Settling into a new home after life in the TARDIS was, Amy imagined, fairly hard for anyone who had ever traveled in the little blue box. Already she missed the space that the TARDIS offered, the amenities that always seemed to be right there when needed, the reliable people constantly in and out.
But she and Rory needed space, especially as a couple soon-to-be-wed, and while Amy was quite fond of the influence and diversity the Doctor and other companions brought to Molly’s life, a TARDIS, with all its halls and swimming pools, was not going to be the best of places when Molly began crawling. A smaller space would be better for the small family, at least for a little while.
It didn’t mean Amy was finished with her box just yet, though. Topsy-turvy as it was, she still returned to see just what of their leftover belongings she could find to bring to the new house. Today was one such trip. It wasn’t hard to find a babysitter for Molly, and her day had opened up just enough to allow a quick trip up to the TARDIS to check on things. With a few bags in hand--just in case something good had turned up since her last visit--Amy headed through the halls of Stacy toward the Hangar.
Time for some shopping.
[[ OoC: Feel free to encounter her anywhere between the City and the TARDIS. Just specify the place and maybe the time (catching her headed there or on the way back). ]]

If there was one thing that made Miyako stand out amongst the second generation Chosen Children, it would be the fact that she was one of the smartest of the bunch. Keyword here: one of. There was also Ken, but she'd let that slide. Right now, she was using her smarts to do what she does best:
Tinker.
A brief search across the City had lead Miyako to discover a leftover desktop computer. However, the lack of power supply (or rather, the lack of plugs to slap the machine in) has lead Miyako to get creative and had her in Engineering to do something.
"Just what did you have in mind, Miyako-san?" Hawkmon asked, his wings crossed over his chest.
"Simple - if I can get this computer working, maybe I can start trying to build a Digi Port!" Miyako said, digging through some tools.
"Miyako-san, that's dangerous! You don't know if the Digital World survived and even if it did, this ship's too dangerous to attempt it!" Hawkmon said.
"Even so, we have to try!" Miyako replied, pulling out a strange device. "...what the heck is this?"
"...see? This is why doing this is next to impossible!" Hawkmon said. "We don't know what this stuff can do!"
"...jeez, you're such a party pooper! I'm going to do this anywayyyEEEEEEE!" Miyako yelped, the odd device shocking her. Dropping it, it took her awhile to recover, not caring that her hair just frazzled and parts of the plantsuit were damaged by the shock. "...okay, we need real tools here!"

Sakura look a left turn between two disparate pieces of architecture, eyes sliding over them both without truly appreciating what they saw. An inventory of places that were problematic for being hiding spots, possible ambush zones, tactical advantages in territory ran though her mind, along with figures and numbers for things she kept track of to make sure her thoughts weren't allowed much time to wander.
As it was, they were still getting away from her, heavy with emotions and logical conclusions that played off loyalty and desire to protect all at once. It left her looking pensive as she walked through the city, making her way toward the Great Wall of a country she would never see.

When he'd first arrived, Cazali had sort of scoffed at the use of something like the sensorium. It was all all a lie, and indulging in a fake reality was pretty disgusting. Of course, he'd indulged once or twice for fun, and...quickly found it wasn't nearly as horrible as he'd thought. Which totally didn't mean he was warming up to it, no way.
But one day, he got an idea. His core medals- he hadn't yet gone to harass security about their return, and part of him didn't know why he was hesitating. Maybe it was hopelessness, or maybe he just needed to remember why his medals were so vital. So, he'd strolled in to the sensorium- bringing Besel with him, setting the confused kitten on the ground -and concentrated. The setting was barely a thought- it was just default blue sky, default grassy field, nothing special.
Cazali was more intent on remembering each of his medals individually, two through nine. With each new medal his body changed, growing stronger and more armored, coloring returning slowly- until he finally absorbed the ninth, and he felt that familiar surge of power. But it was a lie, and he had to remind himself of that as he looked his nearly-completed form over. This was just the illusion working. He hadn't actually gotten his medals back, of course.
The Greeed sighed, letting himself fall backwards to lie on the grass (and missing Besel by a few inches). Was his desire for completion returning...? Not really. He just felt sort of lukewarm about it still. What the hell was wrong?

