin it started turning grey, and leathery. His face morphed out into some strange and bizarre kind of huge horned beak, so large and heavy that he couldn't hold his head up.
What the hell was happening?! What was wrong with him?! Why had he morphed into some strange osprey/rhino combination, and not just the osprey like he'd meant to?
He tried to flap his wings, but all he had was the gray leathery skin covering a vague approximation of a wing-shaped appendage, and he felt himself begin to panic.
This shouldn't be happening!
Re: Marco + Nice Rachel + Mean Rachel [closed]
Meanwhile, the other Rachel was reacting much differently. Naturally. "What the hell are you doing?!" Rachel yelled, volume nearly matching that of the screams of her counterpart. What the fuck was Marco's problem?! He was freaking out and doing weird morphs-- she bristled, wondering what his issue was.
Re: Marco + Nice Rachel + Mean Rachel [closed]
The freakish morph disappeared, and Marco was left human, gasping for air, and trying to figure out what the hell had gone wrong.

"Marco!"
But another person he was friendly with that was acting weird, and that meant he had to take the time to try to help.
"Marco, wait, let me talk to you a minute."

Visser One was on board and being protected by Kang, the whole crew knew about their morphing and thought they had some kind of memory problem, and when he'd tried to morph it had just gone wrong.
And underneath it all was just this...niggling worry that he hadn't even thought of since before he'd woken up. He just kept thinking of the fct that back home, his dad had been wanting to marry Nora. And fuck, what the hell would happen when he woke up? Would he be married to her? What was Mom going to think, if he ever even managed to get her free?
What he didn't need though, was someone finding them. He couldn't trust anybody, not when the crew all though they needed to be Quarantined. Even if the fact that Rachel had split into two again and he couldn't even morph properly anymore had given him the unsettling feeling that something was wrong with them.
He swore and grabbed Nice Rachel's arm, trying to drag her into another corridor and slip away from Aang.

"What's wrong?" Rachel asked, voice earnest. "Maybe he's, like, trying to help?"

Up ahead, he heard a strangled yelping noise and the sound of a human running over the cobblestones up ahead. He also caught the briefest glimpses of long blond hair. He repressed the urge to call out her name in thought-speak and instead just gave chase. Andalites were faster than humans, after all.

Re: Marco + Nice Rachel
Of course, that doesn't help him one bit when he rounds a corner and nearly runs into the rather human Marco and Rachel, but he's quick enough to shift gears. They probably don't want to actually go back to Medbay, and likely would fight someone who tried - at least at first. If he plays dumb, though, maybe he can calm them down enough so they'd be willing to listen to reason.
"There ye are. Look, what's going on? Kang's sent out some daft-sounding message about the two of ye."
Re: Marco + Nice Rachel
That didn't mean he wasn't going to try, though. Marco's eyes darted around for a moment, looking around to try and see if he could spot anyone trying to back Jamie up. Damn, he really missed the ability to morph properly right now...
"Kang's full of shit," he said to Jamie, watching him warily now.

When Animals Attack [Random Encounter]
Not to mention the possibility of gaining more. She wondered how willing they'd be to do as much with people, remembering Marco's reaction to her henging him in the sensoriums. If that'd been a show of it's own, they had the potential to choose to be anyone. If it wasn't, then it was more likely they'd stick to animal forms.
On a ship roughly the size of a moon. This was sounding better and better all the time.
She rounded the corner, wishing that she had some kind of sense for what Rachel herself felt like, like she did with Marco. She wasn't a sensor-type, so it would be useless for tracking, but at least then she'd be able to recognize her in close proximity.

Re: Mean Rachel [open]
Hiccup happened to be looking for Zuko just like Aang was, with plans to grab Kang or a Security member once he found him.
Screw risk of infection, this was his... well, he was his best friend. His best human one, at any rate. He'd already been near him so if he wasn't infected now, he wasn't going to be.
Ergo, he was looking for him, running around hallways and planning to peg down his location to send to the medical staff and security.

"Scuse' me. Need to get through here."
Re: Mean Rachel [open]
"Who the hell are you?" she snapped, instead of moving away or making any effort to accommodate him. Why the hell should she move for him? Was he trying to piss her off, and make things difficult for her?"

A Different Kind of Morphing [Group Encounter]
Re: A Different Kind of Morphing [Group Encounter]
Having taken the form of her grizzly bear a little while ago (but she was pretty sure she had enough time to morph out still) she was prowling around, growling at anything that she caught moving in her dim bear vision. She was not backing down.
