The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

That was putting it mildly.

Kaya was here, making sure she was dressed as she could, but had made a beeline straight for weapons and possessions, getting into some water tribe garb just so she could feel more like herself , and so if her friends were checking this pod pop, they would recognize her more easily. The girl in the water tribe guard would definitely be hard to miss. There was definitely a look of concentration here: Kaya was still gathering all those memories, of back then and on this ship. The Outsiders! Were they still all right? Were her friends ok?

Was Aang still here? They couldn’t have taken him away again, not for a third time. What about Sokka, her “not” brother now? What would they think, staring into the eyes of someone that would be nothing but a stranger to them? She was pretty sure they all were

It was a hard pill to swallow so soon. But at least, Aang could be spared the pain of all that happened between them. Even thinking about it now, the pain she caused her friend, her Sensei in some way, it hurt her deeply. Now he would have to wait for Katara, but once she came he would be happy again. She had always wanted that for him.

It just felt wrong to be doing all of this again, only now with her true memories. Everything seemed to be happening at once, and she just needed time to take all of this in. Right now though, she wanted to make sure her friends were all still here.

Well. This was certainly a slightly revolting development. True, he was clean, had his weapons (and oh, there were a lot of weapons), and clothing of a sort, but now he was hanging about this strange 'ship' as it were, surrounded by all sorts. And that voice in his head had been blabbing about a 'purpose' of some sort, refused to answer any questions. Maybe someone here was in charge.

Worst of all he thought the walls might be breathing. He drifted through the crowd, keeping an eye out for even a vaguely familiar face.

Ter'thelas found himself under a vicious, unexpected attack. He might have even heard the slight clank and clatter of armor and weapons before two plate-clad, decomposing arms wrapped around him in what could best be described as a bear-hug.

Karis hadn't been able to believe her eyes - of all the elves in all the world, Ter had shown up. Today was a good day.

"Ter! Shadow, is it good to see you!"

Ter now had a grinning zombie hanging off of him.

"I've seen bigger crowds at the Orgrimmar Auction House," Maridian said, surveying the gathering masses with a frown. Clearly there were other people from Azeroth here, though... and if all his time in Org, Dal, and Shat had taught him anything, it was that if you wanted to make yourself known... you /yelled.

So the paladin drew Quel'delar #37, held the (supposedly legendary but nevertheless carried by everyone and his brother) blade high, and inhaled.

"You know, there are more of us here than just the Horde," a voice from behind said, dry in its accented tone.

For all of that, the Draenei didn't seem to be making any more threatening moves, but...

"We also consider Stacy a sanctuary, just so you know." That probably explained why she wasn't trying to mace him in the face. "I am Farseer Alastirra of Telaar. And you are?"

Lion-O was getting used to his new plantsuit. it took a while to get comfortable with the way it felt against his fur, but otherwise it was a good fit.

"In all my adventures on Third Earth and New Thundera, I've never seen a place as odd as this. This whole place is alive. I'd say it was like a beehive, but it's ever stranger than that."

It was about now that Lion-O began to worry about where his Sword of Omens was. He hoped that it hadn't been stolen by some evil force.

"It takes a bit of practice to get used to," came a voice from nearby. In the crowd, moving about between the others was a blonde woman. Unlike the others, however, she didn't seem to be a solid entity.

"Hello," Dhianeila greeted with a bow of her head. "I'm sure you have many questions. Please allow me to offer any help that I can."

Ok, Hilde was dressed and now she was on the hunt for one specific person. She frowned a bit as she looked around the large room. It was hard to tell what was going on here and it was a lot to take in. She'd talk to Duo about it later.

Speaking of Duo...she was yelling his name at the top of her lungs.

"DUO! DUOOO! DUO MAXWELL!" And she was loud. How else was she able to distract him from a scrapyard when they were on L2?

Yzak was standing silently over at the sidelines, a place he thought best to stand to get a clearer view of those coming out of the chambers. Arms crossed over his chest, he tapped a foot impatiently, even though somehow in the pit of his stomach he knew that impatience wouldn't be relieved. He looked pretty pissed off (which might have been hard to decipher, considering Yzak's default expression wasn't exactly a smile), but somewhat disappointed as well. It was one thing when one friend went missing, potentially repodded unless they were running around inside of GLaDOS. But two?

As much as he hated it, it was also too familiar a feeling. Dearka and Athrun missing ... he almost felt like a red-coat again, stuck on a ship with no power to do anything about it but accept that it happened.

