Is Your Love Strong Enough? Part 2 - Personal Interwoven Soulcatchers

Following you awakening and talking with a few of the members through the communication systems by way of the three kind people who had awakened her, Nezaitben realized how the crew was stuck in a terrible mess.

So many of them felt sad and depressed. Considering the entire ship, it wasn't too hard to see why. The next day, there had been an unusual amount of magical flowers spreading all over the ship. Nothing that damaged the controls (she might be naive in the way humanoids were, but Nezaitben was no fool either) but they were found in the most unexpected of places. Her own awakening area was now blooming in a flower paradise, the wooden palace standing proudly on top, the smell and pink cherry blossom strong enough to carry through most of the central city area where most people resided.

Yet the ship was still sad.

This would not do.

That night, or what passed as a night for in the ship, Nezaitben took to the 'sky', letting pieces of her own essence fall on top of the sleeping populace, or those that were not sleeping finding themselves feeling the need too. Enveloping the ship into a peaceful slumber, she searched their dreams. The powers granted to her by the pantheon of gods in her homeworld allowed Nezaitben to weave a series of dreamcatchers giving her the ability to see those whose hearts connected true.

These noble souls would do. Lead by example had always been her philosophy. She would give them a great gift - communication with each other in a single body, allowing them to share everything together. Their two soulcatchers were woven together that night into a single, grand ones, hanging in the garden's trees.

A few minutes later, the empty husks of the bodies that weren't being used showed up at her palace. With a smile, she welcomed them like her own children and began to dress them for their task.

That morning, some of the crewmen would wake up to a strange surprise...and that would just be the beginning of a long, strange misunderstanding and young gods trying too much to please everyone.

[OOC - Just a few rules. Keep in mind the listed rules. You can all start your own threads of waking up in the bodies of others. If you feel like leaving a 2nd post for other people to intact with them, start a reply to your own first post with OPEN header. That way everyone else will know where to post and if you don't feel like having an open interaction post right away, you won't have to!

There will also be another post for all the soulless characters to go around spreading joy and love, so look forward to that too!]

Homura catches on quickly as to what is happening. Her body feels different; the surroundings also different. Waking up and moving to sit up is not her own movement, and then she distinctly hears thoughts that are not hers. She looks down with someone else's eyes and sees loose blonde hair.

To say the least, Homura never expected such a situation. She does not move Mami's arms and legs or even her head beyond looking around, but instead thinks very clearly and carefully to the other girl, hoping she will hear her. She concentrates very hard so as to let none of her other thoughts bleed over. Mami may catch a glimpse of it, though-- of how tired and unamused Homura is, and before that the processing of what is happening.

"Good morning." And without meaning to do it, she speaks quietly in Mami's voice: "What's going on? Do you know?"

There's nothing stranger than hearing - feeling - yourself talk without you yourself doing it. And there are those thoughts, solid and clear amidst her own, still a bit fuzzy from sleep. And even though her voice sounds the same, the tone is different. Familiar.

"Wha... Akemi-san?" If the surprise in her voice wasn't clear enough, the similar thoughts would be a dead giveaway. "No, I don't know what's going on..."

"Then neither of us do," she thinks. She doesn't like the sound of Mami's voice where her own should be-- it is odd and it feels completely unnatural, so she tries to use thoughts to speak. There is the thought of dislike, and Homura gathers that into words: "... I do not care for this, so let's figure this out quickly."

Mami couldn't blame her for that flash of dislike. She was the lucky one, as incredibly strange as it was to suddenly wake up sharing a mind and body with someone. She can't even imagine what waking up in a body that isn't yours must feel like.

"Right. Knowing some of the people here, I'm sure someone has already gotten this all figured out." She pauses though, curiosity getting the better of her. "Are you merely an..." What would be the right word for it? "Observer? Or are you able to look about on your own?"

There's a brief flash of worry crossing her mind. There was still a barrier between them... she could feel what Homura was feeling, so it had to work in reverse, right? That... couldn't be good...

"Yes, I am able," she says with Mami's voice-- by mistake. And she demonstrates by standing up. It is a slow movement, meant to not startle Mami too much. Her intent is obvious in the thoughts she lets leak through, and the thoughts she tries to hold back.

"... I'll try to let you move on your own, and to not interfere too much. Let's go and find our answers."

It's incredibly odd to try and settle back and not move while also leaving your body open to movement. Homura isn't sure how to do it so it's awkward, and Mami's body stumbles forward.

This is... entirely too surreal. Mami isn't startled, no. She knows it's Homura making her stand, but that doesn't really take away from the complete and utter strangeness of her body moving without her commanding it to.

Her shock wears off when she stumbles forward, and she manages to catch herself before she falls. She keeps moving, on her way out and looking for someone to help them.

"You shouldn't feel the need to keep to yourself, Akemi-san." Mami said, as the thought of how strange this must look, talking to myself crossed her mind. "This will only be temporary, I'm sure, but that can't be comfortable."
