Neither Rachel nor Marco had any real trust in the medical situation they'd both been forced into. It seemed like they had been tricked and betrayed; and it meant that there were instantly a few more people crossed off their list of who they should trust when they escaped. In fact-- it left them at each other, it seemed, when they did escape from medical, two cockroaches slipping out of sight while medical was distracted from them.

Of course, this was compounded by the fact that several communications posts went up shortly after-- one announcing a Quarantine (thankfully they'd gotten out in time for that) and one announcing their abilities to the crew to warn them. And then things got worse-- Marco's morphing began to get weird, and Rachel... literally split into two.

This wasn't going well.

((ooc: As Blue's OOC post said, we need to make sure that only the people signed up for taking the two 'groups' (Nice Rachel and Marco in one corner, just Mean Rachel in the other) to Quarantine are the ones who actually do that. Other than that, feel free to try and do it! Tag under the header for whoever you want to thread with and feel free set the scene, and ours will enter in. :) ))

Fuck. Fuck!

What the hell was happening? One minute Rachel was her usual self, the the next minute there was two of her. Except this time, he was pretty sure she hadn't been anywhere near morphing starfish.

"Okay, time to go, let's morph!" he'd said quickly to Nice Rachel, grabbing her hand and trying to move in any direction that was the opposite to Mean Rachel's. He remembered all to well what had happened the last time this had happened (he'd never though he'd have to go through this again), and he knew it wasn't going to be good. Especially since, you know, Mean Rachel had tried to kill him and all.

He started morphing osprey, but instead of the feathers he expected to sprout from he skin it started turning grey, and leathery. His face morphed out into some strange and bizarre kind of huge horned beak, so large and heavy that he couldn't hold his head up.

What the hell was happening?! What was wrong with him?! Why had he morphed into some strange osprey/rhino combination, and not just the osprey like he'd meant to?

He tried to flap his wings, but all he had was the gray leathery skin covering a vague approximation of a wing-shaped appendage, and he felt himself begin to panic.

This shouldn't be happening!

"Oh my god, oh my god!" One Rachel was staring at the mess that Marco was becoming. It was-- disgusting quite frankly. Her voice rose in a shrill scream at the sight, her hands shooting up to her face. It was absolutely horrifying to see, to her. Why was he doing something like that?! No way was she going to morph now-- it was gross enough and scary enough on its own, but what if something like that happened to her?!

Meanwhile, the other Rachel was reacting much differently. Naturally. "What the hell are you doing?!" Rachel yelled, volume nearly matching that of the screams of her counterpart. What the fuck was Marco's problem?! He was freaking out and doing weird morphs-- she bristled, wondering what his issue was.

"Aigh doicht knhow!" Marco said, once he'd demorphed enough to get something resembling speech out. For a moment, in his rush to get out of this morph even the problem of the two Rachels was shoved down the priority list. "That wasn't supposed to happen!"

The freakish morph disappeared, and Marco was left human, gasping for air, and trying to figure out what the hell had gone wrong.

Nice Rachel's hands were still clasped over her mouth, a terrified sound escaping between her fingers. "That's, like, totally gross Marco," she commented helpfully.

"Well stop," snapped Mean Rachel, grinding her teeth and practically growling. "So that she can shut up before I shut her up."

"Do I look like I'm still morphing?" Marco said, trying to cover the panic creeping into his voice. He stared at Rachel - both Rachel's - and tried not to think to hard about how utterly screwed he was right now. "And what the hell is up with you, huh? When did you morph the starfish again?"

"I didn't morph it again, jackass. I've only ever morphed it once," her voice rose to a shout again as she said it (and a meeker voice added that she'd "never morph it again! It was totally horrible!"). "Learn to keep up. It wasn't even that long ago."

"Right, so you just went and forgot the last time, did you?" Marco said, sarcastic. Although the idea that Rachel might have lost memories was...disturbing. That was what they had claimed.

Had Stacy gotten to Rachel too?

"I did not-- not shut the hell up." The comment was threatening as Mean Rachel took a few quick steps forward, snarling. "Back off all ready."

Remembering what had happened the last time Rachel had told him to shut up, and he didn't(and that hadn't even mean ultra-psycho Mean Rachel!) Marco decided to stay silent, just watching Mean Rachel warily.

"Uh, Marco?" Nice Rachel finally butted in, voice quiet and sniffling a little. "Can we, like, get out of here now?" She was scared by her other self.

Mean Rachel growled at that, and shouted, "Like hell. Neither of you are going anywhere." She took a few quick steps forward, but her body was already slowing-- she was starting to grow to a much larger size.

Fuck, that wasn't good. He did not want to get stuck with an angry Mean Rachel who looked like she was morphing elephant. He needed a way to get out of here, and he needed it now.

"Hey, is that Visser One over there?" he said suddenly, pointing off in the distance and hoping like hell that she'd fall for it.

Mean Rachel whipped around at that, voice gurgling as the shape of her throat changed with the rest of her body: "Where is she?!" she shouted, before stumbling from the sudden jerk of movement as her body lost its ability to really support itself.

Okay, time to go!

The moment Mean Rachel had turned around, Marco was up, grabbing Nice Rachel's arm again, and dragging her into one of the nearby alleys and running.