The screaming broke him from his thoughts, and he looked up in the immediate direction of the one screaming. "Did she just..." Oh boy, Yzak thought. Losing his comrades and gaining somebody just as loud as the braided pilot. Pushing himself from the wall, he walked over to Hilde.

"Hey!" he called out between a yell.

Ildraniath felt slightly more at ease, now that her spiritstone was in its proper place again, along with her runestones and weapons. And clothing, if you could call it that. The small runes floated around her in an intricate, never-ending dance. When she needed them, she would have them. Her sharp eyes took in the room - so many mon-keigh, with a scattering of other races and peoples she did not recognize. How distressing. If this Stacy had chosen for a great purpose, it had not chosen particularly wisely. Mon-keigh were brutal, primitive and easily manipulated. Tools to be used toward an end.

On second thought, maybe this Stacy knew exactly what she was doing.

Zouichi was here looking for anyone he recognized, but something about Ildraniath stood out among the other releasees milling about in the room. Maybe it was the expression on her face, or maybe it was the runes floating about in the air around her. Another magic type? At any rate, he approached her, raising a hand in greeting.

"Hello," he said. "I would welcome you to the ship, but it would be a rather poor one, considering the circumstances."

It was time for Yuna to compose herself. This new plant costume would never suit her, but at least she'd obtained her earring, necklace, and staff. She had looked for signs of her friends: a doll, a Blitzball, a sword...but none appeared. It seemed she would be facing this new reality alone.

So this was a ship that had taken them aboard. Spira was far away and possibly destroyed. The thought tore at her heart, but she had to smile for everyone. These people from other worlds that she was called to help...they were just like Spirans, weren't they? Families broken by senseless destruction that was so difficult to stop.

Champions of life against the Ohm, destroyers of worlds...

She would find out what this twist of fate meant and decide what to do. First, what happened to Spira. Then, what to do from here. Could she fight it? Were her guardians alive? Did he survive? Yuna's thoughts pushed her whirling uncertainty back, urging her to politely wait for more information.

"Hello," she greeted whoever looked willing to listen to her, folding her hands and bowing. "I am Yuna, a summoner from the isle of Besaid."

Ruffnut stopped short. She wasn't usually one for socializing but...there was always that hope that he might have woken up this time.

"Oh uh...yo?" She turned to face the woman who had talked "I'm Ruffnut, Viking from the isle of Birk." She felt a little awkward but what the hell? She was new once too.

Sabrina had arrived very quickly to the Obs Deck, and boy did she have questions. Questions she had hoped that could be answered. She didn't have her Pokemon with her at the moment, but that could wait for the time being. Sabrina had no experience socializing with others, but she knew she had to deal with it. Wearing a living thing like her plantsuit didn't seem to bother her as did most people. She scoured the area seeing if she could sense anyone she knew without reading their minds.

While not a particularly social creature Sandy was doing better to be helpful today. Who knows? Maybe she'd meet someone fun and interesting to hang out with?

Of course he'd strolled for several moments--perhaps more--attempting to acclimatise to his new... outfit. He isn't well pleased with it, but really, he likely wouldn't be pleased with anything he couldn't choose on his own.

If someone's damaged his coat, he's going to extremely vexed.

The Doctor straggles toward the tail end of the exodus once he's gotten as accustomed as he can to this situation--though honestly, he can never take being told he's chosen for anything quite seriously, hard as he tries to--and squints toward the topmost bit of what seems to be a transport tube system.

He can't help being curious, actually, if there might be someone he actually knows up there.

As much as Jamie dislikes the fact that every other incarnation of the the Doctor he's met on Stacy seems to be taller than he is, one thing he can't deny is that it really does make it easier to spot the Time Lord from across the room. The fact that it's one that's actually familiar to him doesn't hurt matters, either.

A glad smile breaks out on Jamie's face - it may not be his Doctor, but it's still the Doctor, and he's awake again.

"Och, Alex will be thrilled," he murmurs to himself, before pushing off from the wall and threading his way through the room. It takes him a wee bit - it always does, with podpops. As large as the Obs Deck is, it's still full of people looking for other people, or meeting people they've missed terribly - and he's at least polite enough to try and give them a wide berth.

So, eventually, he makes his way over to the Doctor's side. Hooking his thumbs behind the belt that holds up his sporran, he cranes his head up, following the squinting, but he can't quite get a good look at whatever it is the Time Lord's trying to look at. Might as well ask, then.

What a joke.

All of this sounded too grand to be true. Too cliche. It was like something out of a cartoon; heroes from all walks of life band together and defeat evil threatening the universe! it's been done so many times, across so many different forms of media, that one might just roll their eyes at the thought.

