1st-Apr-2010 07:06 pm - 'Meat' 'n Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a green-skinned alien and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

Indigo stands in the hallways, hands clasped behind her back. She doesn't pace, she doesn't weave or bob around. It's like she's a statue, waiting for someone to pass before her disdainful look. She's outside the Spacewalk's doors.

She doesn't expect that many people. Perhaps three Science personnel. Two or three from Security. Not much trouble. A small part of her wishes that more people were here to observe the opening of both the Spacewalk and Hydroponics, but the more logical part crushes that. If the creatures are dangerous, it would be wiser not to have any other crewmembers around.

So, she waits.
18th-Mar-2010 04:28 pm - Let Sleeping Precogs Lie

It is Nura's usual sensorium request: the Lab Complex of Legion HQ with Holo-Querl and added Holo-Lyle moving around with the intent of completing the current task at hand. The machines are humming, the boys are conversing heatedly about the work that needs to be done, and the data that needs to be gathered, with plans on how they can gather such data.

The only one who is not in the buzz of work is the sleeping precog.

Nura is curled up, fast asleep, in Querl's big comfy hovering chair, in front of the monitor. She has been asleep for awhile now; Holo-Querl and Holo-Lyle are careful to not speak so loudly near her general direction, or jostle the chair when they pass by.

Someday, Steve vowed, he would come out of a major crisis without needing to be thrown in isolation afterwards. That was his next goal. But the moment he and Miku dragged each other to medical after things had quieted down and the doctors in the know saw him with open wounds, he'd been shoved off and thrown in contagion containment within minutes.

In typical Stacy fashion, the quarantine cells looked more like thin, clear membranes halfway absorbed as "bubbles" in the walls. There was a small bed in the corner and enough room to walk at least four or five paces back and forth. Little tentacles could appear from the walls to perform medical tasks, which was creepy as hell, but at least his wounds had been bandaged and now it didn't outwardly look like there was much wrong with him. He sat on the bed, shirt off, staring at the ceiling and idly scrolling around on his omnicom.

Still, even if quarantine was boring, it was unarguably better than after the last big catastrophe when he'd been clinging to life and restrained in the medbay. At least he could move around in here. And at least he had his omnicom and his hands free.

Not to say Steve wouldn't have appreciated some company.

2nd-Feb-2010 09:25 pm - Do you wanna date my Avatar? [Open]
[[ Aside from being shot for using that title...]]

First things first. Grace was taking a look at the facilities she'd be using in the future. Neuropathy had been interesting and the Medbay had also intrigued her - the lab set-up here would probably be more conducive to some of the things she might end up doing - genetic analysis, studying samples from Stacy herself, the plantsuits. However, Contagion had proven the most invaluable (although she'd no idea why it was called that). A full genetics lab and analysis set-up. That would prove invaluable. It was as extensive (more, in fact) then the setup she'd had on Pandora. Quite a bit of the equipment looked completely unfamiliar to her, but she could learn. She'd learned before and she'd do it again. As she pressed further into the facility, she caught the glimpse of something floating in a tank. A murky, indistinct shape that solidified as she approached. She recognized it.

"...oh my God."

Her face slowly split into a tight-lipped smile. It made a certain degree of sense - if they'd snatched her up, why not her Avatar as well? And if the body were here, that meant the rest of the equipment was somewhere on the ship. She wasn't sure what she'd need it for at the moment - but it was good to know that they had elements of the Avatar program aboard. Maybe it would prove useful in the future.

Anyone who wandered deeper into Contagion would find her examining the tank curiously and trying to access data records - when had these got here?

[ooc: Newbie Helpers List | Instructions: Post your character with one post establishing them as being podpopped. Tag each other in groups of 2's, 3's, and 4's, to get some interaction to start with. If a thread doesn't already have 2 or 3 people tagged in, tag it with your character's podpop popping near the other people, rather than making a new subthread. If you would like to play out them talking to the AI, please send an email to the mods making the request--we do this only by request. Then move onto the big Newbie Meeting. Once your character has gotten the rundown from the old crew, you may start posting entrance posts and freely tagging.]

||Pod Release Protocols Initating|| Stacy's familiar voice sounds out to all the podmates through the ship.

In the Pod Caverns, there are the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.

There is condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slide out onto the floors, covered in slime.
