Is Your Love Strong Enough? Part 2 - Personal Interwoven Soulcatchers

Following you awakening and talking with a few of the members through the communication systems by way of the three kind people who had awakened her, Nezaitben realized how the crew was stuck in a terrible mess.

So many of them felt sad and depressed. Considering the entire ship, it wasn't too hard to see why. The next day, there had been an unusual amount of magical flowers spreading all over the ship. Nothing that damaged the controls (she might be naive in the way humanoids were, but Nezaitben was no fool either) but they were found in the most unexpected of places. Her own awakening area was now blooming in a flower paradise, the wooden palace standing proudly on top, the smell and pink cherry blossom strong enough to carry through most of the central city area where most people resided.

Yet the ship was still sad.

This would not do.

That night, or what passed as a night for in the ship, Nezaitben took to the 'sky', letting pieces of her own essence fall on top of the sleeping populace, or those that were not sleeping finding themselves feeling the need too. Enveloping the ship into a peaceful slumber, she searched their dreams. The powers granted to her by the pantheon of gods in her homeworld allowed Nezaitben to weave a series of dreamcatchers giving her the ability to see those whose hearts connected true.

These noble souls would do. Lead by example had always been her philosophy. She would give them a great gift - communication with each other in a single body, allowing them to share everything together. Their two soulcatchers were woven together that night into a single, grand ones, hanging in the garden's trees.

A few minutes later, the empty husks of the bodies that weren't being used showed up at her palace. With a smile, she welcomed them like her own children and began to dress them for their task.

That morning, some of the crewmen would wake up to a strange surprise...and that would just be the beginning of a long, strange misunderstanding and young gods trying too much to please everyone.

[OOC - Just a few rules. Keep in mind the listed rules. You can all start your own threads of waking up in the bodies of others. If you feel like leaving a 2nd post for other people to intact with them, start a reply to your own first post with OPEN header. That way everyone else will know where to post and if you don't feel like having an open interaction post right away, you won't have to!

There will also be another post for all the soulless characters to go around spreading joy and love, so look forward to that too!]

Devlin and Hikari

Devlin didn't remember falling asleep, but he was so out of it that he didn't bother thinking about it much when he woke up. None of his thoughts were coherent; he was just too groggy.

It was going to take him a while to realize just what had happened.

Hikari yawned, sitting up in her bed. She didn't feel good, something seemed off, especially around her head. She rubbed her head with her hands for a moment, before deciding that getting up and dressed was probably a good idea. Her nightgown that she had gotten on that first shore leave wasn't good for wearing around the ship.

So there she went, getting up out of her bed and heading over to where her plantsuit was resting, just near the mirror that the WITCH bus had given her.

Hikari looked over into the mirror for a few moments, sighing as she realized that her eyes looked a bit bloodshot. Maybe she hadn't gotten enough sleep. That'd definitely make sense considering how odd her head felt right now.

Still standing in front of the mirror, Hikari pulled off her nightgown, leaving her in nothing but her underwear.

Devlin felt himself moving, but he was too tired to think about how he didn't seem to be in control of himself.

But then he was in front of the mirror, with a perfect view.

"What?" he exclaimed, hearing Hikari's voice. "Hikari--how? What?"

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] chosenlightchld.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Hikari's eyes widened as she heard her voice speak in confusion. "What... what's going on!?"

Oh god she was possessed by something how the heck did this work and when did it happen and ohgodshewasnearlynakedand...

Yeah, Hikari let out a loud scream and jumped back to her bed, moving to hide under the blanket.

Tailmon's eyes snapped open, and she looked up at Hikari. "What's gotten into you?"

At the same time Hikari's eyes were going wide open, Devlin was trying to shut them.

This was bad. This was really bad. He was somehow inside Hikari's body or mind or something, and he was seeing things that were going to get him hit.

"What's going on?" he cried. "I didn't even touch the W Driver or anything!"

Ow, that was really odd, feeling your eye lids snap close and open at the same time. Or trying to, anyway. But that last thing she heard/said was... well...

"... Devlin? What did you do!?" she shouted. How could Devlin even try to do something like this? He, they were... they were, she really trusted him and...

Tailmon blinked. "Hikari. Stop talking to yourself."

"I didn't!" Devlin insisted. "I don't know what happened--I just felt tired all of a sudden, and I fell asleep, and when I woke up, I was you!"

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] chosenlightchld.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Hikari sighed, taking a deep breath and holding the blanket tighter around her body. She needed to relax and think, just relax. What Devlin said made sense? Besides, if he and tried to do this on purpose, well, he wouldn't have freaked out like that.

"I'm sorry. This is just weird."

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] farfrom-tree.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
"That doesn't even begin to cover it," Devlin admitted.

It helped that Hikari had wrapped a blanket around herself, but Devlin still couldn't help but feel uncomfortable.

"Um, just how are you--we--going to get dressed?"

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] chosenlightchld.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Hikari sighed. "Probably by closing my-no, our- eyes and trying to get the plantsuit on."

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] farfrom-tree.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
This was going to be rough. It wasn't just getting dressed, it was everything else. It had taken Devlin long enough to get over the awkwardness of having a crush on Hikari. Now, with him this uncomfortably close to her...

"We've got to figure out how to undo this."

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] chosenlightchld.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
"I know," Hikari said. "But if this is just us, what could be causing it? I mean, we canceled that pactio, so we aren't even linked that way anymore."

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] farfrom-tree.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
The pactio. That had to be it.

"The ermine," Devlin said, glowering. "He set up the pactio. If this is some kind of side-effect, it'd be his fault!"

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] chosenlightchld.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Hikari blinked. "Okay, but we're not connected with a pactio anymore. Even if that still works that way, why isn't Negi smushed in here with us?"

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] farfrom-tree.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
"What else could it be, then?" Devlin asked.

Hurting the ermine had been his last idea. Unless somehow, it was something screwy with his powers...

"I don't think it's my powers," he admitted. "I absorb matter, not people. And if I did powers or energy, it wouldn't be like this, I'd just..."

Be crazy, he finished silently.

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] chosenlightchld.livejournal.com 2011-11-26 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
Hikari shook her head. "It could be anything. Something wrong with Stacy, the Dailog messing something up, and artifact that got picked up... There's no way to figure it out until we find out how many people are affected."

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] at-a-peak.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
"This is going to take a while," Devlin sighed.

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] chosenlightchld.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Hikari sighed as well, which probably sounded really weird considering that her body just sighed because Devlin just sighed.

... This was going to get confusing really fast.

Either way, Hikari moved to walk over to the mirror, avoiding looking at said mirror and grabbing her plantsuit before forcing her eyes shut.

And Devlin? You were in big trouble if her eyes opened before she was done getting changed.

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] at-a-peak.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, there was no way they were opening. Devlin had gotten an eyeful and a good enough freakout already.

"So what should we do first?"

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] chosenlightchld.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Good boy Devlin.

Hikari made sure to finish getting changed rather quickly, before opening her eyes. "We should check the omnicomms. That way we can check to see if this is happening to anyone else."

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] farfrom-tree.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Good plan," Devlin said, beginning to turn.

And then he paused. "Uh, where do you keep your omnicomm anyway?"

Re: Devlin and Hikari

[identity profile] chosenlightchld.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Hikari couldn't help but giggle a bit. "Right here," she said, moving over to a nearby dresser and opening up the top drawer, pulling it out to check to see if there was any mention about what was going on.