And even if it was true? Mami still didn't understand why (and how) she was here. She wasn't a hero. She said it herself; she's not someone to be admired.

But she had no choice, did she? So here she stood, off to the side, away from the bustling crowd of newcomers and veterans. She was still trying to make sense of what exactly was going on right now, so she's not too keen on striking up conversation at the moment.

Asuka spotted another girl around her own age at the edge of the crowd. She generally only came to these in the ever-dimming hope that she might actually find someone from her own world had arrived. It was strange; she'd detested them (or so she told herself) when they'd been around, but being here, being alone, without any of them - it made her miss them. Even if only so she could have the comfortable familiarity of Shinji's stupidity or Misato's drunken antics. So many people she'd known were back in the pods now.

Even Arha.

She put her back to the wall next to Mami, hands tucked into the pockets of her Rogue Squadron bomber jacket. "Hey, you're new, right?"

Matt's expression was uncommonly stern for this moment, having taken a seat on a high podium with his sign propped up, blinking "Ask me questions!". On the backside it still read "Come to the Dark Side: We have Cookies". But at the same time, he was still kind of 50-50 at the moment.

Dressed in Aqua's armor, he looked like a brooding knight, albeit that he left the chestpiece to the side, since he didn't feel like getting laughed at.

Rein floated to the side, glancing and sneaking peeks at her friend as she propped up the sign with her good hand. Hopefully Kang or someone would take over or at least help.

Anwei had prepared herself as soon as she heard Stacy's message about the podpop in her head. She'd quickly eaten, and painted the sign of the Eight Wings on her cheekbone in blue: four overlapping curved lines in a cross shape. If one of the Vizsnunishne arrived, she wanted to talk with them as soon as possible.

She worked her way through the mingled people, looking for a familiar face - and this person caught her eye. The species was almost familiar, but...

"Greetings, fellow sentient," she said, palms up and forward in what was hopefully a peaceful gesture. "How can I help you?"

Fletcher was confused, but he'd adjusted quickly enough. He didn't like the idea of being repodded, but it was over and done with now, and according to Stacy it was for the best.

He had a new plantsuit, and he'd found his clothes and things in his possessions locker, so now he was here at the Meet & Greet just... because he figured that's where he should be. And maybe he could help answer questions for any confused new arrivals.

Sherry didn't like the idea of going to meet the new (or new-old) arrivals, but she was the Captain's daughter and at least had to see the new faces she'd be avoiding for the next forever.

But then she saw a familiar blond head peeking through the hips and waists of the crowd and sprinted to Fletcher. She wasn't happy to see him, exactly. But he was someone she knew. And he was back.

Azula was beginning to doubt this was a hallucination anymore.

It felt entirely too real, even as she moved past creatures that couldn't possibly be human despite speaking the language.

She was playing it smart however, keep your back to the wall. Identify the exits. Despite how everyone was simply going about her business she felt as if they were all staring. Watching. Waiting. Every smirk was because they knew she would be dead soon.

Fools. Didn't they know who they were dealing with? The girl who'd overtaken the last city in the Earth Kingdom at age 14? The first female firelord?

No...of coarse they didn't know because at the moment she looked like a messy haired beauty in a fine silk robe.

Her guard up as high as it was, woe be anyone who startle her at this point.

Mai, as usual, had come to watch the ritual of the newbies getting inducted. Same old story, again and again and again. She had found herself a wall to prop up, expression bored and placid as always. It was always the same, but it was more diverting than staring at a wall. Then she noticed a familiar figure skirting the crowd. Her eyes widened.

Oh, monkeyfeathers.

Azula. And not looking her sharpest. Mai felt for a handful of throwing knives.

Out of the snot pod, the way-too-intimate fleshsuit, the aliens, the naked people and the robot mommy voice, Archer finds the maternal warmth the most upsetting. He's never felt that before. What the hell, Mother.

After hitting up Weapons and Possessions for his trademark darker-shade-of-black $900 turtleneck, some guns and a few hidden knives, the spy lounges around the Meat and Greet, contemplating if "I'm a secret agent" will still be a usable pick-up line with elf-ladies. He's all party on the outside, relaxed and confident, bur inside he's surveying the area for danger.

Then again, get a few drinks in him or let him shoot something, and he'll probably be party on the inside, too.

Jayne had found that the podpop days were all the more enjoyable when he was a little drunk, so today accompanying him into the meeting area was a some of his favorite brew from the pub in a hand carrying keg.

