22nd-Mar-2010 08:47 pm - Old Friends
Jeckie found herself standing in the Sensoriums just a few moments after her communique with Nura. There was something of a pleasant smile on her face - a first, really, for anyone who might have had to deal with her since she'd popped. The Sensorium was made up to look like Jeckie's bedchambers at the Legion headquarters, all rich fabrics and bold hues of violet and blue shot through with silver and gold. She was staring out the window, knowing full well that it didn't exist, but unable to give herself the pleasure of being able to see an illusion of Brin Londo swooping around the sky outside. She bade the illusion to die a moment later and then took a seat on her chaise longue, awaiting the one woman here who was likely the closest thing that Jeckie had to a friend aboard this place.
22nd-Feb-2010 01:41 am - The Lurking Fear - Group 1
It begins. It happens very suddenly. Shadows moving up the hallways where shadows shouldn't be. For a moment, as they all stand where they stand on the ship, the ship--the universe--moves around them, and they're transported somewhere far away. Just for an instant.

On some worlds that were, some versions of Earth, a man tormented by night terrors wrote of it once, wrote of things revealed under the light of a greenish moon: corpses of dead worlds with sores that were cities, charnel winds that brush the pallid stars and make them flicker low. Beyond the worlds vague ghosts of monstrous things; half-seen columns of unsanctifled temples that rest on nameless rocks beneath space and reach up to dizzy vacua above the spheres of light and darkness.

There are pipes, pipes in the darkness, the whine of droning flutes, and far off, the muffled, mad beating of drums.

There's a bright white flash, blinding, and those that have tongues will taste static, and then reality boils and runs and reshapes around them as their nightmares and worst fears become reality.

8th-Oct-2009 09:44 pm - The Call
Jaime Reyes voice sounds over the comm-rings--all of them--and it sounds very urgent.

« Everyone on the ship, listen up! This is Jaime Reyes, your local 'Blowing this pop stand' coordinator and escape facilitation engineer. I need everyone on the ship to come to the City, in front of the Precinct, immediately. Grab people who don't have their comm rings with them--and tell them to grab their comm rings, people who are sleeping, whoever you find, and try to make sure everyone on the ship knows to come. This is very important. This is "getting the heck out of here" important. »

When they arrive, they arrive to find the Command Staff waiting, and a tiny, tiny young man standing on stone ledge from a fountain, waiting for them.

Here goes nothing.
11th-Aug-2009 03:15 am - El Tango de Roxanne [Open]
Being on board the ship for as long as he had had begun to wear on Remy, making him incredibly stir-crazy. He'd been down to the city. He'd seen the statuary. He'd perused the media library. But there was only so much exploring a man could do before it became tedious. Only so many statues he could look at. Only so much sitting on his butt watching movies and television or listening to music that he could do. Even practicing his skills in the sensorium had become boring. Remy needed something to do. He needed...to go out...to socialize in a more comfortable setting (i.e. one not made out of pulsing flesh).

But since there was no way off the ship, there was only one way to actually 'go out.'El alma se me fue... )...and Gambit now stood alone in the middle of the dance floor.
26th-Jul-2009 12:35 am - The Princess is NOT Pleased! [Open!]
Princess Projectra was not pleased. Wasn't that a big surprise?

What was it over this time?

Oh yes.

The "food" that this ship deemed to serve her.

Her.

Royalty at it's best.

She pushed her plate away and stood up. Tossing her hair and her cape, Projectra strode out of the mess hall - and really, given what this ship's idea of a 'meal' was, mess was certainly the right word - and turned left.

There had to be something edible on this ship that wasn't mush!

Danny was not happy, thanks to his argument with Cassie. In fact you could say he was pissed. And despite having gone to the podroom to sleep, Danny did not have a very good one, making him all the more unpleasant to be around. About the only person who'd be excluded from his irritation would be Dani, but everyone else was pretty much fair game at this point.
1st-Jul-2009 05:24 pm - Newbie Meet n' Greet
For the newbies, there are people waiting for them in the Obs Deck. A whole gaggle of people. Behind them is the nasty statue, and the beautiful sight through the windows of the stars streaming past and the swirling vortex of collars that was interdimensional travel.

There are more questions than answers, but the crew is willing to help, especially the Command Staff and greeters.

1st-Jul-2009 05:22 pm - Once you pop the fun don't stop
[ooc: Newbie Helpers List | Instructions: Post your character with one post establishing them as being podpopped. If you would like to play out them talking to the AI, please send an email to the mods making the request--we do this only by request. Then move onto the big Newbie Meeting. Once your character has gotten the rundown from the old crew, you may start posting entrance posts and freely tagging.]

||Pod Release Protocols Initating|| Stacy's familiar voice sounds out to all the podmates through the ship.

In the Pod Caverns, there are the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.

There is condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slide out onto the floors, covered in slime.
