The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Now that he's got his (truly ridiculous and highly eye-searing) costume (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/LisaCharly/Intimates%20Scans/photobsad.gif) back on, along with his beloved and incredibly-powerful hand puppet, Punchy's feeling even more pumped than he was before. He's ready to meet his crew mates, even though he's sure they'll try and talk him down because he's so young.

Whatever. Teachers and authority figures have been telling him to sit down and be patient for years. Stacy chose him for this mission, shouldn't that mean something?

He struts around in his costume, looking for the nearest superhero-looking type to introduce himself to. Surely some Superman sort of person will see him for the hero he is - the hero Stacy just affirmed he is.

Man, he doesn't even have to try anymore. He's so already a hero.

Soren doesn't recognize Punchy at first -- not with that ridiculous costume on. He merely thinks he's run into another eccentric, and he's used to dealing with those. At any rate, he's got a stack of books in one arm and several staves in the other, and he's back in clean, comfortable robes. So he's feeling a bit more charitable now.

"Excuse me."

See? So charitable!

"Excused, dawg," Punchy says, giving Soren a bit of a wary glance. Those are some weird clothes, man. "You done tripping over your personal space?"

That voice...

"Oh. It's the country boy." The one who insisted he was from some kind of city. Except no one from a city of any respectable size spoke in such a manner.

"It's you who should learn not to touch others without their permission. Basic manners."

"Country? I ain't from no country. I'm from the hood," he says, rolling his eyes. So apparently clothes don't put Soren in a more tolerable state. "Maybe if you weren't dragging your feet, I wouldn'ta had to kick your ass in gear. I said, you done tripping, or you gonna hold that against me forever?"

Soren had no idea what the 'hood' was, but now that he was dressed, he could attempt to be cordial. "It's nothing to be ashamed of. Some of the finest soldiers I know were from the outskirt villages."

He frowned. "As long as you don't attempt it again, I suppose forgiveness is in order."

Alex tagged along watching Soren, and waved his hand with the large gold star-encrusted ring on the thumb at...oh it was the red-haired boy! "Hi! I found Ifrit!"

"Outskirt...villages...yo, dawg, what kinda hoods you been hanging in? And are dresses the usual threads there?" he says, giving a skeptical look at Soren's clothes again. "I ain't asking your forgiveness, man. Don't be frontin' on me."

He looks down and sees the little kid again. "Hey, man, that's dope! I found Puppet, too!"

He makes the little nun puppet wave for Alex.

Soren glances back over his shoulder at Alex, choosing not to comment on that ridiculous hand puppet on Punchy's hand. For now.

"These are mage's robes. Are you honestly telling me you can't tell the difference between these and a dress?" Because seriously, Punchy, that would make you even dumber than Soren had initially projected.

"I've seen that walk before!" Beastboy grinned approaching, "You are totally a hero type right? That smug smirk, that strut!" It was a little like looking at himself in the mirror so he thought. "What up newbie?"

Beast Boy could not have made Punchy's day more if he'd told Punchy he was a personal genie to grant him babes and fortune.

"Yeah?" He realizes he sounds a little surprised, and lowers his voice a bit. "Yeah. I been doing this a few years. What's the 411 on you?"

Beastboy grinned broader "Well you could say I'm a party animal."

And with that he shifted into a towering gorilla to give a big cheesy grin. He never did tire of that line.

"That's bomb, man!" Punchy says, although he does feel a little insecure about Beast Boy having that much power while he's still got his 'lame' hand puppet. "I'm Punchy. The name should speak for itself."

Beastboy shifted back and stuck out a hand, "Sweet dude! We need all the help around here we can get."

"So how much have you heard already? Got any questions? I've been here awhile...though honestly I have no idea how long. My watch doesn't work anymore." He laughed sheepishly.

Not surprising to Punchy, given that he mistakenly believes he got here by jumping through a wormhole. Of course time would be broken! Time stops for no hero! or something.

"Yeah, how often do we go hit pavement with this hero business in this crib? You been on any sick adventures?" He shakes Beast Boy's hand enthusiastically with his free hand.

"Heh, well about that..." Beastboy laughed with a hint of embarrassment but explained none-the-less. "Things happen pretty fast around here for the most part, except when they're slow." Boy that was a great explination! Try again.

"See, without being able to like, tell time or anything? Things seem to go pretty slow. Seems like you can go forever without something big happening, but when it does it happens like that!" He snapped his fingers.

"I've only been onto a few different planets for missions, nothing too epic...got married once. That was neat." He laughed, "But I've had a few throwdowns here on ship, wrestling with a bear, fighting other crew members, this one time I was possessed. That sucked."

"So it's less us hitting it and more mofos macking on us?" Punchy asks, a little bit of excitement dwindling. He'd rather be proactive, constantly on the move, than sitting around and waiting for people to threaten them. Though he supposes that maybe that's what war is. "How many other supers are there in this joint?"

Somebody is paying particular attention to a particular part of Punchy's costume, trying to decide if it's tasteful or not.

"Punchy," Punchy answers, totally missing the point, then... "Hey, shawty, you looking that way for a reason?"

The term of endearment she doesn't comment on, because to be fair, Nima is kind of petite.

But mostly an invitation. Dammit, Nima, he was just naked! Do you know how long it takes to peel off vinyl and body armor?

Nima smiles a teasing smile, knowing that being young probably just puts him in a position to want this invitation to be accepted even more.

"Maybe too young to have learned how to activate each of a woman's chakras on the Kundalini Path to ecstatic bliss."

BECAUSE YEAH. THAT'S A DEAL BREAKER. Okay not really.