Which is what Xander was trying to do in his shop at the moment. Recent shore leaves helped him shore up even more supplies. Which was a great thing since it seemed like he was getting orders all the time from people for furniture or help in their homes in the city. Some of the rides on the last one weren't bad. But he had to admit the western themed world was even better. He even got some spurs.
Uh not that he had special plans with those or anything. It's just part of the outfit. Right.

The Metacrisis Doctor is restless. That's not very unusual, really. He's often varying shades of restless or impatient, it's part of who he is, and it's not something that's gone away as a Metacrisis so much as it's changed shape. His restlessness and impatience was on a far grander scale than it is now, for instance. So far, he's managed to live a fairly domestic life with Rose in a home that doesn't move constrained usually to one planet. His old self would never be able to handle that, but sitting still and paying attention to things, or lazy Sunday afternoons drive him mad.
He's more restless than usual now. If he believes everything he's been told (and it's a stretch to say he does, but saying so) then his new universe, his life, even his Rose are gone, and the only hope of getting them back in one piece is finishing this mission. Yet the ship seems to stop as often as a luxury liner on a tourist show across the omniverse. Or something equally slow and aggravating.
He's spent far too long this time standing in the obs deck, glaring down the stars and willing them to start moving again. It's getting a bit ridiculous even for the man who's trying to stare down stars.
Eventually, he fled to the City. It's almost Earth-like, and to his dimmed (and somewhat desperate) senses, it reminds him of the home he's apparently got to retroactively save. If any of that is true. Which he hasn't really decided on yet.
For now, he sits under a tree, watches people pass, and waits for Stacy to start moving again.

Thanks to Transmigration 9's crew, Geartopia was fairing much better than a few days ago. The Mayoress having support of her townsmen in near full now thanks to what they had uncovered allowed for most people to go hide into the farms on this day, while everyone else prepared their guns, polished their boots and readied their steam-powered weapons and horses. The air today was dry, with not a cloud in sight. Another typical arid desert afternoon. Tumbleweed passed by in the city, undaunted by such crazy theatrics that were about to play out. What they didn't quite expect nor grasp was Snidley's entire plan. They knew of the planned attack. They just didn't know how much he didn't care even for his own men planted there. First came and earthquake. Or rather, what felt like one. If they looked up at the mountains surrounding the towns, they might notice, slowly, more and more red dots appearing and running down and down towards the city. Shepofalant were, by trade, a very peaceful animals, so much so that most of them had been allowed to stay in gigantic herds of ten of thousands. It made hunting for their meat and clothing that much easier, considering how they could survive practically anywhere. However, when one allows such things to happen, the consequences can be deadly, if used by the right people with twisted minds. " Stampede!" Someone yelled out, breaking the silence as they watched. The townsmen moved frantically, trying to get everyone out of the way. They expected men with guns, not this first wall of frantic, bleating creatures who aren't sure where they are going, just away from what scared them off. Everything stands to be run down by their hooves, buildings, crops...people. There is simply too many animals to shoot everything down without causing the entire ecosystem to crash. "The farms! We have to go to the farms! Most of the children and the elderly have been kept there!" [OOC - OKay here's how it's going down. During this phase, there will be giant creatures descending in mass, that should, perhaps, remind you a bit of this scene from the Lion King. The Sensoriums are decorated like the most well-tended and enthusiastically holiday-oriented suburb Southern California could have created. Jack-O-Lanterns grin out from driveways and porches; smoke machines belch out onto the sidewalk; orange-tinted Christmas lights twinkle from the rooftops. A loop of Halloween-themed music, from the Monster Mash to Thriller, plays over the scene.
Eva knows there aren't many children on Stacy, but that doesn't mean that the ones here shouldn't have the occasional holiday. Just because they lack a calendar doesn't mean they lack a festive spirit. Besides, almost all kids like candy and she was able to purchase plenty at the theme park and in Geartopia.
Each house has some hologram families giving out candies and chocolates, as well as small toys and little origami animals. Every hologram is dressed up in a ridiculous costume of some sort.
She flits from house to house, imagining up little details to add, dressed in an orange prison jumpsuit she finds unbearably humorous. After sending out a message on the channels, she waits for guests to arrive.

