Is Your Love Strong Enough? Part 2 - Personal Interwoven Soulcatchers

Following you awakening and talking with a few of the members through the communication systems by way of the three kind people who had awakened her, Nezaitben realized how the crew was stuck in a terrible mess.

So many of them felt sad and depressed. Considering the entire ship, it wasn't too hard to see why. The next day, there had been an unusual amount of magical flowers spreading all over the ship. Nothing that damaged the controls (she might be naive in the way humanoids were, but Nezaitben was no fool either) but they were found in the most unexpected of places. Her own awakening area was now blooming in a flower paradise, the wooden palace standing proudly on top, the smell and pink cherry blossom strong enough to carry through most of the central city area where most people resided.

Yet the ship was still sad.

This would not do.

That night, or what passed as a night for in the ship, Nezaitben took to the 'sky', letting pieces of her own essence fall on top of the sleeping populace, or those that were not sleeping finding themselves feeling the need too. Enveloping the ship into a peaceful slumber, she searched their dreams. The powers granted to her by the pantheon of gods in her homeworld allowed Nezaitben to weave a series of dreamcatchers giving her the ability to see those whose hearts connected true.

These noble souls would do. Lead by example had always been her philosophy. She would give them a great gift - communication with each other in a single body, allowing them to share everything together. Their two soulcatchers were woven together that night into a single, grand ones, hanging in the garden's trees.

A few minutes later, the empty husks of the bodies that weren't being used showed up at her palace. With a smile, she welcomed them like her own children and began to dress them for their task.

That morning, some of the crewmen would wake up to a strange surprise...and that would just be the beginning of a long, strange misunderstanding and young gods trying too much to please everyone.

[OOC - Just a few rules. Keep in mind the listed rules. You can all start your own threads of waking up in the bodies of others. If you feel like leaving a 2nd post for other people to intact with them, start a reply to your own first post with OPEN header. That way everyone else will know where to post and if you don't feel like having an open interaction post right away, you won't have to!

There will also be another post for all the soulless characters to go around spreading joy and love, so look forward to that too!]

Lash had been on her way to the store with some new materials when she felt the sudden need to lie down and fall asleep. So, of course, right over a teetering rooftop's ledge was the perfect way to just fall down and start snoring. It wouldn't be that dangerous thanks to her power, and no one would bother her on top of a risky building.

She'd sleep on worse in her days as a CO officer.

The night passed on by quickly. She had no dreams (which was...odd since she tended to remember them rather clearly) and woke up feeling pretty refreshed the next morning...just unsure where she was at first.

"Oh yeah," she said to no one. She look down to the ship's floor far, far below. "Now I remember."

Somewhere in the city, Shoutarou groaned a bit as he straightened up. Earlier, he had been on patrol when he felt the need to sleep. He'd intended to just pull over and flop in the grass of the park, but it looks like he only got as far as pulling over.

He stretched with another groan, popping a few joints. Sleeping while slumped over on a motorcycle wasn't the brightest of ideas he'd had...

Ruffnut and Mindy

Ruffnut had not gone to sleep in her bad the night before. She had suddenly felt like napping so she managed to crawl to the nearest sofa and flopped onto it in her tower letting sleep claim her.

Waking up now she stretched and yawned feeling a little cold. "Good nap." She mumbled and glanced around locating a nearby fireplace. A burst of lightning set it alight and began to feel the room with a warm glow and dancing shadows. Her eyes wandered back to the sofa. "I like that sofa." and then louder to the spirits she knew would be watching her. "Hey guys, don't mess with this one." She pointed at the object hoping the spirits would favor her. They often liked to employ the furniture in their little pranks against her. Last week they'd stacked up a pile of chairs ontop of her while she slept and she had to find a way out.

Little did she know as she warmed herself by the fire someone else was feeling the heat and seeing the merry crackling orange flames.

Morgan had been on the way back from Hydroponics! Honest! He would have been sensibly in bed if he'd just had a few minutes more....

But he hadn't, and that was probably for the best. Although he was a little sore from having crashed out under some alien tree, he was fully-clothed.

And frowning as he got to his feet. The Akashic was highly in-tune with his body, mind, and general place in the universe. Something seemed off this morning.

Unlike most others, Sasami was asleep when everything occurred. To her, things seemed normal. A good night's rest and she figured she'd spend the next day opening up her cafeteria again and serving everyone.

Awakening the next morning, Sasami ended up hopping out of bed, and, getting the sleep out of her, prepared to get ready. However, looking at the mirror, she was greeted with not one familiar face, but two.

The panicked scream could be heard throughout the house.

The night had been the longest and most peaceful Victoria had experienced the entire stay at on the ship. Thanks to Nezaitben's magic, the flowers around the house had been blooming, and she could smell them even as she woke up. Only...it was hard to wake up this morning. And not because it was a question of being lazy, oh no, quite far from it! She stands up in her bed and stretches a little, feeling like her entire body was pins and needles all over.

"That is rather strange..."

Call it a woman's intuition if you will, but Victoria feels like something is very wrong.

"Jamie?" she calls out. Did he come home yesterday, I can't quite seem to remember if he did. The sleep did knock me quite out...

