Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Keep breaking his heart, Ron!

"I pity anyone who claims to be me who isn't. 'Werewolf and former Professor' are not England's most preferred titles."

He lifted a finger to his lips as he examined Ron again, answering his question as he pondered how to phrase his own. "No, I'm afraid not. They are most likely in the pods that you and I were in, but not awake yet. I don't know why you and are were chosen and they were not..."

He trailed off, because he accepted that he could find no explanation for it. "Ron, do you feel quite all right? You look... forgive me, much different than I remember you."

Even though he had now confirmed the identity of Remus that comment makes him take a slightly suspicious look back. "Yeah, well, you didn't seem to think that last time I saw you. Scolded Hermione and I for not checking," he mumbled, blue eyes searching. This had to be Lupin, but him not knowing that let alone his appearance changed too many variables.

Looking up at his former Professor Ron's expression turned into that of a more mixed one as he shrugged. Turning away he had to wonder exactly why he'd been brought here himself. Harry was the Chosen One. Hermione was the Brightest Witch of Her Age. Any of his siblings would have been a better fit. And what did he have? Maybe a few good moves in Quidditch an Chess, but nothing more. He didn't exactly get what they expected by bringing him here. He at least understood Remus a bit more, considering, but his head turned back sharply as the older male continued.

His scowl returned altering his features in a way that should not befit a hardly eighteen year old boy. "Brilliant," his response came in bitter sarcasm, "reckon I look just peachy for what's been going on. Anyway, could say the same for you, couldn't I? Can't say you look the same as last I saw you and all."

"This ship lacks a moon," he said, unable to avoid a little pleasure in the fact. "You would be amazed how much better you feel when you stop turning into a wolf every month. Not that I recommend you try it, of course, but after our recent unpleasantness I thought you ought to know there's no danger of that now."

He sighed, with a tired smile that didn't convey too much humor, as he looked to the door from which the newest arrivals to the crew had walked through. "I don't think we'll be seeing anyone else we know this time around. Not that I'm not glad to see you, Ron, I truly am," he said, quite sincerely. "And from what I hear this ship is quite indiscriminate in who it chooses to release. We should be glad we haven't been joined by a Death Eater it 'rescued' from Azkaban at this point."
