Billy had just launched another portal in that maze of mazes, exhaustion setting in. Surely this time he would land on another moving platform of death?

Nope, just the exterior of the finished bathhouses. All polished, systems running, and just about ready to open! Given how sore and exhausted he was, that sounded like an excellent idea at the moment.

With a quick message to the rest of the crew, he set out the 'Open' sign for the first time and took advantage of his owner status---the prime waterfall spot could be his!

((ooc: The bathhouses are now open! Feel free to mingle around, relax, and have a party. Or cause trouble, but that might invite more trouble. Just start a subthread with your character's location and have fun. For reference there are individual showers in front, followed by hot tubs centrally located, saunas further back, and private baths along the side. The showers, tubs, and saunas have smaller sex-segregated units along with a central group unit that's larger.))

Billy would likely consider this his favorite moment of the past little while. Solitude, warmth, numbing all that pain? What more could he want?

He sat under the wide waterfall pouring into the tub, leaning into the water pouring over his back. After three days of testing, having a moment to collect himself before meeting up with the others was a wonderful opportunity.

"...I think I need to adjust the jets," he frowned, leaning over to twist a knob. With that much pressure they could blast swim trunks off. Not good.

"My, my, Billy." Mei-Xing leers openly, leaning against the wall. She grins, his trunks flying from the pool to her hand. She inspects them critically, stretching the waistband with two hooked fingers. "I didn't know that this was a clothing optional area."

Oh, the possibilities that were now open... She bites her lower lip, fighting to keep from giggling openly.

Celena had been idly tinkering in her abode she had noticed the message over the omnicomms from Billy about the Bathhouse, she had noticed his absence the last while. Thus deciding that she'd had enough tinkering for the moment she'd taken wing over towards the Bathhouse.

It wasn't long before she'd padded in through the doors of the fully constructed bath house, it was pretty much as she had imagined it, but to see what she had aided in designing and constructing finished was a satisfying thought.

Hearing Billy as she walked past one of the rooms she gave a soft chuckle as she peered into the room, "It is understandable that some things may still require fine tuning,"

Billy's message on the Omnicoms comes as a surprise to Jamie. An entire bathhouse? Had he really been gone on the mission that long? More likely was that he had missed some messages along the way, but it's still a bit unexpected.

That doesn't stop him from going down to have a wee peek around, however. Once there, it's tempting to find the nearest tub and sink into it, but he's aware that it's been too long since he's seen Billy. So he looks for him first, and finds both tub and friend in the same location. Handy, that. The knob-twisting catches his attention, and he leans in to try and get a better look. And ask a few questions, of course.

"Why do ye want to do that?"

After that insane mission, and spending some quality time catching up with Tony, bathhouse sounded like a perfect idea. Kate was dressed in a bikini that had swirls of pink and purple over it. A good way to combine her past and present together.

She waved to Billy as she found a spot to slip in with a content sigh.

"Definitely needs more lasers," Lash objected, appearing behind him, hands pondering at this entire place. Still unused to the idea of the pool at the outsider's location...and now the idea of an entire bathhouse sounded well a bit of a waste of time really but maybe something she could learn to appreciate.

And the first thing she'd do would be to greet Billy, taking a moment to let the water fall over her before going over and hugging her Bonded.

"It looks great," she said, smiling broadly at him. "I can't believe how different it is from when we last worked on it. You really did a great job."

And that being said, the moment the swim trunks seemed to waver Katara turned her eyes, reddening. "But um, you might want to adjust the water pressure a little."

Angie wore a lot of silver, if people were paying attention. It came from having nanotech that was completely under her own control. So she came into the co-ed area wearing a...small silver bikini. It covered all the relevant bits, but not a lot more.

"Hello, Billy." She slid into the water beside him, groaning softly. "Oh yes. This is so much better than sonic. Or vines."

Negi showed up in his Nagi form, because nothing said awkward like a little kid mingling in nothing but one of Rein's handmade yukata. He was grinning widely though as he stepped into the men's section.

Of course being the mens section of the bathhouse, and this being Negi, the chances of seeing a significant other naked just went up by two hundred percent.

"Oh this is so awesome Aniki," grinned Chamo.

Cue significant other appearing, as Asuna was on the women's side of the bathhouse! She was also wearing nothing but a yukata herself, though hers wasn't handmade. Or maybe it was; she wasn't quite sure.

The girl blinked in confusion as she heard a very familiar voice coming from the men's side, then shook her head while casually getting ready to relax.

Must've been my imagination... she thought, humming lightly under her breath.

After inspecting her finished project for a bit (she designed it, it was as much hers as anyone's) and leaving several bottles of booze for people to stumble across, Mei-Xing relaxes in the hot tub, taking a swig of the vodka she'd been saving for a special occasion. She wasn't very far into the bottle, but she'd mixed in some engine cleaner with this batch. It had a kick, and every time she took a swig, she had to gasp for air.

