Meat n' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Knowing someone didn't make it that much easier though. He stood quietly with her, hugging his best friend for all she was worth.
"You are strong enough, Kimberly. I know you are. Who was it that patiently trained me to keep my balance, showed me how to act appropriately, and saved us from the Terror Toad, huh?"
He brought her close, gently rubbing her shoulder. "You've been strong enough all along---I've wanted to see you again so badly because I knew you'd be a great asset to us and a wonderful friend. It's painful, and I miss Jase, Tommy, Trini, and Zack as much as you do. I worry about everyone I've met here too, but we can win, Kimberly. Let's walk one step at a time."

"I did take on that disgusting toad, didn't I?" she smiled and leaned into Billy. He really was a good friend, at least she had him in case things got to complicated.

As for settling in? He'd outline the steps, not make it sound so overwhelming. "All you need to do is relax and get to know the ship, Kim. We have training with the other Rangers sometimes, and you're definitely invited there, but the food and board are free. You can trade small favors to have clothes made for you, and all the facilities are yours to use at any time."
He thought on the next item for a moment. "Finding a home is easy. You can have a room in the crew quarters, either by yourself or with a roommate. My friend Kaya runs a hotel for teen superheroes that you'll be welcome at, and I live with my girlfriend in a neighborhood down here. There are a few empty cottages next to ours that you can have."
Uh...yeah, he had a girlfriend. First time mentioning that.

"Whoa!" Kimberly caught that last part loud and clear. She looked up to Billy and leaned away in shock. "Okay stop, rewind and repeat." There was a little smile growing on her face. "A girlfriend?!" There was excitement in her voice as she playfully slapped Billy in the arm.

"...yeah. We've been together for the past while, and it's really been special to me. Her name's Ronnae, and we work together in Engineering," Billy introduced, opening a little wallet he carried on his belt. Yes, he'd started carrying pictures.
The one he carried in his wallet featured a girl of about Kim's height held in Billy's arms. Except for her emerald green skin, little protruding fangs, and elf-tipped ears, she could've been human. She sported long red pigtails and a charming smile, one that matched the loving boyfriend's fro just behind her.

"Billy, I'm so happy for you" She said again stretching her arms around him in a tight hug. He had been shy around girls back home and now he's dating one, a green one at that! "She's a total cutie. When can I meet her?"
no subject
It was hard to restrain himself from gushing about her. "She's really sweet, a great cook, a dancer, and we're officially married on at least one planet," Billy admitted. "The things we're required to do for missions around her can be...odd."
no subject
"I'm sure she's great." she sounded great. For the first time Kimberly saw how much Billy had grown into his own here. He was forced to. It wasn't a bad thing and he did look happy.
"I really do have to meet her. Oh, we can be shopping buddies." There were shops here, right? "We can do each other's hair and share stories. This is going to be so much fun." Fun at Billy's expense.

Uh oh. He realized then that it wasn't Kimberly talking that he had to worry about. It was Ronnae, and all the details she'd learned about Billy in their relationship, that was more likely to be the source of information.
"I should be worried, shouldn't I?"
no subject
"Besides you know I wouldn't ask about any embarrassing stuff, like how good of a kisser you are or any of that other girl talk." She smiles again even more innocently then before. As she turns to look around she faces the viewing globe. And like a ton of bricks she thinks back to Tommy.
"Billy, I've got a question for you."

He sobered when Kimberly addressed him again, though. It felt important. "Sure, Kim, what is it?"

That was when realization hit. This Kimberly wasn't the Kim he'd been with as the world ended. She was from another parallel timeline, from before White Rangers and peace conferences and ninjas from Stone Canyon. He smiled faintly, lifting his own power coin in his hand.
"This might be a good time to tell you that Stacy doesn't always rescue everyone from a world at the same point in the timeline. She goes wherever she has to in time to find enough people to save, and if that's as far as you know, we're from different timelines," Billy explained.
"For me, Tommy's already lost his Green Ranger powers. I don't know how much I'm allowed to tell you about what would have happened in your future, but this much should be safe. Zordon gave him a new power a few weeks later, the same power that was the basis for the new Rangers'. All their morphers are modeled on his new one. So if he was to awaken, he could take the new morpher."

He'd also heard a thing or two about Tommy's future from Dustin, something about being a paleontologist, but he didn't want to dump too much shocking information on Kim.
"What you're talking about happened...I think it was about three months before the Ohm's attack in my timeline. You haven't missed much, other than meeting a few new friends. If anything, being here for a year's changed me more than those few months did---but I'm still me, Kimberly. At least I think I am. I hope I haven't changed too much."
'A few new friends' was an understatement, really, but introducing Rocky, Adam, and Aisha could wait until one of them actually arrived. That train of thought led right back to a worry he'd had all this time, that he was changing too much and that his old friends would no longer recognize him.

A few new friends? Kimberly didn't see why that would be important to mention but she guessed it was good to know.