...well it wasn't handy until he found a cart to drag it on. He was wandering about now, favorite mug in hand sipping the hair curlingly strong brew and looking for familiar faces...or loose women.

Eventually, Hawke managed to find his way to the Obs Deck, but not after hitting up the Weapons and Possessions Lockers. He had been fortunate enough to find his suit of armor, which he was now wearing, as well as the rather weighty broadsword he hefted onto his shoulder.

He kept his hand on his weapon, but didn't try to appear too hostile. After all, where he came from, strange situations often came with fights, and he'd rather not be caught unprepared.

Looking around at the massive room as he entered, Hawke couldn't help but wonder why his captors had such a disturbing taste in architecture.

Oh, hey Hawke. Have a zombie with a halberd over one shoulder and a sword on her hip. And plate armor. Lots of it.

Miranda stood at the edge of the Obs Deck, nervously watching all of the people milling about nervously. Was anyone from the Order here? Was Allen, or Lenalee, or Lavi? Or...maybe even Kanda?

But the terrifying thought that kept running through her head, was that maybe, the Earl was behind this. Maybe all these people weren't people, but akuma. Her eyes darted around, wondering if any of them were going to attack. She knew that akuma would always attack an Exorcist, and with her uniform on they couldn't possibly miss her. But back home, Miranda had never been on her own like the other Exorcists. Her abilities were only defensive, not offensive - so there had always been someone with her that who could defeat the akuma. Here, all she could do was use Time Out to shield herself. She held the black disc that was her Time Record close, praying that she wouldn't have to activate it.

What a ride! Things were happening so quickly, Jara wasn't entirely sure what to make of it all. Glowing Flowers that were also eggs and coccoons, Mother Sky speaking to him and telling him he had been chosen to help, losing Ket and Toby, seeing the living vines, being given things.....

The afterlife was busier than he had ever imagined it would be.

Unlike most of the humans he saw, the piece of plant he had been given did not cover his entire body. It hugged his upper arm tightly instead, strangely warm and pulsing like the rest of Mother Sky; it was strange, almost unnatural, but..... the reminder that she was always with him was rather reassuring, to be honest. Once the volunteer had shown him how, he had slipped the ring onto his finger as well, the one that had been indicated--just like a wedding band would be worn, though he had no way of realizing it. But the Omnicomm.... that, he just held awkwardly, unsure of what he was supposed to do with it. He knew that humans wore things, even if he didn't know why, but usually carrying something had a purpose, didn't it? What was the purpose for this?

The mystery of the Omnicomm didn't hold his attention for long, though--there was simply too much else happening for him to care about it. He stretched up onto his toes and snaked his head as high as it would go, balancing with his tail as he sought to look over the heads of the crowd. He could see no birds here, and no other Hork Bajir.... That must mean that Ket and Toby really hadn't come to Mother Sky, too, or Tobias. Was that a good thing, if they weren't dead? Or was it bad, if they had not found their way up the Great Tree?

He wasn't sure. It was too hard to tell, and he was still struggling to understand.... if she were here, he knew Toby would have understood immediately. Tobias would have, too. Even the rest of the Animorphs might have. But who would help him understand now, when he could see nobody he recognized?

Beastboy was weaving his way through the crowd as a green puppy at the time, sniffing about and listening for people that might want to meet him...you know...even if they didn't know it yet.

And that's when he ran smack into the legs of what looked like a walking salad shredder.

Clark, being the slightly anti-social person that he was, was off to the side, leaning up against a wall.

There he stood, his mind running through all the implications of what he'd been told. Really, he needed his typewriter. It had always been his best way of keeping his thoughts in order. The omnicomm he'd been given wasn't exactly the best thing to put down his private thoughts, given that it was a little too open for his tastes.

Oh look, a wallflower to go bug. Kate grinned, and slowly walked over to him.

"Pretty overwhelming isn't it? You get used to it. Sort of."

She then offered her hand, "I'm Kate."

Daniel followed the others that trailed out of the cavern, looking more like a lost patrol than a soldier. He found his eyes kept straying everywhere but what was in front of him, studying the walls and lights with growing interest. The lights at least, seemed obvious enough. They were set in a way guiding towards a spiraling staircase. He'd never seen anything quite like this. There still wasn't any definite sign as to where or what this was. The stairs might be a good place to start. He need more time to investigate. He got the impression that the room they'd all woken up with was large than he could fathom, thousands of pods or maybe even more all over the place. What he did know was that it was utterly massive and if he didn't know better, alive. The walls and floors seemed to pulse under his touch, and the smell and temperature was humid, musty and sour.

What had been at the top of the stairs though...