Still... Relaxing like this, strategically placed a water jet, she could almost imagine she was somewhere civilized. It got a happy sigh out of her.

Katara had been really excited when she heard Billy was back, and more so with the news that the bathhouse was finished. With glee she had stripped down to her white underclothes and was already settling into the tub whens she noticed a bottle here. Quizzically, she opened it and took a sniff, wrinkling her nose.

Strong, she thought, and took a polite sip, coughing a little as she put it down, then closed her eyes. A moment later the water was bubbling even more furiously, and she added another jet of steam with a wave of her hand.

"Oh, hi!" She said, noticing Mei-Xing. "I'm sorry, was this bottle yours?"

It seemed like more and more there were things that made Sasami feel like home. The addition of the baths made things even more welcome. Stepping into the girls side baths, she let herself relax inside the water, the only thing she regretted was that she didn't have her usual hair ties - she never thought she'd get a chance to do this - thus her long, blue hair floated around like some sort of creature.

Relaxing, she closed her eyes and just let herself enjoy the feeling of it all. It had been a rough week for her.

And someone who had not been seem for quite awhile happened to paddle in near Sasami. She had stayed in her domain for quite awhile, pleased to be left alone, but the ship was now bursting with activity and more people again, so it seemed ridiculous to hide herself when there were more people to observe. As it would happen, she spotted someone she knew quite well, only in a more revealing manner than usual.

Alessa, clad in her uniform, was now with only a towel wrapped around her chest, and, as if reading Sasami's mind, appeared behind the girl's head, binding her hair.

"Hello," she said. "Isn't it more logical to do something like this with your hair tied back?"

Since no one has told her off for it-and quite frankly, Alessa wouldn't care of they did- she's still relaxing in the sauna without clothing, until she SMELLS IT. Filth.

Fate was an emotional mess. While she did her best trying to hide it from the others, there were hints; the beginnings of dark circles under her eyes from a few days of restless sleep, and the fact that her almost always-present smile was nowhere to be seen. So when she heard about the bathhouse opening, she took it as an opportunity to try to relax and clear her head.

And now, here she was, submerged up to her nose in hot water. She may not be in much of a chatty mood right now, but feel free to approach her!

Even though she wasn't particularly fond of bathing (because she's a dog...), there were times when it was simply necessary. Now was one of those times. Her timing had been good, at least! As she spied Fate, she let out a happy yelp before rushing towards her, splashing water all over the place as she went. She wasn't too concerned about bothering others, but as she grew closer she quickly noticed Fate's expression and disposition. Something was bothering her obviously.

Arf quieted down a bit as she got closer, though her presence was already probably more than obvious after the racket she'd been making a second ago. "...Fate?"

Men's side, open baths

Sokka had opted for the guy-only side of the baths--for one, it meant no embarrassing encounters with any of the female crew members. For two, it meant he didn't have to worry about running into his sister and that Matt guy. If they were over there. Still. He sank down into the hot water with a sigh. It was good to have something like this. You could just sink into the water, relax. Let yourself go.

Forget about saving the world for a few minutes.

Hiccup was completely wrapped in towels. One around his waist, one around his shoulders, one clutched to cover his chest. He shuffled in, peeking around the wall cautiously, his automail foot clinking slightly on the tiles.

Except, it was hard to peek at anything with your eyes closed.

"There aren't any, ah, girls in here, in the wrong place, right?"

Volstagg had given himself a careful sniff and decided that, indeed, it may be time for a bath. As he was heading to the river, Billy had announced the novel idea of a communal bath. Curious, the god had headed over.

It was certainly warm. He'd give it that. With a cautious dip of the toe, he decides that it's not too ht, then slides into the water. Ignoring the large ripple from his bulk, and the splashing of the overflowing water, he sighs contentedly. "Aye, this is a worthwhile place to bathe! Mortals, you are so inventive at times."

Katara, after greeting Billy decided it might be a good idea to take a bath too. Making sure to do it carefully, since she didn't want her skin exposed too much, she's carefully cleaned herself in parts, and once said parts were taken care of, she was able to submerge herself in the water entirely with coverings on and all.

And then the splash of water came, unexpected, and Katara actually brought the water up in the air a moment so she wouldn't go flying, and balanced herself ON the water before splashing in again. Upon seeing the culprit (and why) she gave the man a smile.

"Hello!" she said, offering a smile. "Nice day for a bath, isn't it?"

Sauna, Girls' Side

Kanaya hadn't been sure what to make of the concept of a public bathhouse. She'd grown up in a desert, and even within her landscaped oasis, water had been a luxury. The baths were tempting, but she decided to stick with something somewhat less alien for the time being: the saunas.

