Sooo...Meet-y
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

Some how, I don't think I'm in Arakeen anymore...
As stepped through the door, accepting her new, strange items, and fallowing the other. Despite her inner confusion her face was a flawless picture of calm and serenity, the eyes that marked her as a fremen, blue with in blue, scanned the other around her from behind lowered lids.
There was confusion, a slight, but relatively handsome man near her was talking about ships and 'sy-lawns', whatever that was. Surely there was no where in the known universe where she would not be known, she was St Alia of the Knife! The emperor regent, ruler of the whole universe...
Then someone in the crowd caught her eye, not even a someone but the flash of spice eyes... but... who's?
Alia strained to look deeper at the people around her, but found herself overwhelmed by the mass of unknown faces.
But then, she could have been wrong.

An Atreides did appear, just not the one she had been hoping for. Alia, her aunt.
Feeling a mixture of emotions, Ghani slowly rose to her feet. Taking a deep breath, she steadied herself and pushed through the crowd, making her way to the Aunt she'd thought she'd never see again.
She wasn't sure what she'd say to her. Would she be the abomination Ghani had last seen her as?
"Aunt... Alia?" Ghani called out softly as she approached the other Atreides. Alia looked so much younger than she remembered.

Aunt?!
Alia looked the girl over with a harsh eye despite her shock.
"I have but one niece, and she is no more than an infant child." She paused, openly studying the girl with no effort to hide her intent.

"Yes, I am aware of you having but one niece and one nephew," Ghani's expression softened a little. "I am Ghanima," she told her simply, knowing that Alia would know she spoke no lies. "Though I am from what is your future."
no subject
She could not even see the future, and yet.. here she was facing it.
"but... how?" The word came slowly from her chapped lips, blue eyes wide at the girl.
Suddenly the fury rose inside of her mind, like a storm kicked up by the flutter of a butterflies wings a thousand miles away. It screamed through her mind, a million voices crying at once.
Your brother traded his life for hers... One voice whispered.
But in the face of her niece she could not respond, she held herself in deadly check.

Alia Atreides. The Womb of Heaven. St. Alia of the Knife. Regent. Preborn. Abomination.
She approached cautiously, readying a diplomatic expression. She parted her hands in the Fremen respectful greeting. "Greetings to you, Alia Atreides."

"Subakh ul kuhar."

"Who brought me here? I was under no impression that i had a relocation in my agenda. It is a bit shock, but surely Duncan is here with me. Where is my husband?"

"You have my welcome, Alia Atreides," she murmured, flicking her eyes to meet the woman's. "I am Arha Masaari."
no subject
"I am welcome where ever I go, child." Alia did not even bother to call her by her name. What an insolent child to address her so. "I do not need your blessing. This is my galaxy." And that she brushed passed the girl, and walked away, her head held high.
And deep inside a voice chuckled lovingly in her ear.

She dropped her hands, but stood there, watching Alia float away. It would not be the first time she had been rebuffed, nor would to be the last, for she was a faceless Fremen, and lost to time itself. No one remembered the silent healer but the sands of Arrakis and the Seitch that would, eventually, share her water.
But Alia would have her welcome anyway, whether she wished it or not, and Arha wished it fiercely.

Nanoha smiled at her. "Hello," she said, tilting her head to the side. "Are you new here? I'm Nanoha."

"Subakh ul Kuhar. I'm Alia Atreides." And she said no more, waiting for the weight of her name to sink on on the strange girls. Little did she know, it would mean nothing here, and she was much, much farther from home than she could ever imagine.

But when placed among stranger it is better to make allies than enemies.
"The pleasure is all mine." Alia smiled softly, prettily, carefully calculating the movement of even the slightest muscles in her body. "Tell me young Na-no-ha," She formed each syllable carefully, their melody was not one Alia was familiar with. "Where are my men? The priests? My husband? Are they here?"

"Hello." Alia smile sparkled, she beamed at him with adoration and curiosity. She always did have a thing for good looking men.
"Subakh ul Kuhar." She greeted him in her Fremen tongue, but did not introduce herself, still assuming she was Empress that surely everyone must know.

"I'm afraid that's all I know," He smiled, ducking his head with a warm smile, "I am Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Welcome aboard."

Instead she grabbed her newly bestowed kris knife, and drew it holding it between herself and the frighting blue creature in shoes.
Spacing guild navigators had nothing on this freakish beast.
"I haven't an idea what you think you're doing, but so help me, should you come closer, I'll have you water."

There wasn't even a gust of wind to register Sonic's movement. The wind only came after Sonic had already been standing behind Alia for almost three seconds. "--you better think again. We're all in this mess together, and attacking people isn't the way to go."

"Hello," he said, voice friendly. "Sorry for asking so bluntly, but are you a Bene Gesserit too?"
no subject
Alia was started by his sudden arrival but refused to let it show on her carefully controlled face.
"Hello." She looked him over, even as he asked the question. Rage instantly build in the back of her mind, but she quelled it only to sharp tongued words.
"I know their secrets, but you will not find my name on the order's list of 'sisters'." Alia took a step back, making her offense obvious.
