The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"...Indeed. I suppose if you're not a laguz, then I needn't worry about you trying to destroy the world?"

She shakes her head at that.

"Indeed not, I have no interest in the destruction of worlds, just in the study of many aspects of many worlds,"

Soren snaps his book closed. Odd -- very odd, how there are so many here who resemble those he's encountered before, but claim no knowledge of his world.

"And yet your own world was destroyed... or so the story goes."

Celena dips her head she knows well that feeling. Not a single individual aboard the ship knew of her world in particular. A twinge of sadness crosses her features at the mention.

"All who are aboard this vessel have supposedly had there worlds destroyed by the menace known as the Ohm as you have likely heard, nevertheless I still do my all to learn what I can, yes,"

"I see." A pause.

"And what have you learned about out would-be destroyers? Weaknesses? Strategies? Their reason for wanting to unravel the fabric of countless fates?"

Soren was very interested in strategy.

"Their reasons for attacking are as yet unknown, however I will tell you what I know.." she replies and taps the crystal hanging around her neck which glows in response and shows each type of Ohm in turn as she goes on to detail what is known about the Ohm.

Soren's expression is one of disgust, especially at some of the Ohm subspecies. But he's used to dealing with different classes of enemy -- and that's really all these Ohm are. Numbers. Playing pieces on a map. "I see... so they gather up the corpses of the dead to feed their own number. How ghoulish."

Then he glances at the crystal around her neck. "You do not use the same device to store information as the others?" He meant the Omnicomm, of course.

Celena dipped her head at his assessment as she finished the explanation, "Very much so,"

"I still utilize the Omnicomms for communication, but yes, this Knowledge crystal is something of my own making. Each can store vast amounts of information in a less restrictive manner to the communications devices," Gesturing to the small pack strapped to a forelimb that held her omnicomm as she spoke before nodding.

"Hmm. Interesting. I suppose we've no need to know why they attack in order to fight them..." Although if Ike were here, wouldn't he want to find out? And it would then be his job to offer that information, if he could. Perhaps the matter was worth more investigation, after all.

His gaze dipped briefly to her pack, then moves back upward. "So you, too, are a mage of sorts. Unless this is more...'technology'."

He paused.

"You say you enjoy learning about other worlds?"

"True, however insight into why these attacks take place could better aid in our cause to stop them,"

She watched him with interested at his questions before dipping her head, "You could call me such, I have my own manners of magic. This however is something of a mix of the two, of both technology and magic to be put simply,"

"I do indeed, whether it be the cultures of those who live on those worlds to their technology or magic should the case be, even the natural order of the world all of this I find quite fascinating,"

He clasped his hands behind him. "Or aid us in destroying them. I, for one, would like my world back." And the people that went with it, he supposed.

"...Although I suppose that in some ways, disaster has caused opportunity. I was not even aware there were worlds other than mine," he admitted. "Certainly, the idea of traveling amongst them or meeting those who do would have been out of the question for me previously."

Another pause.

"Since it seems we met under some misunderstanding, allow me to offer information about my world in recompense."

It was an apology! Kind of.

"As would everyone on board I have little doubt," She replied with a light dip of her head.

"In a sense indeed, it has opened the opportunity to learn about many other worlds, other worlds and even other realities entirely where previously one may be restricted in what they may know or have possible to them," She replied with a sense of enthusiasm as to the idea, without mentioning whether or not she herself had previously been aware of other worlds or not.

"I've had many a varied reaction among first meetings here, do not worry, I would be interested in learning about your world,"

Soren nodded. "In brief, I come from the Tellius continent. Aside from the continent itself and a series of islands, it is the only known land mass on my world. Due to a disaster hundreds of years ago, much of the world was engulfed in torrential flooding.

"The known area of Tellius is divided into eight nations: three beorc and five laguz, although the nation of Hatari is separated from all the rest by a great desert. And every so often, war erupts amongst these nations, though there exists a legend that if the whole of Tellius should ever be consumed by conflict, a god of destruction will awaken and destroy all." And it was, more or less, true.