Daniel wanted to forget about it but that wasn't going to happen. It was one of the most bizarre experiences he'd ever had in his entire life. He'd thought he was being attacked. It turned out that the vines had slapped themselves on him and then started flattening. Before he'd had a chance to to do anything about it, they seemed to sew themselves all over his body into a suit. Then the rest of the vines folded politely back into the wall, as if nothing happened.

Yes, he managed to locate his BDU back after that. The tactical vest was back on. They weren't exactly the same, but it was close enough for him. More importantly, his glasses were perched safely on the bridge of his nose. How they avoided being smashed in his fall into the Gate Room was a miracle, and with the way he'd gone into the ramp, they really shouldn't have gotten out unscathed. They weren't even scratched.

On some days, it felt like his glasses had more lives than he did.

Things were slowly looking up. It was an improvement over a half hour ago. He wasn't wandering around nude, for one, or covered in mucus. There wasn't any sign of the GDU or the gun. That figured. At least he'd gotten clothes back. Daniel never thought he'd miss the feel of a military uniform before. The weight of the fabric and the vest was incredibly reassuring in its familiarity. Best of all, he could see. Daniel almost felt human again.

It was just that strange suit underneath. Daniel was starting to wonder if it'd been a good idea to put it on in the first place. It wasn't like he'd had a choice though. The suit underneath didn't leave anything to the imagination. What was worse was that it was also silky smooth and if he didn't know better, it had a pulse. Every now and then, he'd feel the thing throb as if alive. A sudden, ugly idea struck him. What if the suits are slowly digesting us alive?

Daniel couldn't help it. He started to look green at the thought. He looked around. Someone had to have some answers here. That was suddenly the most pressing thing to ask.

Nima's made her first friend within minutes of arriving in this strange new place, which isn't unusual for her. The plansuit pulses mildly against her skin, a pleasant, slightly distracting sensation, especially when she has her hand on the arm of a very tall man whom she's already attracted to. There will be time for that, sooner rather than later if they figure out what's going on in detail, and where they can find their stuff. Nima very deliberately doesn't need anything, but she wants her glider at least.

"I can't see anything from down here. I'm going to have a look around."

She shifts into a stance and, spurring a portion of the stale, breathless air into sudden motion, launches herself high above the crowd, scanning the faces below her. She gently arcs into a fall and cushions her landing with graceful motions of her arms and hands.

"I think I saw one of my brothers down there!"

Outside the spirit world, he can't fly, but man can he jump. Tensing a moment, he launches himself after her, landing with a larger thump, but nonetheless superhuman grace, all the more surprising for his size.

"Huh, don't see anyone I know. But then I'd know if they were here and awake." he replies, tapping his head.

"Want company while you look around?"

Cause, really, he'd follow something that hot anywhere.

Well, guess this was the welcome wagon that scruffy scarred swordfighter had been grumping about. Midna floating up over the height of most of the crowd, trying to spot a young man in green. Or a wolf! A wolf would do fine.

Unfortunately, she was getting the sinking feeling that there'd be no such luck. There had to be a hundred faces, and no hero chosen by the gods in sight.

A lot to take in, but nothing he wasn’t used to through years in the Pegasus Galaxy. Rodney looked around the giant meatship. As if it couldn’t get any worse, the other day he was fighting wraiths (nevermind that he wasn’t actually the one fighting), and now he was on a wraith-like ship. Actually, he could not wait to get a hold of what made this ship tick. Was it self-regenerative like the wraith hiveships? Where were the people that ran this ship? Angie had just (mostly) come off shift. Mostly meant that there were still a couple of doubles running around, but not as many as usual. So the call to the Obs Deck actually came at a good time.

She glanced around, walking over to one of the gentlemen who looked very intent. "Hello," she said, smiling. "You must be one of the new guys. I'm pretty certain I haven't seen you here before."

Sarah Kerrigan entered the Obs Deck. That was when it was apparent that whoever had experimented on her had given her a neural inhibitor. She knew that they had limited her powers, she could feel it, but now she only picked up a general sense of confusion. Her face flushed and she clenched her hands into fists.

Used again. She unknowingly projected not only the thought but the impotent rage behind it.

Finally decked in something a little more comfortable than being completely naked, the half-zenithian presented herself in the outfit the ship had given her, hoping that somewhere, she could find her armor, sword, helm and shield (but honestly, mostly the sword).

Another quest to undertake. From her world into saving worlds? If it worried her, it did not show in her face.

Zouichi was looking for those that stuck out in the crowd, and someone standing aside watching the others met that definition precisely.