When the sudden drowsiness struck him, Zouichi was back at the inn, planning to spend a quiet evening with a book or two. He fought the sensation for a moment -- he didn't need to sleep, he had gone to sleep last week -- but ultimately, Nezaitben's power won out and he fell asleep soundlessly in his chair.

When he woke up again, it was in the midst of uncharacteristic drowsiness. Where was he? What had happened? This wasn't the inn, was it?

Vala and Daniel

[personal profile] valaunbound 2011-11-25 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Vala was never good with mornings. Today was no exception, in fact today provided even more of a refusal to accept it was time to get up than most. She'd slept more soundly than she ever did, for the first time in years she didn't remember dreaming. Nothing at all, not even one recalled image that lacked context. Neither had there been any moments of waking during the night only to realise that it was her mind playing tricks on her. Vala cracked open one eye briefly and decided to ignore her internal body clock, just another five minutes.

Which was made even more odd by the fact she was lying asleep underneath some kind of ship on the hard concrete floor of the...

Her eyes shot open fully, blinking as she battled her sleepy disorientation. Was she in the hangar still? The coloured wires dangling above her face from the opened panel told her she was. The previous evening came surging back, she'd been... well never mind what she'd been doing, it was hardly important right now. Besides she'd only been sussing out the tech, there hadn't been any immediate plans to re-route the security circuits. Vala hastily closed the panel back up and shunted herself out from underneath the ship.

She did remember the sudden urge to sleep last night however, despite every other of her urges telling her to move away from her potentially incriminating location. Looks like the sleeping urge had won.

[Crichton and Mal]

[personal profile] youmissed 2011-11-25 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
The funny thing was John Crichton didn't remember nodding off. Being on the run meant this love-hate affair with insomnia and while that meant when he crashed, he crashed, this just wasn't one of those days. Didn't feel tired. John would swear up and down that he was wired and raring to go, batting a 100, firing on all cylinders.

Apparently his body had other ideas.

He woke up face down in a puddle of I don't even want to know what the frell that is, coughing and snorting as he tried to flounder his way back to dry land (Or as dry as you could get on this damn ship) before he drowned in two inches of water that smelled depressingly like piss no matter how you looked at it. He splashed his way across a bunch of wilted, soggy flower pedals. Still smelled like piss. While he could say he'd gotten used to way, way, way more than any human should, shoving his head into anything smelling like that was where he drew the line. He crawled his way out of the puddle, his eyes stinging and smelling an awful lot like the stairwell in a parking lot did.

"God!" John pawed at his face, wiping water from his eyes as he coughed and sniffled. The pressure in his head felt excruciating, like maybe --

He didn't know it, but he was about to find out why in two microts.

Azula and Nima

[identity profile] burnedbrighter.livejournal.com 2011-11-25 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
As usual, it was the creeping paranoia that woke her. She kept her eyes closed remaining perfectly still as she strained to listen and make sure there wasn't anyone else in the room with her. There was a moment when she thought she heard someone breathing but it as the echo of her voice.

Then the noise settled in at a dull roar.

Don't open your eyes or you'll see them.

She's just waiting to drown you.

They know exactly where you are.

Are you going to keep running forever?

Pathetic failure.

Weak.

Not a threat.

She opened her eyes and after satisfying herself the room was indeed empty, she let out a sad sigh. Another day of living on the run like some common criminal. Gone were the days of sleeping till she liked it, being woken gently by timid servants and offered the finest of treats in bed.

Now she made her nests in dark abandoned buildings, in small rooms with no windows and only one entrance. A pile of blankets surrounded her and were tangled around her limbs. A bag with all of her possessions in it sat near the door. In theory the noise of the bag being dragged on the floor would alert her if someone tried to sneak in and kill her.

Maybe I'll just stay here today. She thought to herself but instantly rejected that idea. A moving target is harder to hit. Don't give in so easily "princess" the last part was sarcastic as she seethed gently at her loss of status.

Devlin didn't remember falling asleep, but he was so out of it that he didn't bother thinking about it much when he woke up. None of his thoughts were coherent; he was just too groggy.

It was going to take him a while to realize just what had happened.

[Elisa and Goliath]

[identity profile] newyorkbynight.livejournal.com 2011-11-25 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Although it had been a few weeks since Elisa's last evening in Manhattan, she kept to her old sleep patterns in order to spend as much time as possible with Goliath.

(Besides, even this city needed someone to take the night shift.)

Or she had kept to her old sleep patterns, anyway. Despite her best efforts to stay awake, she'd been unable to fight against Nezaitben's soporific spell for long. She managed to make it to her room in the castle - stumbling through the carpet of flowers that covered the grounds - and collapsed on to the bed, falling into a deep sleep until the first rays of the false sunlight began to creep through her window.

With a low groan, Elisa raised a hand to shade her eyes before sitting up and stretching.

"What happened?"

She asked the rhetorical question aloud as she brushed her hair out of her face, unaware that there was someone nearby to answer.

Sleeping? She didn't remember sleeping. Hn, within an Eldar's life, mysterious things happened and she had more to worry about than when or where she fell asleep. There was no one beside her so it wasn't as if she did something that she never wanted to do.

