The Call

Jaime Reyes voice sounds over the comm-rings--all of them--and it sounds very urgent.

« Everyone on the ship, listen up! This is Jaime Reyes, your local 'Blowing this pop stand' coordinator and escape facilitation engineer. I need everyone on the ship to come to the City, in front of the Precinct, immediately. Grab people who don't have their comm rings with them--and tell them to grab their comm rings, people who are sleeping, whoever you find, and try to make sure everyone on the ship knows to come. This is very important. This is "getting the heck out of here" important. »

When they arrive, they arrive to find the Command Staff waiting, and a tiny, tiny young man standing on stone ledge from a fountain, waiting for them.

Here goes nothing.

Unsurprisingly, Bart is one of the first people there, arriving before Jaime's even finished talking. "We're blowing a pop stand up? Is that dangerous? Are we going somewhere with more places to run around because I'm kinda sick of this city it's getting to feel pretty small." He blinks a little and looks at Jaime. "Also, I'm Impulse, I don't think we've met."

Luke had made his way down through the City to the Precinct, after sending the equivalent of a poke in the Force to every Jedi (and Arha) present. Getting out of here--now, that was something he could certainly help with.

Lightsaber secure on his belt, Luke looked around at the people beginning to assemble. There was the tingle of something big in the air--the something the Force had been nudging him about.

"Hello," he said, to the young man standing on the ledge of a fountain. "You're Jaime, the one who put out that call?"

Slobo walks into the area nonchalantly, whistling Genesis' "Land of Confusion", and quickly makes his way to the "young man" and staff.

"You the guy runnin' this shindig?"

Static ambled to the precinct with purpose. He had been told about a team to get everyone off the ship, and he wanted to be a part of that process. He adjusted the chain he'd coiled over his shoulder after training with Slobo and Kitara, and after taking a quick moment to fully charge himself at some instrument panel or another (like he could tell most of these things apart), walked up with purpose.

"What's the plan, Blue?" He said, looking to Jaime for direction. He was, after all, one of the leaders of the Titans.

Whatever this was, it was obviously important. Samus wasted no time and arrived promptly. She crosses her arms and waits for further explanation before asking any questions.

Jean-Paul soon joined the group, but instead of hanging around the gathered group, he preferred a perch on the rooftop, looking over. He'd listen from above and join in if needed.

"Getting out of this place? Already? Sounds too easy." Jean-Paul muttered to himself.

Indy shuffles in. Under normal circumstances (what are normal circumstances on the meatship anyway?), he probably would have taken a bit longer to join the rest of the wonderful crew, but the 'getting the heck out' part of the message grabbed his attention. He was prompted to arrive more quickly.

He joins the chorus of questions, "What's going on?"

Mara hadn't been on the ship very long, but she was starting to get used to being shuffled around and herded to meetings. But if these meetings were linked to getting off of this ship, she was all ears. She looked around at the gathering crowd, reaching out to find anyone familiar.

It looked like the young man on the fountain would be the one in charge. One eyebrow went up, not particularly impressed on first impression, but she had learned not to judge by appearances.

Lois is there soon, looking really interested and ready to go.

"Bit of a cub scout for someone running this thing, aren't you?"

She doesn't mean anything mean by it, really. She's just critical like that, and Jaime is a tiny, tiny young man.

Zach surveyed the assemblage with a grimace. "Great... Titans everywhere. This is going to be just delightful, I'm sure." He sighed and rubbed his forehead.

At least he was still the best dressed of them.

Mei Ling was ready to act for the future of her crewmates and herself. She may not be the strongest, and regardless of her high intelligence, she didn't dare consider herself the smartest, but she knew this was important and she could do something to help however she can.

Ryuunosuke arrived as fast as his legs could carry him. He needed to get back to Takeru and the others. This place was a madhouse!

"Who's in charge here? Is there really a way to get back to our proper places?"

While Chris was a tad anxious at the notion of something happening, he tried not to appear nervous. He had his hands fiddling with his plant suit before turning to speak with Jaime.

"... Hey. This is big, isn't it?"

Oh yes Jaime, there's a hand, and it's grazing your ass.

But it's your girlfriend(?), so it's okay.

Honestly, Mia's just fine with this place, given the 'reboot' it gave her, but she's with Jaime, whatever he's planning. "So 'boss', what's the plan?"

This is a significant part of his goal - getting off the ship - but even so, Zuko is thinking as he arrives that he can't leave without Aang.

But he has to know what's going on. He bows to Jaime before speaking.

Some people are actually shuffling, much to this little girl's dismay. While several days have passed since Sherry's parasite removal (two words she thought she'd never have to use in reference to herself), the little girl still moves at the approximate pace of a snail.

At least Tío Gatito kept his promise: Sherry cannot feel a thing, except the nose itchies that come with each does of her medicine. She settles herself on the stone steps stiffly, however. Even if she can't really feel the pain from her healing wounds, she can feel the pull of her stitches, and it's uncomfortable. Sherry itched the top of her nose, trying to concentrate on Jaime.

Shadow Link came because...well, he did want to know what WAS going on. It sure sounded like they were going home. Not that he was in a hurry to get there. He didn't honestly want to go home.

But he hated getting caught off guard and if something happened, he wanted to be prepared for it.

And you have to be a serious ninja for a mission briefing. So he'll come out when he has too.

Of course Gauron's here - he's been inadvertently avoiding talking to Jaime for long enough. "What skillsets in particular do you need for Team GTFO?" Much as he'd rather be doing something productive toward getting them off the ship, there's the chance he might be of more use back here for now, especially if something goes wrong.

Getting Down to Business

It's time to start laying out the plan--and seeing if everyone else is willing to follow it.

Everyone appears to be there. They've done a headcount.


Trying to ignore his nerves, which are pretty much jangling right now, Jaime jumps back up on the stone ledge he'd been standing on earlier, and shouts:

"Okay, everyone, it's time to get down to business. Please don't be afraid of the blue energy field, even though there's hardly any sensors down here, it's to avoid any possible monitoring we haven't thought of."

With that, he transforms, black and blue spreading over his clothes until he's wearing the armor, and then the prongs on the back of his suit spark with blue electricity, and a blue energy bubble springs up all around them in a dome.

However, when he speaks, his voice falters.

"So, okay, we are in something of a bad situation, and--um. Okay, so just ahead of time, you should know I'm really bad at public speaking, because I tend to ramble and get off topic, like this one time in class--"
