Meat n' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"There are people here from many planets, many universes. There are multiple technologies available aboard the ship, including thought-to-speech translation devices for different species. I do not know your place of origin, but here you may speak freely, as you wish."

Pause.
"What have they done with my daughters?"

"We have been told that we were rescued from certain death by a race called the Daligig, and that our families and friends have been rescued as well. If your daughters are here and awake, you can contact them with the omnicomm; if they are asleep down in the pods, they are at least safe. I do not believe that I have met any of your species on board this ship; however I have only been awake here myself for about one hundred days."

She extended her own hand in turn, reaching up a bit to clasp his in the human gesture. "I am Anwei Ayles. Pleased to meet you, Chancellor. The crew have recorded their interactions with the Daligig. Apparently if we help them stop the Ohm, they will find some way of restoring our lost worlds. We hope. We all hope."
She looked curious. "You are familiar with the concept...was there news on your planet of other worlds or dimensions being destroyed?"

"The Daligig have not claimed ownership of us as such - but they control this ship, and the pods that hold millions of sentients. Sentients that may be the last of their species. That knowledge definitely has a coercive effect on the crew. But until we have definite proof that the Daligig are lying, or we can find a way to free this ship from their influence, our paths are tied to their will." She shrugged, hands out. "I wish I could say otherwise."
