Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"I like researching," Katara nods. "But I also like learning various ways in using my powers, you know?" She really did like to practice her waterbending. She was good at it, and she took pride in that. "Have you been involved in a lot of the combats that have risen around here?"

"Quite a few, here and there." Negi rubbed his arm thinking about Kain in particular. "There were a lot of fights where I had to give it my all. Even then I was beaten up."

"Ouch. I'm sorry," Katara said. "I've had fights like that before. It was never fun."

"Yeah." He neglected to mention that he had thrown a couple of them, just to protect people. "At least everything turned out all right."

She probably would have admired that he had done that. Protecting people - even if you had to lose a fight to protect them - was a noble thing to do. "My grandmother once told me that things always have a way of righting themselves. I don't know how much of that was true or not, but I sometimes believe that she may have been correct."

"If that's true, then I'm due in for a lot of stuff," chuckled Negi.

Katara laughed. "You may just find yourself lucky, yet."
