Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"Yeah, well it makes me feel better," Donna said quietly. "I'll shout as much as I want to, thank you very much. And what's that got to do anything? If the world's been destroyed, it's not like what I was doing matters anymore, does it?"

"It matters more then you might think it does." Donna Noble was a walking, ticking Time Lord bomb that could go off at the slightest resurfacing of her memories. She had to get her out of her and straight to the medical ward, that much she knew. Getting her there, though, would be tricky.

"Enlighten me, please."

Donna sighed, rolling her eyes. She didn't see the point of this, but she didn't exactly have anything else to do right now, did she? "I was at home, listening to my mother rant. Though I don't see why that's any of your business."

Just as she suspected. Time to lie, lie, liiiiie. That Doctor wasn't here, so she had to improvise all on her own. "Have you had a medical check up yet? I can show you were the medical bay is if you'd like?" She's smiling and acting as if nothing at all were wrong with this situation.

"Do I look sick to you?" Donna said, quirking her eyebrows. "Is that really the first thing you expect me to do here? Go to the doctor?" If only Donna knew the irony of her words. If she still had her memories right now, finding the Doctor would have been the first thing she'd tried to do. She'd have been asking everyone she could if they'd seen him. But now, she thought a doctor was just another medical professional.

"How about instead, you tell me where the hell I'm supposed to live now that I don't have a home anymore?"

"No, it's just a standard check up. Everyone around here is going to get one." River really doesn't know much about Donna, except she was much loved by the Doctor and had a Time Lord altered brain carefully hidden away. "I'll tell you where you can stay on the way there." Please, Donna, don't be stubborn about this.

Donna was the wrong person to expect to not be stubborn, River. "On the way there?" she said, lips persued. "Did I say I was going? I think I have the right to not have to get poked and prodded after waking up here, in this...this place, don't you? Is being able to have my own space for just one day, one day, too much to ask for?"

Everything was gone. Everything. And Donna didn't know how to deal with it. Didn't want to deal with it. She both wanted to cry and shout at the world.
