[Open] because some people just don't pay attention to current events.

Sandy liked it in the city.

With everything so closed and cramped in the halls and the different areas of the ship nothing felt quite as open and free to her as running through the city.

It seemed to go on forever, and if she wasn't careful she'd find herself lost for who knows how long.

She had figured out a way past that though, between chalk and paint she had picked up on the last planet she was sure she could leave markers in places that would help her find her way back.

And so she traveled, running and jumping, up stairs and jumping from roof to roof or back down through the streets and buildings.

The young woman climbing and dashing over the buildings caught the Chancellor's eye, and he smiled a little to himself.

As a father, the Chancellor can't help himself. "Young lady, be careful!"

The Chancellor tries to relax, but still watches, puzzled and concerned. What is she doing?

The Chancellor -- all nearly-nine feet of him -- walks over. "Certainly. What is it you're trying to do?"

"...You might fit better," the Chancellor decides, taking the chalk. When she lies down, he'll comply as best he can. He's got a reasonably steady and efficient hand.

"Is this a common type of art in your own culture?" The Chancellor feels compelled to ask as he traces the best he could. It's not bad.

"Interesting. In the Avalon Empire, we are somewhat more interested in light sculpture than...rain-vulnerable art." He finishes. "How does this look?"

"Good, then," The Chancellor said mildly. The colors were... nice, he supposed?

Having started to leave her to her activities, the Chancellor starts hurrying towards her in horror.

[identity profile] twilit-midna.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Uh oh, that sounded like a scream. Abandoning what she was doing, Midna rushed toward its source at once.

[identity profile] noboothneeded.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Clark heard the scream from miles off. There wasn't any time to think about the ramifications of what he was about to do. Only just enough time to get there.

A small sonic boom went off in the city, and then Clark was right under Sandy, catching her in his arms while hovering off the ground.

"Mind telling me how this happened?"

The Chancellor sighed with relief seeing the girl caught. Strange, though. The young man looked human.

[identity profile] twilit-midna.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, it was that girl again. What was her name? More importantly, was that man flying?

Not that Midna couldn't fly, but she certainly couldn't move at that fast a clip.

Ah crud. Witnesses. That meant the cat was out of the bag.

"Just for future reference? I wouldn't recommend you playing around up there again." he said, descending back down to the ground.

[identity profile] ternaui.livejournal.com 2011-05-04 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
The Chancellor sees no problem with calling over a brisk, professional "Well done, young man."

Well, as long as Sandy's fine, there's no real reason to stick around; she doesn't want to blow her cover, after all.

"Yes, an excellent effort." She bowed briskly. "I'm afraid I have a prior appointment. But it was lucky that you were around."
