Departmental Meeting: Security

The Precinct had a lot of meeting rooms. Dick had signs up pointing to the largest one, since there was never any telling how many people would end up at the meeting. There were chairs scattered around in a vaguely circular arrangement, though they could be moved around as people liked.

Dick himself stood at the front, omnicomm in hand and trying to keep track of what was going on. He was leaning back against a table with two seats behind it. Right now, it was just waiting for people to arrive.

People filling in for the meeting could mill around while they were waiting.

As he'd promised to Dean, Atom showed up at the Precinct to go through some 'training exercises'. He wasn't sure what those involved, but it sounded like his ability to join Security might come down to some physical tests.

He looked around curiously at his surroundings and the people gathered there.

Tim nodded to the boy he'd been speaking to before, upon seeing him there as well. "I take it you spoke to the heads," he said. He seemed to be a good 'kid,' so it was good they were giving him a chance at least. Besides, any help at all counted for something.

"Yep. Mr. Winchester told me to come down here." Boy, did Tim always wear that costume? He seemed a lot like the police officers back home, come to think of it. Sort of gruff, not too talkative, skeptical.

"He mentioned something about training exercises."

Tim nodded to that, a small sign of approval. "Understandable. Considering the... age restrictions." Even if they apparently didn't technically apply here. "You should have a fair shot."

Zouichi glanced through those gathering at the Precinct, picking out both new faces and ones he'd seen around for a while. It was impossible to greet everyone that arrived during each pod release, of course, but at the very least, he could acquaint himself with those he'd be working with.

Much as he didn't want to wrest himself from working on Querl's situation, Shoutarou figured that he should actually come to this thing and see just who all else was in the department. It'd be nice to know who he could call on, after all, and put some names to some faces.

Atom looked curiously up at the man in the fedora. You never really saw those any more, except in old films. "Hi. Do you work here?"

Shoutarou blinked, then looked down to where the voice came from. A kid?

The detective squats down a bit, then nods at Atom. "Yeah, I do - you need some help with something?"

"No, not really. Mostly I just came here to talk to Dean Winchester. And maybe see Jr. and that guy from before with the motorcycle."

Dean wanted to get Cas settled in at the house so it was a few minutes before he jogged in. Got some good new prospects for the team it looked like, and looked forward to seeing them here.

He gave a wave to Dick and the other regulars before finding a corner to casually lean against at the front. Carefully eying the newcomers critically.

Oh, there he was. Atom made his way over to where Dean was leaning against the wall.

"Dean Winchester?"

Dean nodded, and gave him a dubious look.

"You the robo boy on the comms?"

Atom was used to that look. Police officers gave it to him all the time. He held out a hand to Dean anyway, smiling.

"That's me. I'm Atom. Tetsuwan Atom."

Elisa recognised the man that she'd had spoken to on the omnicom and, after giving him a moment to greet a few other people, headed over to introduce herself.

"Dean Winchester? I'm Elisa."

Dean smiled, and offered his hand. Sure she was good looking but after the mess with Kaylee, he wasn't looking for even one night stands for a while, "That's me, Detective, welcome.

While Chris usually was very punctial, he had only recently been released from Glados' mazes and as such he was comepletely off his normal temperment. He always had his Advent Deck in his jacket's pocket just in case. With Security now headed up by two different people than before, Chris just took his seat without a word quietly.

Jr. dropped into one of the seats by the table, figuring the sooner they were all there and comfortable, the sooner they could start.

Tim, while he was splitting his time between quite a few projects, was still naturally punctual and attentive. He nodded to his 'brother' briefly, and glanced at the other regulars he knew in the room, but he otherwise stayed to himself, leaning against one wall quietly.

Goliath was glad the meeting had been scheduled during his waking hours. It was a convenient opportunity to introduce Elisa to the Security team, if not all at once, then at least in significant number.

Although it was first time that Elisa had visited the precinct, the building reminded her of her home away from home back in New York. She half expected to bump into Captain Chavez on her way to her office or find Matt waiting for her with a cup of coffee and their latest case file. It was fortunate, really, that the threat of homesickness was outweighed by her eagerness to actually do something. She wanted to be part of this fight and security was what she was best at it. Being a cop was in her blood.

She kept her eyes peeled as she entered the meeting room after Goliath, eager to meet her new allies.

Red was definitely one of the newer recruits. He didn't want to spend time doing nothing, and the comm post had caught his eye.

He was in the back.

Dean stepped forward, "Got some new recruits, welcome aboard. Right now, we got some guests by way of the Dalgig. Keep an eye on them. Closely."

He then added, "Got something been working on that should help all of us, new and old. Finalized the database of threats we've had on board including the Ohm, and set up a simulation in the Sensoriums. Encourage everybody to check it out, and get familiar. The way shit hits the fan around here we should all be ready."
