Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Why wouldn't Kimberly approve of her? Ronnae made Billy happy and that's all that counts. If it was an appearance thing, she never judged a person on looks. Well, at least not anymore. Meeting Zordon had changed so many things in her.

"I'm sure she's great." she sounded great. For the first time Kimberly saw how much Billy had grown into his own here. He was forced to. It wasn't a bad thing and he did look happy.

"I really do have to meet her. Oh, we can be shopping buddies." There were shops here, right? "We can do each other's hair and share stories. This is going to be so much fun." Fun at Billy's expense.

Billy gasped in mock-surprise, all the possibilities running through his head. "I've already had a head start on telling her embarrassing stories from my youth," he said lightly. "She'll definitely like the 'girl time', and..."

Uh oh. He realized then that it wasn't Kimberly talking that he had to worry about. It was Ronnae, and all the details she'd learned about Billy in their relationship, that was more likely to be the source of information.

"I should be worried, shouldn't I?"

Kimberly laughed. Billy was adorable, he always had been if it wasn't his irrational fear of fish it was the fear of girls. Not that either of those were problems now. "I don't think so, Billy" She was lying but that was obvious. Even though she would love to hear the goofy things that he did here.

"Besides you know I wouldn't ask about any embarrassing stuff, like how good of a kisser you are or any of that other girl talk." She smiles again even more innocently then before. As she turns to look around she faces the viewing globe. And like a ton of bricks she thinks back to Tommy.

"Billy, I've got a question for you."

As usual, Billy looked somewhat flustered by that. "Why would you want to know? It's definitely considered excessive information where I come from," he shot back, unable to imagine asking a similar question of Tommy. There were just some things about your best friends that were better left unknown.

He sobered when Kimberly addressed him again, though. It felt important. "Sure, Kim, what is it?"

"If Tommy were to show up.." Her voice trailed. Kimberly didn't want to get her hopes up of him waking up here but if did. "His powers are limited, right? You think that, maybe, there is a way to recharge him?" The powers of the Green Ranger were weakening with each battle. But there could be a way if he were to awake here to re-energize him, right?

Tommy...the Green Ranger?

That was when realization hit. This Kimberly wasn't the Kim he'd been with as the world ended. She was from another parallel timeline, from before White Rangers and peace conferences and ninjas from Stone Canyon. He smiled faintly, lifting his own power coin in his hand.

"This might be a good time to tell you that Stacy doesn't always rescue everyone from a world at the same point in the timeline. She goes wherever she has to in time to find enough people to save, and if that's as far as you know, we're from different timelines," Billy explained.

"For me, Tommy's already lost his Green Ranger powers. I don't know how much I'm allowed to tell you about what would have happened in your future, but this much should be safe. Zordon gave him a new power a few weeks later, the same power that was the basis for the new Rangers'. All their morphers are modeled on his new one. So if he was to awaken, he could take the new morpher."

Kimberly held on to the control both for support. Of course this Billy was from further into time then she was. It be all too simple to just be from the same point in time. "Well, um, then I guess there's no need to worry, huh?" Tommy becomes a new ranger? His powers are totally lost? Wow too much in one day really could do a number on a girl.

Billy nodded quietly. "Yeah, he'll be fine. He might even come from earlier in time, where his Green powers are still strong. I think Stacy would want him as the best Ranger he could be."

He'd also heard a thing or two about Tommy's future from Dustin, something about being a paleontologist, but he didn't want to dump too much shocking information on Kim.

"What you're talking about happened...I think it was about three months before the Ohm's attack in my timeline. You haven't missed much, other than meeting a few new friends. If anything, being here for a year's changed me more than those few months did---but I'm still me, Kimberly. At least I think I am. I hope I haven't changed too much."

'A few new friends' was an understatement, really, but introducing Rocky, Adam, and Aisha could wait until one of them actually arrived. That train of thought led right back to a worry he'd had all this time, that he was changing too much and that his old friends would no longer recognize him.

"Billy, you're still you. Even if you have changed a bit you're still my friend. My best friend in fact." Kimberly wouldn't allow these little changes in Billy get in the way of their friendship. Besides she could that these changes were positive.

A few new friends? Kimberly didn't see why that would be important to mention but she guessed it was good to know.
