Sooo...Meet-y

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

"Our captor...Or savior and recruiter as she would prefer to be known...Is the Thinking Machine known as Stacy. According to what we have been told by her and her allies, we were plucked from our home universes as they were devoured by the Ohm." When she mentioned Duncan, a spike shot through her heart. She thought she'd left those feelings behind a long time ago, but they came up to the fore like a Spice-blow. "If Duncan Idaho is here, he has not been removed from his pod. There are only three others from our universe here and awake, besides the two of us."

First there was a thinking machine. The biggest abomination before the laws of the orange catholic bible.
Secondly there was no Duncan.
And third, there where 3 other fremen women here that she did not know.
This was not her universe.
This was not her time.
Alia was not the Empress of this space. She was not... anything... and if her home was devoured by this strange 'ohm' and Duncan was not here...

Her hand came to cover her mouth her shock apparent. No amount of training could hold back the shock she felt just then.

"Dose that mean their water is lost?"

That was something Sheeana had given a lot of thought to. "Stacy has told us that there may be hope. But I operate as if this were not the case. It was a lucky thing then that shai-hulud did come with us."

She saw the shock. It was genuine. It would be too much then for her to tell Alia that the Rakis of her time had been destroyed by the Honored Matres.

So they did have spice. This was good to know. Death was not immanent.
But... Their home was lost.
Alia had only just lost her brother to the desert, and not to find her husband gone, her home. Arakkis... lost.
It was a powerful thing to have to understand. Every love and companion she had, was now gone, perhaps, forever.

The walls and floors and ceiling suddenly felt like a noose, she would die here, strangled by the steel and glass. Already Alia longed for the desert with all her being, to ride the worm into the deep sands like the fremen she was. Or rather, used to be.

She could say nothing, as there was nothing to be said. Shock devoured her words like the guild did her spice.

"What becomes of us now?"

"I have made plans. Our people will survive. Where there is the worm, there will eventually be the desert." Bene Gesserit training did not allow for optimism or pessimism. Sheeana said this because she believed, with all the evidence weighed, that this was the probable outcome.

Yes, we carry the revenant of Dune within our souls.
