Strange Visitors

||Mission complete,|| Stacy's voice rang out through the ship. ||Obs deck returning.||

The mission was a success, and so the away team returned, and the Obs Deck was back in it's proper place.

But, this time, they came back with a few more visitors.

Among the returning crew members stood three strange aliens. There was the ever-dour Revus Lod, the energetic Ippli, and the stoic Commander Rahk.

The Lensmen commander looked around at his surroundings, his expression rather inscrutable at the moment.

Anyone want to say hi to the new arrivals?

Okay, note to self, don't speak Spanish to aliens. "Nothing bad, I promise!" he insisted. "So, ah... what brings you to our humble little corner of paradise?"

"We were patrolling the area when we heard reports of Ohm activity on Arkez," Revus said, "When we arrived, we found your group in combat with them."

"And I wanted to take a look at your current situation," Rahk added. "This is one of the few Transmigration ships to be found again, so it's important it's in fighting shape."

"I... honestly can't answer that," Luis sighed, reaching up to brush his hair out of his eyes. "We're a pretty ragtag crew to begin with, and our main AI has been badly damaged." And is possibly bipolar, too.

"We've made do against the Ohm before but I don't know what counts as 'fighting shape.'"

"Damn," Rahk said. "Just like the other two. I'll see what we can do. You're the Daligig's last-ditch effort to stop the Ohm."

"So we've heard." Sigh.

Luis was quiet for a moment, but then folded his arms. "I have a question for you, if you've been working with the Daligig, and if it's not too much trouble...

"How prevalent is the usage of bioweapons in this war?"

"Viruses and bacteria, you mean?" Rahk asks. "Not much, but I know the Daligig were researching every option to fight the Ohm."

"Yeah, well-- next chance you get, you tell them that their war isn't going to go very well if their 'last hope' all get wiped out by one of the stupid, out-of-control bioweapons they didn't see fit to tell us about."

Luis was trying not to sound too annoyed at Rahk himself, but dammit, this had been bothering him for a while. "The ship's partially in disarray because we just got finished dealing with the, oh... third major outbreak of some viral agent that we weren't warned about. Are we alone in this kind of excitement, or have the other ships had to deal with it too?"

"I'm not sure," he said. "4 and 7 keep to themselves, and we don't get many transmissions from them since they're on the edge of the inhabited multiverse."

Luis dissolved into chuckles at that. "Anyway. I'm sorry, I did not mean to take it out on you. I've just been up to my ears dealing with all this bullshit... it's hard enough battling the disasters we've had on the ship without even worrying about the Ohm."

"I'll see what I can do to help you out," Rahk says. "Hopefully I can help get you some supplies at least."