Artificial night fell on the City, and Goliath and Bronx both awoke with their usual roars. The gargoyles bursting out of their stone skin were a familiar sound at sunset, and their roars carried over the darkening City.
Goliath dropped from his turret and glided towards the wall that surrounded the castle, landing before the gate that would open it to the rest of the crew. Elisa must have still been asleep or otherwise occupying herself in the castle, because the gate was closed. Goliath considered the gates, and the high, newly repaired wall that kept most visitors out of the castle. His instincts to keep the castle fortified against entry during his sleep were still strong, but he considered them as objectively as possible while examining the gate.
In times of conflict, this castle COULD still be used as a fortress. But if he was to open it to the crew formally, perhaps it was time to leave them open, and trust to the crew that he sought to protect.
Or perhaps that was still a step that could wait until he had met more of the crew, and trusted them a little better.

Deep from the dank, dark bowels of the Media Library... IT CAME! FROM THE CELLULOID! Five terrible movies guaranteed to give you CHILLS! THRILLS! Or maybe just, I dunno, a vague sense that the universe has wronged you somehow and you want several hours of your life back. Today, anyone walking into this particular Sensorium would be greeted by the sight of a late 20th century darkened movie theatre, playing a quintuple-feature consisting of old Earth movies that were honestly not very good. At the bottom of the seating area was some dude giving out free popcorn, candy, and drinks. Howard, Zouichi, Allenby, and Jr. were around, and anyone else was welcome to walk in and join in. [each of the movies is listed below, just tag in wherever you want. I put a small link in each movie's post so you can have some idea of what the movie is about, although honestly I would say that the movies themselves often do not actually know what they are about. Welcome, dear visitor, to a world consisting entirely of plastic-looking city sets. My, don't they look ready to blast apart at a moment''s notice? It's almost as if an attack is expected in this sector.
But not to worry! The 'attacks' here are just goofy entertainment. Lovably laughable employees in dull green suits may make menacing gestures at times, but they're just a nuisance. The visitors to this section are protected by the Masked Rangers, the people in heavy helmets and spandex suits you might see from time to time. The acrobat-types, the ones in the flimsy suits, perform tricky stunts and wave 'blasters' that shoot a cheap spark effect from time to time. Driver-types wear heavier armor and traverse this section of the park in their specialized motorcycles, zipping down specialized roadways seemingly from nowhere.
Other than that, the environment is fairly industrial. The main attractions are in the 'abandoned warehouse district'. It features greasy food (and surprisingly good smoothies, strangely enough), alarm bells every now and then, and the crowning ride of this sector: an exciting cart ride through the warehouses that culminates in riding atop a giant mecha. The vibrations as the mech carrying the vehicle shoots its lasers are quite unsettling the first time or two, and riding through the smoke cloud of a post-henshin explosion can cause mild fits of coughing. This adventure is not for the faint of heart.
Simpler shows are done in the park-like area, where a few of the more acrobatic employees in helmets and flimsy costumes seems to dance-fight with several of the mooks. It's a cute show, and the only exciting thing is the spread of the explosion. It shoots up in a rainbow of colors when the heroes make a pose. Games can be played here, but always be ready to clear out and make way for the heroes! A little parade of motorcycles and mecha comes through several times a day, and masked characters address the audience with well-prepared safety tips and suggestions for community service.
Gift shops in this area feature knockoff Masked Ranger costumes, transformation toys that light up, toy mecha and motorcycles that combine in many very expensive combinations, and little sparkler lights. Fortunately, actual material for an explosion is not sold.
This nonsense might feel strangely familiar... - Tags:!location: planetside, !plot: shore leave, !status: open, billy cranston, kon-el, mark allan/molten man, phillip, shoutarou hidari, tenaya, tetsuwan atom/astro boy, tim drake/red robin

