Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

At the last bit, Matt nodded as he picked up his Omnicom and uploaded a list. "There are several departments that would gladly allow someone new, ranging from medical, engineering, science, studies of magic and technology and other major groups as well, such as the Outsiders."

"As for day to day things, finding your niche with other people is highly recommended. We've got all sorts of people from different walks of life from superheroes, pilots, Kamen Riders, Power Rangers..."

Ryuunosuke gave a weak laugh as he heard this. "Ah well... Where I was I was an actor of sorts... But hmm..." It appeared he was struggling as to what he could possibly do.

He looked up at him. They knew of Kamen Riders here? He privately wondered if they knew of Tsukasa, Daiki and Yuusuke but he would keep that quiet for now. "So you have Kamen Riders? Do you have Sentai?"

"We could always use something to lighten our spirits at times, even if it is a simple thing," admitted Matt. "I know morale amidst the crew has been rock bottom lately."

"Yes, two of them, though we had four..." Matt counted mentally. "No wait, five if I'm not mistaken from what Negi told me. Poor kid can't keep a secret. Though I'm friends with two of them: Ren Akiyama and Phillip. Tsukasa was podded a few months ago, as well as our other two members who liked to keep their identities a little under the cover. Though I think one of them was, um... Ryoutarou I think his name was..."

"As for Sentai..." he turned the word over. It meant Task Force, didn't it? "If you're talking about a hero group in armor, the Power Rangers could probably qualify, though I only know of Billy to be honest, and his squad. Being on the Council I hear of the going ons mostly."

"Ah... well... The type of acting I do is Japanese Kabuki. So if they wouldn't mind that..." He had to admit that he had also been taking some kabuki samurai dance lessons after he had seen an up and coming kabuki performer before the Ohm.

He heard the names spoken. Only one he had heard of. "Tsukasa... As in Tsukasa Kadoya? Kamen Rider Decade? I know him. He came to my and my friend's world once for about a week I think. Tried to make himself out as a servant in my lord's house."

And Ryuunosuke slapped a hand over his mouth. Stupid stupid stupid, he thought to himself as behind his hand he bit his lip. Oh yeah, he had some explaining to do.

Matt raised an eyebrow at that. So this guy knew Tsukasa? Chances were that he had some kind of power but seemed squirrely about it for some reason. Best reassure him.

"Hey, don't worry," said Matt, tossing up a privacy charm for the time being, the sound muted suddenly. "Completely confidential if you want to let me know what's going on at least. I just put up a privacy ward -- no sound will get out from between us. You have my word."

"A-ah, thank you," he told him, scratching the back of his head, "The reason why I know Tsukasa is because he and his friends came to our world - Shinken World as they called it. My lord, my friend who was also awakened - Takeru Shiba - and I were of the group known as the Shinkengers. As you said... a group of heroes in armor of sorts. We were born with our gifts in power. Tsukasa had been brought into our world dressed as a kuroko, a servant in the Shiba house. That didn't last for long, though."

"I see. I did hear that Tsukasa was a reality jumper so that does make a lot of sense," said Matt, rubbing his chin in thought. "It must have been quite the encounter, from what I remember of him."

"As for keeping your secret, I respect that. I know a lot of heroes are uncomfortable with their secrets getting out, and with such a diverse cast we have to respect their boundaries. If you have a friend here from Shinken World here with you other than yourself, I can offer you room and board for as long as you need it. There are also places out in the city that have been rescued from the worlds. Some familiar landmarks may be there as well."

"It was an interesting run in. And most of the trouble came from a fellow traveler known as Daiki, who had apparently lost his device to one of the Ayakashi that we normally fight.

"In our world, we were known and yet not," he tried to explain, "We would henshin in front of people, but they were more often than not occupied with an infliction that the Ayakashi - the monsters we fought - had put on them or running for their lives. I will get Takeru and inform him of your offer. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to take it up with you."

Familiar landmarks... Maybe he'd see Tokyo Tower again, but he doubted the Shiba mansion would be one of them. It was a hope, but one that he wouldn't count on too strongly.

Lost his device. Matt instantly thought to Negi and Devlin stealing Phillip's Double Driver and turning into Kamen Rider W. That hadn't been fun to sort out. Nor was Ren amused because Devlin had stuffed Negi under the sink in a panic when he passed out.

Truth was often stranger than fiction and Matt found himself nodding. Typical superhero stuff for the most part since a lot of people barely remembered anyone especially if they wore a mask or something after that. "My place is pretty easy to find, and for newcomers that are invited to room in the dorms, I park the bus in front of the transport tubes to make things easier for everyone involved."

It had been hell to get the device back. He remembered fighting the changed Ayakashi in order to do so. And then he wasn't sure if Genta had been an idiot or a genius in order to get his own origami back. But it had gotten solved and all was better now.

"Alright. I shall inform ton- er, Takeru soon. Might I ask as to when the bus will be there? Also, do you think that the crew would mind Kabuki acting? And if what you have been saying is true, than I may be the only kabuki actor awake as of currently..."

"I usually park it in front of the transport tubes that lead from Obs to here, and then I park it in front of the park or the Jedi Temple," explained Matt. "Sometimes someone wants something new to see every morning, and it's not good to let a vehicle it for so long. Even a magical one."

At the acting, Matt grinned. "I certainly wouldn't say no to some legitimate cultural experience. I'm certain if you made a post on the Omnicom, you'd have people coming to see a performance. I would definitely make a point to see it."

"I... was asking when, not where... But thank you for telling me," Ryuunosuke replied, nodding. He listened to the rest of it before he blushed hard. "I-I might do that. I'll have to get some costumes first... but I... I'm sure I'll do that when I am more settled."

Making an actor blush... What would he do? How would he do it? There was so much to think about especially since it seemed he would be doing mostly solo performances.

"Rein," deadpanned Matt. "Rein Zwei, the Communications Officer. She runs the clothier and could most likely make you anything you need, provided she has the material to do so. She's been complaining things are getting low. I would also suggest going to her to get some clothing made up as well."

He looked around. No, no tiny flying girl anywhere. "She must have went somewhere."

"I was pointed to her earlier for clothes. I was planning on going to her as soon as I could... for some civilian clothes anyway." Ryuunosuke nodded at the end of the comment. "I'm sure she wanted to meet other new people."

Matt laughed a little. "I wouldn't doubt it. She's probably offering someone cookies by now."

"Is she a good cook?" He was just curious in this fact.

"Yeah she really is. She insists on helping out in the kitchen. Although these are probably the last of our cookies and materials to make it. It's all sensorium food from here." said Matt with a sigh.

"I see..." He gave a nod at this. This would be very interesting indeed.

Nodding, Matt grinned a little. At least today wasn't a total loss after all. "If there's any more questions, please feel free to ask."
