Some Beach... [Totally OPEN!]
It was going to be like the much needed vacation stuck on a ship with people from all forms of live in the middle of the Black. What better way to take a quick break than to go to the sensoriums and ask Stacy for the most tropical place that she could think of that was crew friendly? It was perfect. That was all Gwen could say as she stretched out on her beach chair soaking up fake sun resting on the fake sand as the fake crystal blue water lapped at the empty beach.
Okay sure none of it was real but it was as close as the red head could get and she was going to enjoy every single minute of it. The fact that there was plenty of room for others to come and enjoy it was just what she possibly thought everyone needed. So Gwen had sent out a text over the waves for people to come on up and bring their sunscreen for the fun that could be had. There was a wetbar not far up nestled under the large palm trees and tropical plants with their own virtual bar tender, heck there was even a place to rent a surfboard or boogieboard if no one was daring enough to test the waves. Thankfully she had asked Stacy to leave the sharks out. No one wanted to reenact the movie Jaws while they were there.. she hoped. Even an empty volleyball court was just down the way waiting on someone to take up a game or three.
Everything was... perfect.
With a pleased little smile Gwen settled back against her chair only adjusting the large sunglasses once. Yep. This was the life.

He was staring out at the water, at the gently lapping waves, not even paying attention to where he was going, when he noticed out of the corner of his eyes that he was almost upon another visitor to the beach. He turned, about to open his mouth to say 'pardon me' when he realized who it was. Asuka. Tycho grimaced. She certainly wasn't going to be happy to see him.
Oh well, no reason not to be polite. "Pardon me, I didn't see you there," he offered carefully. Suddenly he felt very under-dressed, standing there in front of his 14 (14!) year old pilot. :|

"What do you want? Sir."
The sir sounded more like a threat then an actual title of respect.

He sighs as he looks down at Asuka- he takes in her swimsuit, and honestly, he isn't the least surprised by it. "It was entirely a coincidence my running into you here," he offers.

Tycho strolled further down the beach, until he came across another crew member, one that he didn't recognize.
"Hello," he offered, pausing as he held his hand up to his brow to keep the sun out of his eyes.

Xander tilted his head, something familiar, but he couldn't place it.
"Uh hey, how's it going?" He waved a hand back in greeting.

He'd been making sure to take walks every now and then, to keep his leg from getting stiff, and his current one led him into the Sensoriums. Luckily, he'd gotten past the light sensitivity stage, so the bright sunlight didn't make him want to kill himself, but he still had a niggling headache right behind his eyes.
...huh. Was this what an ocean beach looked like? He could feel the sunlight warming him up, less humid than the air he'd gotten used to inside Stacy, and the breeze had quite a few scents he didn't recognize on it. It was nice, actually. He could stay a while, enjoy the heat.

Whatever it was, it had definitely picked a pretty good spot for watching the bathing suit parade, and with his curiosity sufficiently piqued, he made the decision to stay- if only for a while.
Nice shades, by the way, Stacy. He added 'costume design in weird holographic environments' to the ever lengthening list of situations (not all sexual) where he'd be totally okay with mind reading- and sauntered over.

He noticed the human approaching him and tilted his head to one side slightly, "You're one of the new people, aren't you?"
no subject
"Yeah," he replied, examining the reptilian from behind the shades. "Tony. I take it you've been here a while?"

Staying in the beach chair, as charming as it had been, had become boring. There was a whole little tropical island to explore and things to do before giving up the room to someone else to play with. When Gwen had ventured off hoping to find another spot to explore she had spotted the draconian sitting up on one of the sand dunes just watching. Bright smile across her face, she was soon making her way up to where he was at. "Glad to see you could make it up here. Whatcha think so far?"

Quickly Gwen glanced up at Kang allowing a large smile to cross her face. "I saw this place in an add once in one of them Cortex channels before th' War. Always said I wanted t' go to a place like this..."

The sun is warm on Nura's lightly-tanned skin as she walks down the beach, just barely covered by her swim-wear (to be fair, the future has different styles on beach-wear) while scouting for a good spot to lay down her light blue towel and kick off her matching flip-flops.
Some sun is just what Nura needs to ease her nerves and let her forget all her worries for at least a little while. She isn’t going to let any of those troubling/confusing/some-what impossible/possible visions bother her today! Because today, Nura is going to forget that she’s a precog, and instead be a beach bunny.
"Ahh..." she says in satisfactory as she lays down her towel on a particularly key slope of sand, close to the shade of a tall palm tree, should she need it. Nura smoothes out the creases of the towel, and then lays down on it, nuzzling the towel and curling her toes against the sand.
The sun feels good on her back.
Here to both traumatize and arouse
very, very, verygood memories associated with them. The moment she stepped inside Stacy once again replaced her plantsuit with a somewhat embarrassing outfit.
Oh well, it was the beach.
Re: Here to both traumatize and arouse
As if Nura's swim-wear is any better...
After about a solid half-hour of soaking up the warm rays of the sun (albeit, fake sun rays by the standards of the sensoriums) Nura had decided to explore the beach, in, what 21st century vernacular considered, 'beach combing'. The sand is warm beneath her feet.
When she sees Wanda, she smiles warmly and gives the woman a friendly wave from the bottom of the slope of sand that Wanda stands at the top of. "Hey, ho, Wanda. Are you enjoying the beach?"

"It always seems that way, doesn't it?" she shakes her head, and then beams brightly. "My name is Nura Nal-Dox, but my teammates call me Dream Girl - I am a precog." She tilts her head, hair moving slightly to give the idea that Nura might not be wearing a swim top at all (there is no such thing as fear of nudity within the Legion).

Of course once glance around quickly said that there were others starting to invade the tropical paradise just as she had wanted. Good. After all the stuff going on, a chance to enjoy a little fun in the sun even if it wasn't real was needed. Lowering the sunglasses back as she shifted up in her seat gave her the chance to also study the Colonel's attire Stacy had picked for him. It was all Gwen could do ti keep from blushing. "Next best thing to the real deal hm?"

"I hope you're doing well," he continued. "How's the knee? Not bothering you anymore I hope?"
Tycho knows about his swimsuit Gwen. :| Thankfully he doesn't embarrass easily, and honestly has nothing to worry about about all the skin he's showing off right now. Tycho takes good care of himself.

A wry little smile worked its way across the red head's face as she reached out to nudge at his shoulder with a finger. "After all the lāshĭ with them nightmares we all need a real one."
