Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

She noticed another winged being, though he did not look like anything she knew, not like a Draconian. But he was speaking a language she knew and understood. She responded with submissive body language, keeping her head down.

"Hello, Sir. May I help you?"

If she were a gargoyle, she would probably be greeting him with more familiarity. And she does look a great deal like another crew member he once mistook for one of his kind.

"Young one, you are a draconian, are you not?"

She paused, tail flicking behind her as the only show of her own uncertainty. "I am, my name is Krisi. Do you know other draconians?"

"There is one here by the name of Kang to whom I owe a great debt, and my friendship."

Speaking of Kang, where the heck is his wingbro?

"I do not know where he has gone, but his inn is a gathering-place in the City. If he is part of your clan or your family," or whatever social structure draconians organize themselves by, Goliath doesn't know - "I do not doubt you would meet him there."

From the look on her face, the name was obviously a good choice. "I know him yes, the Lord-Governor. He is my uncle." A lie, such a lie, but if this person was not her father's friend, revealing herself to him could be dangerous. She needed to practice caution.

Papa was here, Papa was here and she was not alone.

"Where is his place in the city?"

Goliath considers the crowd, the people still emerging, and wonders, if he waits long enough, if it is not possible that he should see a familiar face among these newly awakened -

- but a young one of his friend's clan is here, and he has become conditioned to disappointment at these meet-and-greets after so long.

"It is close to the forge and the transportation elevators." And this likely makes little sense to the little draconian. For all that they do not share a species, they share certain elements of body language that come with having wings and a tail and being clan-based reptilian predators. Goliath crouches to speak to the young draconian closer to her level, aware that she is young and nervous in an environment she has every right to be nervous about, speaking to a stranger she has no way to know is telling the truth about her uncle.

"Your uncle is a valiant soldier and a good friend. He cared for a member of my clan when she was new to this ship, and likely saved her life. I could not call myself his friend if I did not offer his family that same protection. I will show you the way if you wish to go there."

"My uncle is a leader to our people, and a great teacher to me." She bowed her head in quiet thanks. "You must know him well, Sir, and he you, if he should protect a member of your clan." She smiled, a strange expression on her reptilian face, but he knew her father, and must know how they smiled, and that the show of teeth did not mean anything aggressive at all.

"I would like to go where he dwells, yes, thank you sir. When he returns, I hope he can find a use for me." She hoped he had been safe and that she would see him soon. That was her hope, but she could not voice that. "He lives close to the forge?"