While Serenity had weathered the last fight amazingly well given she'd been plunged into the midst of a war to devour an entire world, both the damage from the fight, and the Firefly's own advanced age and at times cheaply funded state of repair, meant it was time for Mal to go scrounging for parts for his home.
Of course, there were probably plenty of facilities on Stacy that would have been able to supply him with who knew what futuristic wonders, but given he still had yet to get used to feeling like his clothes were trying to digest him, he wasn't letting any of that biotech crap anywhere near his girl. Of course, that meant he had to go for the alternative, plunging deeper into the City than he had gone before, to find something he could scavenge, preferably without getting shot at by a put out owner. Using the Drunken Dragon as a starting point, he'd made the decision to start out by making his way south, into the areas that had been less well documented by the crew. With any luck, he would be able to find something usable that wasn't claimed by anyone.
Of course, given how his luck usually went, he'd also brought along his gun, just in case. Slinging a large bag for any small portables he might find, he checked his makeshift map and stepped away from the tavern.
"Gonna be a nice simple walk. Find the place, mark it, get out. Nice and simple."
Talking to himself probably wasn't a good sign.

Atom zoomed through the sky of the City, the rocket thrusters in his boots cutting a bright blue trail through the open air. He glided under archways, skimmed a hand along the water of the River, zigzagged along streets and between abandoned buildings with dizzying speed. He found a sagging building and used a nearby fallen beam to shore it up; he came across a half-destroyed statue and carefully retrieved its missing head, placing it by the statue in case someone came along who could fix it. When he came to a stop, it was in an immense building, with high windows, ticket counters, and darkened lights. He recognized this place! He'd been here once; it was Grand Central Terminal. Now, however, there were no passengers milling about, waiting for their friends or family to arrive. He flew upward, perching on a nearby stone railing. Thracia, huh...? It brought back memories. Some new, some old... and some painful. [Takes place anywhere in the City, please specify if you want a particular location -- else it will be in Grand Central.]

Rin's arrival unto Stacy had been well received for the most part. He easily overlooked things, didn't notice others, and his usual naive/oblivious demeanor kept him unfocused and uninterested as far as the details of their current predicament were. To him, this just seemed like a weird, new themed attraction, then he learned that they were in some war with another group of people who needed help. To someone like Rin, all he needed was the basest of information and he'd do what needs to be done... The Precinct had a lot of meeting rooms. Dick had signs up pointing to the largest one, since there was never any telling how many people would end up at the meeting. There were chairs scattered around in a vaguely circular arrangement, though they could be moved around as people liked.
Dick himself stood at the front, omnicomm in hand and trying to keep track of what was going on. He was leaning back against a table with two seats behind it. Right now, it was just waiting for people to arrive.

"Reducto!" Cedric had found a spot in the grass of this strange city's park from which to work on his spellcasting, starting with some target practice. He'd pushed back the sleeves of his plantsuit as far as was possible and made long movements with his wand, alternating between creating fast streams of bubbles and shooting them down. The almost childish game of bubble-popping was a simple diversion from the stream of thoughts that was flowng just as fast, one that hadn't stopped since the moment he realized he was alive: I'm about to die. It was hard to comprehend, when it seemed like his life had been going so well just hours ago. Yet these Ohm had thrown everything off balance. Cedric had gone straight to Stacy to ask for his memories restored, as he'd never rest until he knew the truth of what happened. It had been just as hard to remember as that unicorn princess had predicted. Sure, the curse that was meant to kill him had been thrown off by another attack, but he'd heard awful yells. Harry's. When the sedation had worn off and he'd opened his eyes, he'd had to struggle not to scream. ( Innocence had died for all of them. )
