Somewhere in the hallways, a chute opened up in the wall, and unceremoniously deposited Clark Kent flat on his back before promptly closing up.
Clark picked himself up, rubbing the back of his neck out of reflex rather than any sort of pain.
"Y'know, ONE of these days someone's not gonna take so kindly to you lying about that cake GlaDOS." he said, glaring at the spot the exit had disappeared from.

Megan smiled shyly.
"You okay? Looked like a rough landing."

"I'm more worried about how long I've been running mazes. Any idea how much time it's been since Lirath?"
no subject
"A while ago. Lirath was before I got here and I've been here for at least the space of three or four planet-side missions now."
"Sorry I can't be more specific."

"Anyways Hi. Clark Kent." He held out a hand to shake. "And if you have any idea what that name means, I'm probably not the guy you're thinking of."
no subject
"Megan Morse. I've heard the name before, definitely, but I'm used to people around here not being who I expect them to be."

"Eventually, you get used to the disappointment," Terry said with a smile.

He held out a hand, "I don't think we've met. Terry McGinnis, Batman."

He grasped Terry's hand. "Clark Kent. Not Superman."

"Wow, that's uh, quite a coincidence," Terry managed to say. "You must get confused for the wrong person a lot, huh?"
no subject
"And I haven't really had that problem yet. I just like heading any confusion off at the path. Especially considering..." The teenager trailed off. He hadn't been on the ground when it happened, but he certainly saw it thanks to his telescoping vision.

"Oof!"

"Kon, get off me."

"That has to be the longest time I've ever been stuck in there."
He sat up. "Weird how GLaDoS went all quiet at the end, though."
Annoying as the taunting was, it'd been unnerving. A few times he wondered if he'd just be abandoned in there.

"Scorch marks. And it looks like something tore a chunk out of the wall over there."

"It's like this ship can't go a freakin' week without something going all to hell."