Standing up straight, she stretched her muscles, beginning her day with a short warm up. It was another start to another day of training.

River didn't remember going to sleep, but she must have dozed off in her room within the TARDIS at one point because the first thing she saw when her sleep-heavy eyelids opened were the four wooden posts of her fancy (and rather large) bed. Blinking sleep from her eyes, she yawns into her hand and sits up before sliding a hand through her curls in a futile attempt to tame them into some semblance of order.

That's when she noticed something was awry.

Considering she still didn't have a bed of her own, it wasn't terribly surprising for Ellyn to wake up face down in the dirt. She wasn't achy, so the morning (such as it was) was off to a decent start.

Except for all the damn itching. Something wasn't...quite...right. But what? There was some weird prickly feeling at the back of her neck.

With a grunt, the pyromancer gave herself a good scratch. Nope. That wasn't it.

The nice thing about the City was there was actual night and day there, with a sun and sky and an actual passage of hours, albeit an artificial one. Compared to living in the crew quarters, bumming about in the City did wonders for her Circadian rhythm. While the main part of Stacy felt so much like the facility, with no concept of noon or midnight, the City could, if she wanted it to, be almost like the real world--or her preconception of it, anyway.

There was just something nice about falling asleep with the moon above and waking up to the sun rising in the East, even if tonight's shelter was a bit of a ramshackle. Though house hunting had been a bit of a bust so far, it was still better than camping in the hangar.

She yawned, stretched and stood, raising her arms above her head and pulling her hair into its tie. Certainly nothing out of the ordinary would happen today. Right? RIGHT!?

Even though Dustin kept odd hours (the result of being a ninja and Power Ranger as well as learning to function on very little sleep) he had found himself face up in the dirt. While that wasn't too unusual, he usually would sleep in the hangar, or in a nearby building by the leftover Wind Ninja Academy training grounds. Dustin shook his head, and then sighed.

"Dude, what happened? I don't even remembering going to bed, let alone outside."

Dean still didn't have the best sleep schedule around. It was getting better with Cas awake again, but things went downhill when Tom was sent to the pods. Felt weird to have his room empty in the house. He didn't know who had the more pathetic sad puppy face lately, their dog, or his brother. Still he got a few hours.

Though something was pinging as off with his hunter instincts, and he's not sure why.

Marco & Sakura

[personal profile] encourage 2011-11-28 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
Sakura rarely remembered her dreams, partly out of force of will, and partly out of self defense. There was a point where nightmares and digestions of experiences and the day lived weren't necessary for the conscious mind to process so much as they were for the unconscious mind to mess around with when in proper control.

Yet there were a few exceptions, as there almost always were to any given standard rule. Or she liked to believe she'd remember this particularly strange dream on waking, partly due to the extra vivid nature of the set-up.

As with many dreams, Sakura couldn't figure out how she'd ended up running around in the city, let alone on four paws. She paused to look down at her feet, canting her head to the side and sliding one leg out. A paw. She'd never recalled dreaming herself into an animal form, let alone a dog, but if she didn't think too hard on it, it made sense.

Sort of. She wasn't much of an any given animal person, yet dogs were generally easier patients to work with, and fairly appreciative. Her own tail started wagging as she thought about some of the face-licks and bowling-overs she'd gotten when the Inuzuka asked for a little extra help in keeping up with the health of their dogs.

Particularly their welping bitches, who might have had better general health care than the civilian population saw for their own pregnant women.

So it goes.

Resuming her trot, Sakura let the sensations overwhelm her, scents (and a few sounds) rushing in and invading, carried on a happy well-being emotion that was hard to particularly deny. Exuberance and delight and the far more intense variety of happy-go-lucky she never indulged kept her tail wagging and her tongue lolling as she followed a particularly entrancing smell that had more layers to it than she thought strictly possible.

Weird dream, but very relaxing in a happy, engrossing sense. Feeling whimsical, she let the faux-instincts of her dog self guide her through a winding alley and into a ramshackle shack of dubious alien origin. Is this where that scent had come from?

She nosed around, trying to uncover it. It was... It was... it was like something amazing! She knew it! She'd be so happy to find it! It was so exciting just looking now! Maybe it'd make Tsunade happy, too!

After everything that happened, Mami... had actually been sleeping well. She still had nightmares, but there were far less sleepless nights now that she was well on her way to recovery.

So, like several others, she had been asleep when the change happened. But she was a light enough sleeper to have felt that strange shift, like something pressing in on her brain. She didn't think of it as anything off; just a headache, probably. But it is noticeable enough to pull her from her sleep.

"Hn...?" She sits up, rubbing her eyes. The feeling is already settling down, so maybe she doesn't need to search out some medicine for it...

It was weird, not having Tom in the house. Sam had left the bedroom to Dean, deciding to head downstairs to do some reading. He ended up asleep on the couch, feet hanging over the end and one arm off the side. Bobby was asleep beside the couch. All in all, it was fairly normal.

Except there was something not entirely right, something that was bringing Sam back around to being awake.
