Jade was pretty sure that hydroponics was her favorite spot on the ship. There were weird animals, but... in a way, it reminded her of her island! Kinda, at least. She loved all of the plants she saw. At the moment, she was taking a break from wandering through the area and sitting on the grass, taking in the sights and sounds of the animals around her. It seemed like it might be a good place to sleep, too-- the grass was comfortable, just like the grass back home had been, and she was more than happy to relax on the grass. If she closed her eyes, she could imagine that she was back on the island and that she'd have a chance to talk to her friends through pesterchum like always.
She was pretty tired-- she had spent a lot of time searching the ship in an attempt to find Dave or the trolls in case they hadn't seen her message, but... no luck. It made her a little sad! And that's why she had gone to hydroponics. It gave her a chance to relax for a little while, and because of how tired she was, she fell asleep pretty quickly.
She hadn't meant to - there was still a lot to explore - but she couldn't help it. And when she had fallen asleep, she hadn't realized that she had fallen asleep on what was a commonly walked path through the area.

Giving Jade a half smile, he raised his hand in greeting. "Hey there." Gabe said. "So, do you always do this?" He added, giving a small chuckle.

The very tall Draenei hunkered down, nudging the girl on the shoulder.
"I know this is very calming but, in the middle of a path is probably not the best place to sleep? Perhaps to one side. And there is always the tree by my garden! There is shade there!"
Of course there were also a couple of people who knew where her garden was, but the shaman doubted that any of them would wake up a sleeping human child if the girl chose to sleep there.

She seemed nice, at least! So she wasn't scared of her or anything like that.
"I'm sorry, was I in your way? I didn't mean to be!"
no subject
"I did not startle you too badly, I hope? I keep forgetting that with the recent pod openings that there are probably those who have never seen a Draenei before!"

Dead, or sleeping?
Dead would be a more interesting turn of events, for sure.
"Don't worry, sister, I know CPR!" he yells, turning Jade over. Because that is clearly the appropriate response to the situation.

"Wait-- I don't really need CPR!"

"You just decided to take a dirtnap in the green?"

But then, he finally saw something that took the fucking cake when he rounded a bend. There was a girl just dozing in the middle of the path. Really? He raised a dirt caked shoe and nudged her with it. "Hey! Wake up! You're in the middle of the damn road!"

From what she could tell as she approached, the human appeared to be resting. Its eyes were closed, for one, and breathing didn't sound impacted. Too steady, so likely not in pain. Of course, it could have knocked itself out, but she wasn't well equipped to carry things even if Esplin had been inclined at all to care.
Since he wasn't, he bunched up her muscles, preparing to leap over Jade and keep on his trot through Hydroponics.

The big white dog sat in front her of her and barked.

< Hello, > she said, fully intending to go around the both of them, tail held at ready should the animal decide to get ideas. < Really this is very unnecessary. If you don't mind, I'd like to be going through. >
