Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"Weeeell." Beastboy smirked, "There's an amusement park down in the city which is totally sweet! Then there's the bar if you wanna ya know, hang out, talk people up, maybe do some singing or story telling. I live at the Outsider's hotel where we have a pool and this big movie screen for movie night." He continued babbling while gesturing at the various images he was painting, "The Media libary is great if you like Cartoons or ya know...books. They have all kinds of stuff there."

Then he got an impish grin, "But the best place for fun as far as I'm concerned are the Sensoriums. They read your mind and create a world how you want it. You could be anywhere doing anything you want in there. It recreates it almost perfectly. You can touch, taste, even smell the world like you're really there."

Hardly a day went by that Beastboy didn't drop in for a few hours at least.

"Pool? Movies? Cartoons?" Midna had no idea what this kid was talking about. But she was fond of books. Guess Beastboy wasn't much of a reader.

"Oh yeah? Anything you want, huh?" This got her thinking. "So are you the resident expert on these Sensoriums? What if I wanted to see a super big castle, or fight a dragon? You're saying it could show me that, too?"

"Show it to you, let you feel the heat. The only thing it won't do is let you get hurt." He explained cheerfully. "I wouldn't say I'm an expert." He chuckled modestly, "But I love to go in there and mess around."

"Oh? Sounds like fun." And Midna's always up for a little fun. "I think I'll pay it a little visit, later. So what do you use it for?"

"Oh you know games, sports, training stuff. Like...um. OK think about the best story you ever heard. OK now imagine if you could live that story! That's the sort of stuff you can do."
