Meat n' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Speaking of Duo...she was yelling his name at the top of her lungs.
"DUO! DUOOO! DUO MAXWELL!" And she was loud. How else was she able to distract him from a scrapyard when they were on L2?

As much as he hated it, it was also too familiar a feeling. Dearka and Athrun missing ... he almost felt like a red-coat again, stuck on a ship with no power to do anything about it but accept that it happened.
The screaming broke him from his thoughts, and he looked up in the immediate direction of the one screaming. "Did she just..." Oh boy, Yzak thought. Losing his comrades and gaining somebody just as loud as the braided pilot. Pushing himself from the wall, he walked over to Hilde.
"Hey!" he called out between a yell.
no subject
Be thankful, Yzak, she may be loud, but she wasn't nearly as annoying as her braided friend. She was calmer than the other pilot and had no problem manhandling him if she had to. She had done it before.
"Yes?" she asked once he got close enough.

"I'm Hilde Schbieker," she said, introducing herself.
no subject
"But in the meantime, I guess I can answer any questions you have since you probably have a lot of them." While Yzak would help anybody out anyway, he found it easier to actually offer his help when dealing with anybody he or a friend of his knew. "He'll probably be happy to see you. I don't think anybody from his world has shown up until now."

"Are there mobile suits here?" she asked. She was a pilot herself and hoped that she'd have a suit to use.

"What!? What'd I do?" He worried aloud, head jerking about with a pout like a child being scolded. However, it only took him a second to register just whose voice was calling his name before he saw her in the crowd. Jaw dropping to the floor, he wasn't sure if he could believe his eyes.
If this wasn't real, it was a hell of a cruel joke.
"Hilde...!? HILDE!" He yelled right back, rushing towards her.

She then headed towards him. She wasn't sure if she would be able to see him alive after he ran off to fight the new threat that had showed up when Mariemaia had decided to declare war.
no subject
"You'll never believe all the crap I tell you about this place- well, I guess you will, cuz you'll see it too- but- you gotta see the hangar!" He began to talk quickly, tugging her closer.
no subject
"Duo, slow down. You're not making much sense. No, I'm the only one from the Colonies and Earth Sphere that woke up, at least, I hadn't found anyone else," she said as she stepped closer to him. You're acting like an exited teenage girl, Duo.
"A hangar? Is Deathscythe here?" She had to know.
no subject
But he is an excited teenage girl, Hilde."Yeah. In fact, both 'scythe and D-Hell," he snorted. "This ship is-- well, we'll talk about it later," he mumbled under his breath, seedily glancing around with an expression that briefly meant business. "But, 'scythe ain't the only Gundam around here, or even the only mobile suit- but none of the others are ours or OZ's suits. You'll see," he promised.
"More importantly, you're alright, aren't you? And, what's the last thing you remember from home?" he asked, looking unsure.
no subject
How was that possible? She knew about Deathscythe Hell, since she had been there while he finished building it.
"I'm fine Duo," she added a minute later at his questions. Speaking of the last thing she remembered...
"The last thing I remember is you running off to find Heero, then I find out that some kid declares war on the Earth Sphere. I didn't know what to do! You could have told me what you thought was going on and if you were going to fight! I could have helped you."
no subject
Looking sheepish, Duo rubbed the back of his braid. So, she was current after all- that was good. But boy, he knew he was in for an earful. "Babe, I'm sorry! It was an emergency. The Bartons, they're bad news- well, obviously. It's a bit of a story, but..."
Heaving a heavy sigh, he rested a hand on her shoulder again. "Sorry. There wasn't really much time to explain, and I was already out on a delivery route, so..."

"So?" he asked.

Duo gave the other pilot a playful grin. It wasn't going to be that easy, Yzak!
no subject
"Since it's obvious enough she's someone you know. Is she some sort of pilot, too?"
no subject
Duo raised a brow at Yzak. If he wanted to know about her past, it was going to have to come from her own mouth. It was a different matter entirely from asking about Duo's own relation to her.
"You should know better than to dig for information from me, much less on my own allies- c'mon, man."

He was being awfully tight-lipped about this, wasn't he.

"It would be easier to use your omnicomm to reach him," he finally stated. Not to mention it would be much quieter.
