It had been the usual mission briefing, not that any of them remembered it. The crew knew they were gone and had no idea when they'd be back, and likely wouldn't attempt rescue for quite some time, especially with Stacy considering the mission "ongoing."

They had no idea when they'd be back, either, namely because they never remembered being on the ship in the first place.

It was home. It had always been home.

Welcome to Fairplay, Iowa, folks, happiest little town in the Midwest.

29th-Nov-2010 09:33 am - The Right Stuff [OPEN]
The minute Trudy set foot in the Sensoriums, the place shimmered around her, reproducing the hangar of the Macross Quarter and the fighters now stored there. She walked through the ranks of ships until she got to her own X-wing, running her fingers over it pensively.

Lately during the training exercises, she'd spent more time on the bridge commanding the squadrons and less time in her fighter, something that irked her deeply. But that was par for the course with the job she'd taken, and somebody had to do it.

In the Sensoriums too, her plantsuit changed into the uniform she would soon be commissioning from a certain seamstress aboard the ship, with the stripes of her rank on either shoulder. She needed to talk about commissioning uniforms for the rest of Starfighter Command as well - it would give them a sense of solidarity that they sorely needed.

For now, though, she waited for the prospective pilot she'd talked with over the comms - and for anyone else who might want to show up, too.

((OOC: If your character wanted to join Starfigher Command, feel free to hop into this post. Trudy will be assessing people's piloting skills. Other pilots or people are free to stop by, too.))

28th-Nov-2010 07:42 pm - Reunion [Closed]
After spending some time in the Sensorium with Irma, Nunnally returned to the room she was sharing with Lelouch. She couldn't wait to see him again. It had been so long, he must have been so worried...

She poked her head in and looked around. "Brother?"
26th-Nov-2010 11:49 pm - Getting Out of Thiings [Open]
Irma was, to say the least, bored out of her skull. Oh, sure, it was nice to have time with Hay Lin and all, but she needed to go out and do something else for a chance.

That something else? Heading for the sensoriums and letting herself go free. Of course, that meant entering one of them and bringing up a nice, cool fall day in a forest.

"Ahh, now that's better." Irma uttered, pulling the materialized jacket around her to keep her warm. If her dates were right, it was nearing December - almost Christmas time. How time flew...

Letting out a soft sigh, she smiled as she walked through the forest, letting the fallen leaves crush under her feet, not caring who showed up at the moment.
28th-Oct-2010 08:38 pm - Halloween Party
Who knows why the ship was doing this. Maybe it was some kind of social experiment. Maybe Stacy was feeling festive and somewhere, out there, it was Halloween. Maybe the players just wanted to have Halloween fun. No one would ever know, would they.

In any case, what better place for a Halloween dance than a graveyard? In an area in the center, clear of headstones, there was a dance floor, and there were seats and tables with skeletal frames. Somehow grisly carved torches and jack-o-lanterns of varying sizes and shapes, cast enough eerie light to light up the place, despite the fact it was night. There were places to bob for apples, popcorn balls on strings strung up for people to try to eat for games involving that. The food tables will full of Halloweeny snacks and candy.

Far off, there was a haunted house, decrepit and foreboding. It seemed people could look into it if they dared sent down the dark trail to where it was. [ooc: Haunted house post link forthcoming].

Creepy--but danceable music was playing, from nowhere.

Perhaps most notable was the fact that the moment someone entered the Sensorium, they would find themselves in a costume. Sometimes these costumes would be what the character themselves would choose, but sometimes they'd be dressed as something strange, embarrassing, or just something they wouldn't even recognize. Leaving and coming back wouldn't fix the problem, in most cases. The costumes wouldn't change, and if they did, it wasn't guaranteed that they'd change to something better.

Whatever the case, party hard, Meatship. Somebody's got to teach the Vikings, draconians, aliens, and other sundry people to Thriller dance.

14th-Oct-2010 12:44 pm - Do You See What I See? [Open]
Arhu wandered into the Obs Deck and found a relatively quiet space, sitting down and wrapping his tail neatly around his feet. Looking out the viewport at space travelling by them - only it wasn't space, it was that thing called the Bleed - he half-closed his eyes, all the better to see and be seen by the immaterial. Or to See and be Seen by it.

His Eye wasn't working, not properly. Or it was working, but it was like when he'd first discovered it, and didn't have any control over it at all. Only this time he knew what it was like to have some measure of control (he certainly didn't have full control over the thing yet), so it was all the more frustrating. But he knew that he could figure out what he needed to do to make it work here - it would just take some practice, both in the way the People Saw, and the way the Ravens saw.

Though maybe using Raven-style right now would be the best approach. Go above and around the confusion, and only dip in when it was necessary. The hard part would be figuring out when it was necessary.

Settling himelf down into a meditative loaf, he opened his Eye, and began to awkwardly try to maneuver his way through the utter confusion that was the Bleed.
2nd-Oct-2010 02:03 pm - Meet-n-Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

2nd-Oct-2010 02:01 pm - Podpop
[ooc: Newbie Helpers List | Instructions: Post your character with one post establishing them as being podpopped. Tag each other in groups of 2's, 3's, and 4's, to get some interaction to start with. If a thread doesn't already have 2 or 3 people tagged in, tag it with your character's podpop popping near the other people, rather than making a new subthread. If you would like to play out them talking to the AI, please send an email to the mods making the request--we do this only by request. Then move onto the big Newbie Meeting. Once your character has gotten the rundown from the old crew, you may start posting entrance posts and freely tagging.]

||Pod Release Protocols Initating|| Stacy's familiar voice sounds out to all the podmates through the ship.

In the Pod Caverns, there are the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.

There is condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slide out onto the floors, covered in slime.
