Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Kimberly nodded. Was she really that experienced? She herself had only been a ranger for little more than a year. "It's going to be different fighting with a whole new team. But I'm sure you're all great" She trusted Billy judgement and she knew he wouldn't have just given the power to anyone.

Andy nodded. Well, she was still more experienced than he was. He only had a couple of months of experience, but most of that wasn't in fighting, but rather just training. "Well, it's not an entirely new team. I mean, Billy's there too, right?"

[identity profile] powerbow.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Right" she said. Knowing that Billy was here made her more confident in being here herself. She for one would have never been able to make the powers of the prototypes work. "So, how do you like it? Being a ranger I mean."

[identity profile] andyallgrownup.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
Andy nodded. "Yeah. It's pretty good. I'm definitely more useful here as a Ranger than well, as just a normal teenager, that's for sure."

[identity profile] powerbow.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
Better as a ranger than a normal teen? "Being a ranger is awesome and I'm glad I choose to become one." Kimberly said with a look of concern on her face. "But everyone's important. Ranger or not. I'm sure you were someone's super hero before Billy gave you the powers." She smiled at the with a tilt of her head.

Andy laughed at that. "Sure, maybe I was to someone. But that didn't really help with when the Ohm came to my world. And well, there's not really that much a freshmen collage student can really do on this ship, when you think about it. Though I guess if I never became a ranger I could've helped take care of those kids that are around."

[identity profile] powerbow.livejournal.com 2011-07-05 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
"There are kids here?" Kimberly hadn't thought about it before. But if she was here why wouldn't there be kids who woke up?

[identity profile] andyallgrownup.livejournal.com 2011-07-10 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
Andy nodded. "Yeah. A good part of me wishes that they weren't, that they were still sleeping in the pods, but well, obviously that's not what the ship had in mind. Some of them do have powers though, but even so, kids shouldn't need to be dealing with things like this."

[identity profile] powerbow.livejournal.com 2011-07-11 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
Kids shouldn't be fighting. But who was she to say anything? Kimberly herself was only sixteen. Some may say she's a kid. Though she didn't think of herself as such. "They.. don't fight do they? I mean against the ohm?" She was think of her brother back home. She would hate it if he was forced to fight in a battle against Zedd's monsters.

[identity profile] andyallgrownup.livejournal.com 2011-07-11 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
Andy sighed. "From what I heard, a few of them did fight against the Ohm in one of the major confrontations that we had with them. Not the last time, but the one before that. Of course, everyone was on the planet for a shore leave at the time, so that might've had something to do with it."

[identity profile] powerbow.livejournal.com 2011-07-11 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"I hope none of them were hurt." She said putting a hand to her lip. Kimberly was worried about the kids, she had spent so much time with children back home.

[identity profile] andyallgrownup.livejournal.com 2011-07-11 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Andy sighed. "So do I. I haven't really heard or looked into it as much as I should've, at least as far as injuries and stuff like that go."

[identity profile] powerbow.livejournal.com 2011-07-12 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Kimberly shook her head. Why did she have to go toward gloom and doom? "Sorry. Totally killed the friendly mood." She offered an apologetic smile as she looked off. "It's just I work with kids a lot back home." She didn't go into the big sister program for nothing.

[identity profile] andyallgrownup.livejournal.com 2011-07-13 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
Andy nodded. "It's alright. It's not your fault. Besides, friendliness is a bit hard in this place at first. At least, with the situation we're in."

[identity profile] powerbow.livejournal.com 2011-07-14 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
"Really?" everyone seemed so nice and happy to offer help or give information. "I guess every place has it's ups and downs." She shrugged offering up a little smile.

[identity profile] andyallgrownup.livejournal.com 2011-07-15 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah. It's a bit easier after you've been here for a while, but in general just waking up here can be a bit difficult," Andy said. "I'm actually surprised I was anywhere near as civil as I was when I first woke up."
