1st-Dec-2010 04:54 pm - AWESOME WORLD! NOW OPEN.
It had been under construction for barely a few weeks, a small train of robots making a bustle in an isolated area of the city. But they were robots and needed little to no downtime, unlike human workers, and they got things done with the maximum level of efficiency. The only limitation was the area they had, and the materials they could use. Neither was really that important.

As Rock spreads the word of Awesome World's activation, the lights and music start up, standard cheerful carnival fare. Odd little robots have been painted in cheery colors and can be seen wandering around the park, cleaning up, making last minute adjustments, and watching the visitors. The rides there in force, each attended by a friendly-looking robot. There's a wooden roller coaster attended by Woodman, Starman keeps the Ferris Wheel running, bumper cars are operated by Turboman, a drop tower watched over by Crashman, and Topman makes sure that the Gravitron runs smoothly.

Rides aren't the only thing that Rock's thought of, though. Other forms of entertainment are there, such as Bubbleman's Dunk Tank, Gutsman's High Striking Strength Tester, Magicman's daily magic show, and Sniper Joe's Shooting Gallery with several kinds of targets. However, Rock's pride goes to Gravityman's Zero-G Ball Pit, a zero-gravity field with a massive number of plastic balls, all watched over by Gravityman.

It's here. It's open. Have a blast. Just don't go over into that corner over there, it looks like there's a ride half-built.

[[Come in and have fun, everyone! Don't worry about NPCing the Robot Masters, they don't have the intelligence they have in the games. Rock's given them their basic personalities and enough programming to act as barkers. Have your characters tag in and just enjoy the rides!]]
12th-Nov-2010 04:47 pm - C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER! [CLOSED]
Rock stands, bouncing on his heels, in the middle of the Sensoriums. He had skipped all that mess about the Punishment, had actually been ignoring Stacy when she said something about it. He was building plans, you see. Awesome plans.

Wiggling his fingers, he thrusts them out. "SHAZAM!" The City springs to life around him, a Ferris wheel already formed. He snaps his fingers, and it's painted a snazzy red, yellow, and orange.

"KRAKOW!" He whirls and points his fingers like they were guns. "Kapow! Kapow! Kapow!" With each noise, a new building sprung up. A funhouse, with holograms and lasers spinning outside. An odd, silver-white robot stands just outside, with a welcoming grin. A carousel, with another robot shuffling his hoovesand inspecting the rides on it appears next, followed by a pit of bumper cars and several other traditional rides. Some of them don't have any obvious twists, beyond lasers, bright, cheerful paint jobs, and the large robots that accompany each and every one of them.

The roller coaster he's devised seems a bit wild, but hopefully he's done the math right on that. But the real bit where his proposal might seem outright insane comes in when he brings up a pit of plastic balls. Then he claps his hands and a red robot appears. He looks at Rock, nods, and raises his arms. When he does, gravity warps around the ball pit, and it floats into the sky a good few feet above the ground, forming a perfect sphere.

Rock looks around at his works and beams. "I'll call it good." Now, all there was to do was to wait for Billy to show up, be amazed, and proclaim him the king of everything.
20th-Sep-2010 10:05 pm - Winter Clarity[Open]
The airfield was usually Steve's conjured fantasy, and not Miku's. And while he was still skittish to the idea of entering it, that didn't mean Miku had to keep away. So, instead of fall grasses or summertime, the airfield was plunged into deep winter.

She sat at on a snowbank, making snow bunnies. Her breath left white puffs in the air as she worked to smooth out the snow, and she'd long since pushed her red hood back from her face to keep it out of her way. Satisfied with the little family of snow bunnies, Miku nodded to herself and wandered further into the field.

She'd only gone about six steps when suddenly she sank into the snow to her waist. "Oh! Hey!" She tried to pull herself up, but having the physical strength of a piece of straw, gave up quickly and fell back against the side of the hole she'd fallen into with a sigh

Well, maybe she'd just sit here for a few minutes.
3rd-Aug-2010 12:05 pm - Putting the band back together!
The signals had been pinging at him ever since he got on board. The global positioning relays in each of his pets. The maps in his head were now useless, he'd have to upload the ship's map into his databanks, but he could still locate them through trial and error. It had taken him a while, the ship had more twists and turns than an ant's nest.

Finally, he found what he was looking for, a part of the ship that the omnicomm indicated as 'Engineering'. The name wasn't important, he walked in anyway, trusting that they wouldn't mind a guest. Still following their beacons, he wanders deep into the piles of spare parts, eventually finding what he was looking for. Bits of blue, green, red. Disassembled for easy storage, it seemed. Still, grinning happily, he pulls them loose and heads back over to the work areas, thunking everything onto a table before borrowing a few tools. (He'd put them back!)

Rock settles down on the table himself, picking up some soldering tools and adjusting their settings with expert ease. He had been, after all, originally built as a lab assistant for physics and robotics experiments. Anyone wandering into Engineering will likely find him working, face screwed up in concentration, as he proceeds to assemble his three 'pets'. He looks perfectly in his element, and moves like someone with decades more experience than a ten year old kid could possibly have.
1st-Aug-2010 12:29 pm - Meet N' Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a green-skinned alien and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

1st-Aug-2010 12:28 pm - Podpop
[ooc: Newbie Helpers List | Instructions: Post your character with one post establishing them as being podpopped. Tag each other in groups of 2's, 3's, and 4's, to get some interaction to start with. If a thread doesn't already have 2 or 3 people tagged in, tag it with your character's podpop popping near the other people, rather than making a new subthread. If you would like to play out them talking to the AI, please send an email to the mods making the request--we do this only by request. Then move onto the big Newbie Meeting. Once your character has gotten the rundown from the old crew, you may start posting entrance posts and freely tagging.]

||Pod Release Protocols Initating|| Stacy's familiar voice sounds out to all the podmates through the ship.

In the Pod Caverns, there are the sounds of: Pop. Pop pop pop. Poppuhpoppoppop. KASCHUNKhiiiiiiiissssss.

There is condensation and mist spraying out from cracks in the pods, as the people inside slide out onto the floors, covered in slime.