Having put away her plantsuit and taken a towel, Kanaya sat in the girls'-side sauna, eyes closed as she soaked in the steam heat. It was a relaxing sensation, but it was so strange that she wasn't sure how much relaxation she'd really be able to manage.

Well, it was always nice to meet new people as Mindy, right? Hit Girl didn't need/couldn't afford to have a whole gaggle of friends, but there didn't seem to be a reason for Mindy to be as reclusive. Better to have as many friends as she could, and that would be, since she was in the girl's side for the moment, in the form of a girl.

Alex had a towel around his waist, and another around his chest. He had said to Billy that he was going to stop by. The men's only side of the bath house seemed like a safe enough choice. Real water seemed like such a great idea, and even Alice seemed excited as she perched on his shoulder.

Unfortunately, he just walked into the women's side instead.

Alessa had still not bothered to clothe herself, and why should she? AS far as she was concerned, she was here to bathe, and, for the moment, simply take in the baths. There was no reason to believe anything should go awry.

And then she spotted the boy, and even a demon knew where she belonged, and where he did not. A moment later, she appeared behind him.

"You are not in the coed or men's bath," she said simply. "And you are most certainly male. If you did this intentionally I will make you regret it."

And she says this, of course, naked as a jaybird.

Man, this was exactly what the doctor ordered. The doctor took one look at Dave and said that he needed some sweet hot tub action right now. The guy's side also prevented any licking trolls getting at his face and female friends from seeing him naked. There was nothing cool about being naked. Which was why he had a towel even in the hot tub, as cumbersome as it was soaked with water.

There was a lot of shit to plan, but it all felt a million miles away as Dave let the steam fog up his sunglasses. Nothing could spoil this. At all.

It took some time, but Starfire managed to fix her hair into a complicated pile-on arrangement. She slipped out of her clothes, showered, and was content to find an empty bath and...what was the saying? 'Wash one's troubles away'? If anyone preferred clothed bathmates, they could find another room.

Having grown up in the thirtieth century, the idea of bathing in water was still incredibly foreign to Jeka. She knew that the Legionnaires who got trapped in the past had to do it, and the Legionnaires who'd been lost in another galaxy had done so, but the idea just struck her as...itchy.

On the other hand: the roof is fantastic. She wasn't sure what was underneath this particular section, but whatever it was provided the right amount of heat over a wide enough area that she could lay down comfortably. Oh yes, she was going to have to find Billy Cranston at some point and thank him for this.

If it wasn't for the fact that a bit of pink hair hung over the side of the roof, and the end of a scaly tail, Jeka wouldn't be noticable at all from the ground. Kang almost didn't even notice that, but the pink stood out against the color of the building, and caught his eye.

Huh. Who or what was up there?

Luckily for him, it was a one-story building, so it wasn't difficult for him to pull himself up on the roof with a little aid from his wings. Oh, right, he'd seen her around the ship.

"...sorry, ma'am. I didn't mean to bother you, I just saw something up here and was wondering what it was." Oops.

After catching up with Billy, Jamie opts to wander about for a bit to get a feel for the place. It looks to be quite popular, and he's pleased his friend was able to come up with something people like so much. He idly contemplates trying the saunas, but the hot water is more appealing at the moment - so it's back to the original plan of finding the nearest tub and sinking into it.

All the nearby ones seem full, however, and he considers moving on before deciding that he might as well see if there's room for him to join first. It's not like he's not dressed - he does have swim trunks, after all. So hopefully there won't be any objections.

Stopping at the edge of one of the tubs, he clears his throat before asking, "Er, do ye mind if I join ye?"

After a good talk with Billy and an interesting run in with Alex Celena decided to see about relaxing herself and putting one of the vacant tubs designed for larger crew members like herself and multiple people. Having slid gracefully into the relaxing warmth of the water she half curled herself up, only her head sticking up out of the water.

Thus it was resting in this manner, her chin resting just over the edge of the pool that she stayed for some time, letting thoughts drift on those she had seen around and on various projects she had planned. Her eyes drifting closed for the moment as she simply relaxed.

And to run into it here, seemed a little strange... but it was also, admittedly, cool. (And a part of her instantly thought of the firepower potential.)

The bikini-clad blonde approach the tub, before sliding in. She wasn't really that wary-- just interested.

Women's Baths

Shortly after her release (and after she'd stopped cuddling with Steve), Miku had learned of the baths. Now, clean and warm, she soaked in the women's tubs up to her chin, sighing in contentment. She had to unwind before she caught up with Nanoha and figure out what it was she missed, as well as explain about that... ghost business.

She smiled and pulled her hair back up into its massive bun where it fell out. "So nice..."

Nanoha looked just as happy as Miku felt, lounging against the side of the bath, with the water just below her mouth, and her hair down from its usual ponytail. "I can't believe we went so long without something like this," she agreed.
