Long Shots [OPEN]

There were some unusual sounds in the Hangar today. Namely, the sounds of a large particle rifle discharging several rounds, followed by the sound of whatever was on the wrong end of those shots quite violently becoming shards of scrap metal. Occasionally, there were also some loud thump, thump, thumps, as a pair of mobile suits would periodically reposition themselves.

Yep. Mobile suits. Or more specifically, the Gundams known as Dynames and the 00 Raiser.

Two of the members of Celestial Being, Setsuna F. Seiei and Lockon Stratos, set up their own make-shift shooting gallery in the Hangar. For the purposes of both safety and privacy, they selected an isolated section a good distance away from the more active areas. It was a row that stretched on for more than a mile, with targets lined up in a row every 200 meters (every 1/8th of a mile), going on for 2km (1.25 miles). In addition, both Lockon's orange Haro and Setsuna's red one were set to continuously scan the area, and alert them should anyone be approaching.

They also took into consideration the scarce resources available to them. The racks that lined the row they were in had been emptied out by Stacy, at their request, so any collateral damage would be minimal. Additionally, the material they used as their makeshift targets had all been clearly designated as junk. It was made up mostly ships that had been stripped and gutted for parts by engineering, or damaged beyond repair during Zokez II. Nothing that anyone would miss.

It was a good way to get some live operational data from their suits (rather some simulated data generated by the sensoriums). But for Setsuna, it was, more importantly, another way to gauge the authenticity of Lockon Stratos, as he still had a hard time believing that Lockon was back from the dead (or never died to begin with, as this one claimed). He had been relentlessly scrutinizing the guy for the last few days, following him around like, quite literally, a shadow (he usually trailed only a few feet behind him and never said a word). While he hadn't seen any kind of behavior that was somehow un-Lockon-like, this would provide another way to gauge him. After all, it was difficult to fake the ability to "target and fire from beyond the stratosphere." So far, this guy was living up to the name.

"Target row cleared. Hit rate: 100%" he spoke over the comms, his voice as emotionless as it always was. "You can commence firing at the next row at your discretion."

Still, while Setsuna's attention might have been focused on Lockon's ability, the fact that there were two giant robots blowing stuff up indoors might draw the attention of others as well.

[Feel free to talk to Setsuna or Lockon or both, or whomever else is around. Thread crashing is encouraged, though you might want to ask first just to be safe]
