Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Ash, after finding his hat and Pokeballs, entered the Obs Deck and was almost immediately dogpiled. Pikachu, Charizard, Gible, Oshawott, Heracross, and even Sceptile basically collapsed on top of him, hugging him. Finished, Pikachu took his customary place on the trainer's shoulder.

"Guys! It's great to see you...are any of the others here?" Ash asked, figuring the eclectic group might mean there were more of his Pokemon here. They shook their heads.

"Alright. Don't worry, we'll figure something out. We always do, right?" He said optimistically, even though he wasn't quite feeling that way.

The other non-humans were what caught Nanaki's eye. But were they beasts much like he was? Regardless, his ability to interact with humans was not much different than that to do so with other creatures.

Cautiously, he crept toward the happily reunited group.

The group stared at the newcomer curiously, and Ash pulled out his Pokedex. No reading whatsoever.

"Er, hi?" He said.

"Hello," he greeted back, giving a look to the Pokedex in Ash's hand. It looked different than those omnicomm things everybody else had received. "What is that device you just pointed at me?"

"It's a Pokedex. It usually does this:" Ash pointed it at Pikachu.

"Pikachu, the Mouse Pokémon, and the evolved form of Pichu. Pikachu's tail is sometimes struck by lightning as it raises it to check its surroundings."

"I kinda thought you were a Pokemon and was trying to figure out what kind you were. Sorry."

"A Pokemon?"

He glanced at the group around Ash. "Is that what you are?"

A chorus of bit of their names came up, sounding like an affirmative, especially since the ones that could nodded their heads.

Nanaki was a beast aside from his emotional and more person-like side, so he understood them more than well enough.

"I see..." At least it wasn't a annoying or off-putting way to make it known that somebody had never seen something like him before. It had been more curiosity than uneasiness or fear. He turned back to Ash, though he addressed the Pokemon, too. "I am Nanaki."

"I'm Ash, and these guys're Pikachu, Charizard, Heracross, Sceptile, Gible, and Oshawott."

"Have you just woken up, too?"

Dawn, for her part, had taken to stopping by only once or twice every month to see if anyone from her world had arrived. So far, no luck. Piplup, perched on her head, glanced around to look for familiar faces.

"Any luck?" Dawn asked, to which the Penguin Pokemon shook his head. She'd almost gotten used to it by this point, but quickly shook her head and smiled confidently.

"No need to worry, Piplup...but I've got an idea! Use Bubblebeam~!"

Nodding, Piplup fired a rapid array of bubbles in the air that popped and lightly showered various people with traces of water.

Ash was, well, not the most intelligent of people. But he could recoginze a Bubblebeam when he saw it, especially that specific version.

"Piplup?...DAWN! OVER HERE!"

"...Ash? ASH!" Dawn excitedly made her way toward Ash, not holding her hand up for a high five until she was within arm's reach.

"Pikaka! Pi-kachu!" Added Pikachu to the calls.

Ash, well, he tried to get over to her. But with the team trying to follow, especially considering half of them were fully evolved, it was more than a little difficult. Still, a high-five was imminent, and almost immediately followed by a hug.

"Ohman, Dawn. It's good to see ya. Is anyone else here?' Ash said, trying to see if Brock was possibly behind her.

Dawn smiled excitedly and hugged Pikachu, afterward Piplup did likewise-high five, just like Dawn.

At hearing Ash's question however, she shook her head. "Just me and my Pokemon. Speaking of which...are those your Pokemon?" Her eyes widened in surprise and amazement at seeing the rest of Ash's party.

Except for Pikachu...this wasn't the Sinnoh party she'd gotten used to.

"Oh yeah. You haven't met Charizard or Oshawott yet. I caught Oshawott in Unova. And you know Heracross, Sceptile, and- GIBLE! NO!" The landshark had just latched onto Piplup's head.

"Piplup, piplup!" Dawn could only smile sheepishly as Piplup ran around for a few seconds, unable to see properly with a Gible biting his head, before slamming into a nearby wall and falling over.

"You went to Unova, huh? That sounds awesome, Ash!" Dawn eagerly pulled out her Pokedex and looked up Oshawott's information, which wasn't much as said Pokedex hadn't quite been upgraded, and checked out Charizard's information. "How come you never used Charizard during our entire journey? With a powerhouse like that, Paul would've lost big time during your first 6-6 battle.

"Speaking of Pokemon you haven't met yet...COME OUT, EVERYONE~!" Seconds later, Buneary, Pachirisu, Mamoswine, Togekiss and Quilava appeared around Dawn. "The last time we were together, I had Cyndaquil. Things are a little different now."

Ash shrugged. "Cuz' it would be kinda going against the reason I leave my Pokemon at Professor Oak's when I start a new region. If I kept beating Trainers just cause my Pokemon are really strong, I wouldn't really be learning anything."

Ash's team greeted Dawn's, Gible letting go of Piplup's head to do so. Oshawott however, only had eyes for Buneary. "Oshaa..." he said, walking up to her, blushing.

While Sabrina was not very social (which had been brought to her sttention before) she knew it was important to see if anyone from her world had shown up. Particularly, if it was someone she knew... As she looked around, she then spotted Ash and his Pokemon team.

"Hello, Ash." The Psychic Gym Leader greeted as warmly as she could.

Ash's eyes widened. Now there was a blast from the past.

"Sabrina?" "Pika-pika?"

"Ohman, it's good too see ya again. Wish it could've been back home instead of here though."

A rare smile is featured on Sabrina. "Heh. I know that feeling, Ash. I um, really sorry for what I did to you and your friends." While she was happy Ash was here, it also was a bit bittersweet since of the things she did in the past. A crackle came from one of her Pokemon and Haunter came out, trying to lick Ash's Oshawatt.

"Hey, it's fine as long as ya never do it again." Ash answered amicably, beofre lighting up at the sight of the ghost-type.

"Hey! Haunter!"

"OSHAAA!" shouted the otter, flailing adn hiding behind his trainer.

"That you have my word on it." Sabrina turned to Oshawott, who was still hiding from Haunter. "This must be one of your new Pokemon. Hello there."

"Osha." Oshawott said apprehensively, still hiding

"Sorry, he's a little freaked by Ghost-Types, after this whole mess with a Yamask. Come on Oshawott. Haunter's a friend of mine." Taking this as a cue that it might be okay to stop hiding, Oshawott slowly peeked his head out from behind Ash's legs.
